Hallo alle,
I have a question, how can I get in the bootloader? Power + volume down?
Sent from my HTC EVO 3D
That is correct. Make sure to uncheck fastboot in your settings, or restart your phone. When choosing to restart, watch LEDs go out at the bottom of the phone. When they go out, hold volume down.

Yup, power & volume -.....Make sure fastboot is unchecked in settings>power. You could also download quick boot from the market, which will allow you to boot to the bootloader or recovery straight from the rom. Also a lot of the updated custom roms have these options built into the power button prompt.
You can make sure by pulling the battery for a few seconds before powering on and holding down the down volume. That is how I first did mine.
many thanks guys!!

I am rooted and was just going to try and install the new radio when I noticed I can not get into the bootloader screen anymore. I power off then hold the Volume down and Power at the same time instead of the bootloader it is just powering back on. Any help is appreciated
Last where do you go to see the radio version that is currently loaded?
Thank, figured it out!
Radio version is in the Settings > About Phone on a Sense rom I believe, I'm on CM7 so it's a tiny bit different.
Hold vol- first, then press and hold the power button. I believe pressing power first then vol- doesn't "activate" the bootloader so to speak.
Make sure fast boot is off.

Or since your rooted get quick boot from market and just click on bootloader and it reboots in bootloader

Whenever I turn off my phone and try and hold down the volume key, it vibrates and then restarts. Pretty much bypassing my ability to get into HBoot. I even wait for almost a minuter before starting the phone. Only thing that seems to works is a battery pull but this is a pain. So what am I missing here?
Thanks
app "quickboot" should work. Also, power down, then while off, hold vol down press power. also, adb reboot bootloader. also, in terminal emulator, reboot bootloader. Most of those should work.
I tried the vol down but like I said it wasn't working. Quickbook works great so thanks.

Quick boot is the easiest, imo. The reason volume down and power wasn't working is because you have fastboot enabled. To disable it go to menu-settings-power and then uncheck fastboot.

Any ideas what can i do through adb???
thanx!
hey guys, try taking the battery out, put it back in, then hold the vol.down and press power and hold. It usually works for me.
AKA, you might of Brick your phone, did you finally fix it?
I got an Atrix from a friend who was having problems with it.
I tried turning it on and it stays tuck in a boot loop with the "Dual Core Technology" screen.
I tried a couple of key combinations to see if I could get to fastboot but nothing works. So far I've tried the following combinations:
1. holding the volume up button while powering on
2. holding the volume down button while powering on
3. holding volume up + volume down while putting the battery in and then pressing the power button
4. holding volume up + volume down while putting the battery in and then letting go of volume down and pressing the power button
5. holding power and volume up button while putting the battery in
I also tried this. After holding down the volume up button and pressing the power button, i tried hitting the volume down button once and then hitting volume up, hitting it twice and then volume up, 3 times and volume up, etc. etc. and then plugging in the phone to the computer, just in case the fastboot menu was there but I couldn't see it, but that doesn't seem to work either.
As it stands right now, all I'm getting is the boot loop. The phone had been sitting around for a while so I'm not really sure what the history is so all I have to go off of is what I have in front of me.
I'd appreciate any help in the matter.
Can you tell more history of the phone?
Is it rooted?
Is the bootloader unlocked?
Which ROM is it running if it's running one?

I'm pretty sure its not rooted and almost certain its the stock rom but I have no idea about the bootloader. My friend is not very tech-savy so I'm guessing that the bootloader is locked.
I have no way to verify any of this. All I have at this point is the phone that sits looping at the "dual core technology" screen.
If you have any ideas about which way to proceed from here, I'd greatly appreciate it!
What exactly is happening (down to the last detail) when you boot while holding Vol(-)?

When I have the volume down button pressed while booting, the green led stays on for 4-5 seconds, then the phone boots to the dual core screen, it'll stay there for about 5-7 seconds, then go to the M logo with the ripples and then the screen goes black for a second and then it loops back to the dual core screen. Only, this time, there is no delay between the 'dual core technology' screen and the M logo with the ripples.
Try this:
1) Remove battery
2) Replace battery while holding volume down button
3) Navigate to recovery
Should get you out of the loop.

Maybe the easiest way to get make it work again would be to flash the original stock rom with RSDLite.
It's very easy, you just need to connect your phone via fastboot ( when powering on hold vol(-) key until it says fastboot), then press vol(+) and the computer will detect it.
Just remember to flash the correcto sbf for your phone, otherwise you will have another bootloop.

Where do I get the stock rom?
How about you do some searching on your own for a change?
This time search for fruitcakes. That's the stock ROM.
So I've had my atrix unlocked for some time and have had Epinter's android 4.2.1 running on it smoothly. One day I tried to turn it on and it would only go to the boot logo screen (Motorola for stock) and i cant enter fastboot by using the volume keys. Further, the status light never lights up. This may have happened about a week after installing winterboard (port from iOS) probably a dumb choice, but.
can anyone advise if this is bricked, or a way i can get into fastboot and wipe the thing? any advice is appreciated
no input?! I just read somewhere i may be get it into AP fastboot by holding down both volume keys and power button. would love to get this phone working again!

So if you read something, why haven't you taken the initiative to try it out?
I have. And no luck. just says unlocked and will not toggle through options (fastboot etc). I included it in the post so it wasnt a lame 'bump' post. but thanks for your lame bump post.

Just so we are sure, you were holding down the 'Vol down' key while simultaneously pressing the 'Power' button and the text 'Fastboot' didn't show up, is that right?
Also, did the phone have CWM installed?
Yes. clockwork is installed. Yes I held volume down and power.
If you notice when you cold boot your phone a status light appears before the splash screen, and then turns off. Mine.. Doesnt ever turn on.

^ Unfortunately, that does not sound good at all. Did you have the 'fastboot' options (and the other menu items) enabled before? Would you happen to know exactly what made it go away? Because without that support, there's very little you can do.
You could try charging the battery separately, but I'm not so sure. We might need to know what was done/flashed to get into this state.
Press power + volume up, does it do something?
yes I previously had the option to go into fastboot and the other options (bypass motoblur etc) neither volume up nor volume down get me to the other options - it only stays at saying 'unlocked'.
Maybe the volume keys are broken?
I did install Winterboard by Saurik and that may have caused this problem.
I have used a different battery/charged the battery separately and still nothing.
So not only is my power button not working, Im stuck in the bootloader screen and cant reboot since the power button isn't working. So how can I reboot my phone to at least get it back to being a phone? I took the back part of the phone off to see if I remove the power button and manually press it would that work, no luck there. Any suggestions?
*******Ok so I think I fixed the problem, turns out the power button just need a little bit of help. so if I mess with it to turn off and on it's works. Thanks for the responses, glad to know that when needed, help is there and will be given******
Also, sounds like I might need to be moving on from this phone to the M8. New phone??? well alright!!!!!!

Are you familiar with fastboot? Connect to a PC and use fastboot reboot.

Ok, I am connected to my comp, but how would I fast reboot without the use of the power button?
OK UPDATE!!!
So I held the power button down for a min or so and it shut down and rebooted. But the power button still doesn't work.
Yea I know, it doesn't make sense if the power button doesn't work how did it reboot when I held it down for a min? Im trying to wrap my brain around that one too. lol
