Hello,
I am wondering if the information on the phone info menu on my android phone is safe to share to people such as the;
Model Number
Android Version
Baseband Version
Kernel Version
Build Number
i know some of them are obvious that you can share them but i am wondering as i want to find out if my phone has been reverted back to how it was when i first bought it so i can get it fixed.
Thanks.
Hello,
I am wondering what files are left behind on my interal memory after reverting back to stock also when i reverted back to stock 2.2 does that wipe off Clockworkmod v4?
Finally- when i go to settings- phone info and scroll down- are my details what they should be for stock?
Model number: GT-I5500
Android version: 2.2
Baseband version: I5500XWJP3
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf, [email protected] #1
Build number: FROYO.XWJPJ
My phone comes up in KIES and says this is the latest version, like how it used to before i flashed.
Also is my phone okay to go for repairs as i think i have an extended warranty from my last repair.

Hi everyone i was reading this guide over here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9375927
and they mentioned how to upgrade my vibrant 2.1 (JFD and JI6) to Froyo 2.2 (KA6). The problem that i have is that i bought the cellphone in panama (latin america) and no where in the information "about the phone" says something of JFD or JI6. I wanted to ask if i could use the same guide to upgrade my phone to Froyo 2.2 (KA6) STOCK or i needed to use a different guide?
Information that shows in "About the Phone":
Model Number
GT-I9000T
Firmware Version
2.1-update1
Baseband Version
I9000TUBJG7
Kernel Version
2.6.29
[email protected] #2
Build number
ECLAIR.UBJG5
Sorry if im asking a stupid question but im really scared about how to upgrade my phone to Froyo 2.2 without bricking it.
Direct links for guide would help me a lot because im really a noob in this topic.
PD: Thxs a lot for the answers. A moderator PLZ DELETE this topic and sorry for the confusion.
Im pretty sure you are in the wrong forum. Try the I9000 forum. This is the place for T959 version. You will run into problems flashing things around here.

First you should have these files to proceed.
Clockwork recovery : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/59531727/Clockwork Recovery/Update.zip
any ROM you would like to flash : there are two famous froyo ROMs as i know Moped Ryder's ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674519) and Fishman's ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441976)
first download the update.zip and place it on the root in internalSD
Download 2.2 ROM and place that inside the internal SD
Power off the device
Since u r in froyo bootloaders use VOL UP+VOL DOWN+POWER key combo to enter into recovery mode.. <U can make a nandroid back up before flashing b/c its better be safe than sorry >its blue color at the moment
after going to recovery mode select Tab down to Reinstall Packages and click it. Let it run. If it gets back to the Blue Recovery, you might have to do it again. This will install the CWR that you put on your internal SD. The recovery will go from Blue (stock) to Green (CWR)
Now Wipe Data/ Factory Reset, Wipe Cache and go to advanced and Wipe Dalvik-Cache
then, come back and select Install from SD card and choose the ROM file u have inside SD
after choosing the ROM it will be flashed and device will be rebooted
voila

Hi,
I have the Samsung Galaxy Europa (GT-I5500) and I'm trying to update my phone to 2.2 (Froyo) through Kies and It says that this version of the device cannot be updated.
Current firmware version:
PDA:JJ6 / PHONE:JG3 / CSC:JJ2 (XEU)
On about phone:
2.1-update1
Baseband Version:
I5500XWJG3
Kernel Version:
2.6.29-perf
[email protected]#1
Build Number:
ERE27.XWJJ6
None of this flashing lark though as I haven't a clue how to do it and I would need very very specific step by step instructions etc and I really want the Legitimate 2.2 firmware.
Please help as I really want to update my phone to 2.2.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Doesn't matter, my father used Odin to update my phone to 2.2.
No one is going to help you here, I was in a similar situation, you have to download the firmware 2.2(Froyo) that belongs to your Product code and flash it with Odin to get rid of that Kies error. Just look in the stickies.
Regards
odin is the best way just f**k of the kies it just gave me the same error but i used odin for updating
ya same here just let kies jump. use odin

flashing is simple, type into youtube 'i5500 2.2 tutorial' and have a look at that video, shows a step by step way to flash, and has all the files you need.

I'm a noobie so be ez on me. I purchased a used 10.1 SGH-T859 and went to update to ICS and saw that I have a weird baseband and Build number: Baseband version: T859UVKJ2 Build number: HTJ85B.VKJ2_demo T859UVKJ2_demo The one it should have come with is T859UVKJ3. Kies won't upgrade me to ICS and I'm wanting to root it but not sure how to do it, because I can't find anybody with this version. Was this a show room tablet with a demo version installed? I really have tried to research this before coming here to bother people.
