What do you mean? The name of the picture files?

I believe hes asking for a way to put the time/date on each picture taken, like some of the digital cameras can do automatically to each picture. You go into the settings on the camera and set your current time and date then it puts the current time/date on like the lower left corner of the picture.... or something very similar.

[Q/REQ]Re-Tweaked mms.apk for Shirshir's ICS ROM

I'm running Shirshir's ICS ROM, but he hasn't made any changes for quite some time and I have no idea if he's supporting it any longer, so that's why I'm posting this here. The rom uses AOSP gallery and a themed mms.apk, both of which I like, but in this tweaked mms.apk Shirshir removed the ability to add pictures to a text message using the gallery, so you can only add pictures and videos that you take at the time. That is, you can't add ones already taken unless you go through the gallery app itself, and even then you can only send one at a time, you can't add multiple like you could on stock. So my question is, can anyone re-add this ability? Or point me towards how I might do it myself, as I'm very noobish?
P.S. If you happen to make one, I'd also like a switch of the attachment and send buttons in messaging while you're at it XD
Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey!
I know about this problem... I was actually going back to the old gallery to fix this and the lockscreen wallpaper problem. That's the only easy way short of decompiling and fixing the code inside the individual apps... which is useless since I plan to change my ROM to a completely new base eventually.. That's what I've been working on lol.
So, you can't really fix it and keep the stock gallery app. If you want, I can upload the original gallery for you to install, and that should fix everything.

Best shot style camera app

Hi all.
Anyone know of a good camera app that'll take a series of pics in rapid succession and show them to you so you can choose and save the best like with the Galaxy SIII stock camera app? I don't mean take a series of pics and having them all saved to the card and you later have to sort through them. I mean, it takes a few snaps, shows you so you can decide, then saves the ones you chose.
Any help appreciated.

Blink Feed

Search is unavailable at the moment soo
This is completely new for my brother, he finally switched from the dreaded iPhone to an HTC One android phone.. and loves it so far. Buttttt.... he wants to customize the Blink feed to show specific stuff. What can and cant you do with the Blink feed, and how?
For example, he wants BF to only show the news feed he is interested in, and he wants only some of his important buddies texts to show up on it and stuff.. so essentially he just wants to know how to adjust what shows and what doesnt. Thank you all.

If you are in BF and you scroll down (to make it refresh) you will also see that on the right under the weather there are 3 dots that give you options. Within these options you can choose from a limited array of new sources and services that may interest you. Now the display of text messages is not available, they do have some custom options available like: Calendar, HTC Share, Kid Mode and TV. They also include display of Flickr and Linkedln accounts (yea I know.... )
HTC has promised to add more extra content to this, and personally speaking, I hope they do because I use it a lot and I would wish that it would be for something more than the options they provide.
Hope this helps.
Awww man.. I was hoping it was more custom tailored... maybe I should look up some custom ROMS that may add such features?

Don't know if some devs can do some modification, but HTC has seen the response on BF and they know that people love it but wish it would be better, so hopefully 4.3 or 4.4 brings us a great update, I'm one that would line up for it !

The order of the camera images viewer is reversed

I'm using CM 11.
After taking a photo, there's an option to slide the finger and view the images (and the other images taken by the camera).
In my case, for some reason, the order is reversed! It shows the first image ever taken first, I have to slide thousands of images to get to the new image.
Any solution?
Thank you
Any idea?

There is no option of "sort by", there is "group by" which creates annoying folders according to time periods, which isn't what I wanted..

That's what I said, there is only "group by", which isn't the same as "sort as".
I don't want it to be grouped into days. I want to see everything spread sorted by time.
It is indeed sorted by time, but in the reverse order..

use gallery kitkat from playstore
Well it does work, but I really want to use a stock app from a trusted source, and not an external paid app.
I'm sure there's a solution to this bug..

Hmm a stock app from a trusted source huh? If you can learn a lil Java and some minor hacking skills you can always decompile the camera app you "trust" and hunt for the code where the sort operation takes place which I expect to be done by an object of a small private or public class that implements comparator, for reversing the sort it would be a single line of code like comparator.reverse( theArrayListofpics); also it could be totally different simpler or complex code depending on the app, or you can avoid all the above pain in the ass and use a not-so-stock 3rd party apps like Focal by one of the CM devs.

Too Much Music not enough Calendar?

First of all, I absolutely love this app. It's so easy to use yet powerful and the variety is just incredible. I remember a few years ago when I still had a jailbroken iPhone 3GS, it took me a whole afternoon just to make my phone look like one of these themes, now it's just a press of a button.
I just want to voice a little suggestion for the designers out there and if anyone disagrees with me, please send it right back. I think one of the coolest things about Android compared to iOS is the widgets and one widget that many people use often around me is the calendar. Unfortunately, even though there are so many amazing themes made for this app, very few of them actually dedicate enough space to a calendar widget (and often not at all).
Every theme though seems to dedicate a whole page to a music app. From my experience, this isn't really necessary since when a song is playing, i can see it in the notifications shade or when I want to start a new session to listen to music, I probably want to go into the app and choose which song to start with.
So I'm just making a suggestion to include more calendar widgets in future themes because at the moment, there's not enough themes with them but there are too many themes with music widgets. What do you guys think?
or better yet, make a theme yourself and include whatever you want =)

I plan to eventually but I don't have the time right now so I thought I'd make a suggestion for those who do.
A good way to start finding your work-life balance is to challenge yourself to identify one behavior that you can change. What makes you happiest? What stresses you out the most? Determine your answers, then focus on a few areas in which you can improve, whether it's socializing more at work or planning out your day better. Soon you’ll be living happier, too!

Thanks for the self-help tip. It's funny how a suggestion for future themes lead to a lesson on life management! I guess I better keep this in mind the next time I write an app review in the Google Play Store.

well that sorted my life out !!!! seriously how is this helping anyone !!!!!
I understand what you mean that many do try and have more music apps etc and as you mention are not always useful,I am guilty of this myself in some respects, but when I create a style I create them because I want to not because they may or not become popular,as this doesn't concern me.It is all down to personal taste I suppose.
I maybe give this a try in a future theme,to be honest it is a good suggestion in my opinion

Yeah, right now it is the shades of green the only really good theme, if you want events on the home screen. I also feel that all the themes go in a direction of fun and design, and there are only very few, that at least add basic organizer options.
More work related themes would be welcome
I have to second the request for a calendar widget in more of the themes.
I LOVE themer and it's my default launcher now. I use the agenda view of the calendar all the time which gives me the option to scroll through my appointments and meeting times. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of themes that present this option, such as 'Series', 'Silver lining', 'Coordinate' and 'Violet'.
I usually just end up inserting an agenda widget in one of the unused whitespaces in the screen.
I would make my own themes, but I don't have a creative bone in my body. I couldn't hope to come up with anything half as nice as what you guys do on a regular basis.
Thank you for all your hard work. I will certainly be paying for this launcher when it comes out of beta. :good:

Thanks for your response! We've passed this message onto the team and will look into including more agenda-focused themes
