It will be really great if we can have same Trukbey theme ported to Note 2. This theme is very detailed and graphically great looking. I've request this on SGS3 forum but it looks like Turkbey is not working on this theme anymore.
So may be some great Devs can make like this theme for us Note 2 users

Just pull the 1 zip or 2 zips from the rom, & explore for you're self, I think its the system ui but could be wrong, I'm not near my computer at the moment to check so I can't say exactly which one it is? If you're gonna mod the battery icons you're gonna look inside anyway & I takes like 10secs to extract & search the apk? If you don't wanna do that, there are various apps in the playstore you can download for free to look at the framework pics from inside the apks without opening them! Hope this helps.... press thanks if it did

As Maarten already pointed out SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. And if you want to use them in apktool you'll also need com.htc.resources.apk.
Just out of curiosity: are you going to use UOT or apktool? Been trying to change status bar clock colour on half-sense and fulmix (see my post in his thread) with apktool but haven't succeeded yet.
What are your plans on theming?
Just pull the zips & open using winrar? Thts what I've been doing for around 4yrs now

It gives you this errors because there is classes.dex file on it. Delete it and than decompile.
Dex files are most of them added by phone's company; for us HTC.

Open with WinRAR or 7-Zip delete classes.dex and than decompile with apktool.
Note: you do not have to extract apk to delete classes.dex file.

Make a SystemUI.apk without classes.dex and put that in you ROM and release to all users to test. If it works, I will resign from making ROMs.

Use latest apktool, bad magic value errors fixed in new version.

BTW... if it just some icons png that you need to change, just replace the pngs, decompile/recompile is not needed.

SystemUI must have classes.dex; there is where all the instructions (the smali files) come from for the apk to work. Like what to run for the EQS and many more.
As mentioned on the link given above
Code:
b) If you are using apkmanager, you can just export classes.dex, then delete classes inside the apk. Then decompile, edit, compile and add classes.dex back when ready.

You can use ninjamorph for changing status bar background image
But it will only work if the status_bar.xml has a @drawable value for status bar background
If it doesn't and has a hexadecimal value it will not work as it's not pointing to a picture that can be changed
You will need to decompile the SystemUI.apk and change the value to @drawable/name of image and then place the image in the drawable-ldpi folder
You can change any other status bar image but it's a slow way of doing it as you can only change one image at a time (you can change as many as you like before you confirm change & apply I mean you cant multi select)
It's easier to unzip the apk & replace files
At op - to avoid confusion of warze instead of posting link to Dropbox post the link to download from the playstore - will also mean people will be downloading latest version
This is playstore link

You need a pc with the following installed
Android drivers
Java development
Apk tools
You can then decompile systemui.apk & edit xml files in notepad
Unfortunately there is no way of editing xml files on phone
(there are apps to edit xml files on phone but they don't work with android compressed xml files within apk)

Depends what you tried to change
For example of if you tried to change the status bar background image and there's not an entry in status_bar.xml for a @drawable png image it would be impossible to change using ninjamorph as there is no pointer to an image in systemui.apk
And of course you have to finish the project and apply changes without zip aligning
It does work if used correctly and for the right use
You need a pc with the following installed
Android drivers
Java development
Apk tools

is this a debate thread?
ninjamorph is just a simple and user friendly tool
there is also a script that manages to change png files using terminal emulator
i use both.
i dont like extract and rezip for some reasons
Please stop all of this.... Its just a app..
So if any one want and they don't know about it then they can get...
So please stop arguing about which bad or good app... As all apps are made by some efforts of developer, so we should respect that effort instead of argueing about which is best !
op you were not the first here. it is already introduced to us. with tutorial on how to use the ninjamorph and the dos and dont. with screenshot and examples of finished products too. try to search the forum before posting

hi, can anyone replace icons from archive to apk in archive ? http://www64.zippyshare.com/v/52683022/file.html because when I'm doing it and changing this app in system/app icons are stretched, I changed icons via WinRar because when I'm trying to de/recompile this app via apk tool and other similar applications I have errors and can't do it properly
regards
Yes... But I need the original .pngs (those are from a decompiled .apk) - you can obtain them easy just unzip that .apk using "7 zip". And the framework-res.apk from the same folder (framework) as SemcGenericUxpRes.apk you are trying to modify (because I need to install it in my "APK Multi-Tool", otherwise I can't recompile the .apk)
so here is my framework and original icons http://www16.zippyshare.com/v/11770168/file.html
XperienceD said:
Quick Tip: If all you want to do is edit or replace normal images, things like your Status Bar icons or Menu icons like those used in the main screen of Settings then decompiling IS NOT necessary, simply open the apk in a zip program then just drag and drop any replacement images in to the correct folder, for images like your actual Status Bar which may have a .9 at the end then decompiling IS required.
Note: It's important to use STORE as the compression method when replacing images in the apk.
Also Note: .9 pngs need to be edited ONLY when in the decompiled folder, if you just take a .9 png and edit it then you won't be able to see the borders that the system needs to determine how that image should be displayed. I have included links at the end of this post to help with .9 editing along with links to other various theming resources that I've come across and bookmarked.

You can't, it's not for that device, at most you could take some apps and "try" to get them working. But there may be dependencies that the apps need that your device may not have.

have you ever tryed to compare smali files that are into classes.dex in an apk if are the same as in its odex file?
if same you can freely remove odex.....
Your solution maybe can work for some apks but is not recommended(absolutely for system apps), especially when you try to port apk and features..... so stop saying wrong suggestions, otherwise we will have dozen of users blaming and crying for apk FC.
And a lot of developers being seen idiots cause they have written deodex scripts???

If these packages were really deodexed then it's really bad! ART compatible ROMs don't require deodex at all. Just delete odex files. APK/JAR have dex inside.
But after deodexing many class references are tampered because of deodexer technics.

Oh, common.. Where is lib, etc, vendor folders? Such a wasted download...
System APKs require libraries and don't include them inside package. So, this "dump" is mostly useless...
