Okay, WTF is going on here...
Clearly, the Photon should be the device to pioneer it especially since it's highlighted in the damn ZumoCast page. Instead, the Droid 3 and Bionic are the ones who get first crack at it.
See here: Motorola - ZumoCast
Now I don't really care for the app itself, but damn, show the Photon some love Motorola...

Where did you see that at? According to the link you provided, ZumoCast gets installed on the phone & PC- there's nothing here which makes it Droid 3/Bionic specific.
My point is, in the site, the Photon is featured. Not the Droid 3 or the Bionic, and yet when it launched, it wasn't highlighted as a selling-point like it was in the Bionic. It didn't even come pre-loaded like it was in the Droid 3.
Droid 3 focus: ZumoCast Download Site
Bionic focus: Bionic Tech Specs
In fact, there's little to no marketing for the Photon unlike the Droid phones, which is why not a lot of people are running out to buy it...

Thank you for clarifying.
As far as little to no marketing of the Photon, it almost seems that it's the phone they don't want you to buy. I don't understand this. If other carriers can promote their badass "Droids", why not Sprint with the Photon? I'm inclined to think Sprint was just determined not to allow a different model overshadow the EVO line.
I like it. Works great.

Every sprint store I went to the guys there recommended the photon over the 3vo despite all the advertising.

Exactly! Not to mention that this is also the only Motorola "flagship" without "flagship" accessories. The Atrix and the Bionic had a ****load when they were released, but the Photon got none of the goodies...
Sad really...

I installed motoprint and it seemed to work but I had to manualy add my printer. When I did it told me it was not compatible and to use motohost. I found that online at motorla and installed that to my pc. Its supposed to let your phone connect to the host server on your pc and print that way. I than went to advanced search hit motohost search but it never connected to my pc to print. I will keep messing with it to see if I can get it to work.

I'm sorry that this Thread is effecting your personal life, I just to get some info from ppl here how might have an answer... That's why i asked the question...
You can wait for ICS, then Jelly Bean, then quad cores, then ...
Something is always right around the corner.

Sorry bro, but I find it hard to believe that there is a "super phone" coming this fall that this one guy at the store knows about but the rumors aren't all over the internet...
I realize you are just saying what you heard, but I wouldn't trust too much to one person's opinion.
p.s. even if such super phone comes, featuring let's say "a quad core processor" i would still stick with the Atrix for a year or two, because:
1. there's no Android OS or software that requires that much resources right now, Tegra 2 maxes out everything currently available in terms of software
2. after the phone comes out, it will be at least a couple of months before it has CM7, custom roms and all the goodies. the Atrix has that right now.
Cheerz.

I would agree with your statement, i love my atrix! i can't wait for ICS to come out for us, also for CM7 to get out of beta. its jus this isn't some guy who works with me, this is my DOS, who talks to my Vice Pres who gets all the info about phone, he told me about the atrix when it was Prototype, after he made that statement few months later, boom all over engadget/ gizmodo. so i'm not saying he is right, just wondering if anyone know about this. I know how this hole info over pulse/ engadget rumors, i'm the goto guy for android for my market, but they wont share info with me, which is lame!!!! but you never know it might something they are keeping under raps

Sent from my DROID X2 using xda premium
I watched the event. Now hoping that the X2 is on the list to get the update.
Sent from my DROID X2 using XDA App
I am going to say that the X2 wont get it, at least not anytime soon until Moto breaks it down and skins it(so maybe next summer). The fact that there is so much built into the phone to function without buttons means that Moto has to build in and map their functionality. And, since supposedly the Xoom is the first to get it on tablet, you would think it would go to the Razr, then Bionic/Atrix 2/Photon 4g, THEN the lower end devices. Needless to say, I don't think you should get your hopes up.
I watched it though. I was VERY impressed with some of the things I saw! The lock screen portion with the video was really cool! However, I don't think I would want my phone to do that everytime, seems too tedious still. Maybe after the phone has been passive for 20 minutes or something like that.

My thoughts are, with the patent wars, Google is trying to cover their ass right now. Until the proposed deal is approved, they are wanting to make sure that nothing slips thru the cracks that could be harmful to their cause in the hands of the opposition. Not to mention, they probably have some new devices in testing along with new hardware components that would be in Google's best interest not to have leaked until they are certified by the FCC. I am going to have to give Google the benefit of the doubt, and say until the deal is approved, they are doing what they can to cover their asses.
As far as VZW being to blame for Moto, I think it has to do with the fact that Moto is an American company, and they can be pressured by big Red. Whereas HTC and Samsung typically have a broader market share outside of the US. Especially with Sammy being a monstrosity of a Korean company in all terms. I lived in Korea for 2 years(Army), LG and Sammy run their world over their! LG is even the biggest ISP! They are leaps and bounds beyond what we have in the US over there though. Thanks to the FCC and FTC! My computer monitors are 2 Innopix 24" OLED 1920x1200 and I bought them there almost 4 years ago for $150/ea! I built my entire computer setup there Feb 2008, I still score a 6.8 on Windows experience index. Cost me less than $1,500 for what would have cost $4,000 easily to buy off of Best Buys shelf... Not to mention Apple, ugh.

The simple fact that they locked the Razr before it is even released, lends me to believe your hopes will be crushed. Sorry man, no reason to lock a phone during the same period you stated you would unlock them.
Now, if 4.0 is still a "Google Experience" as other phones update to it, without their blur's and sense's like honeycomb was for tablets, MAYBE.

I understand the locked bootloaders because VZW probably spends thousands of dollars replacing phones for people who don't know what they are doing, just trying to impress friends. But still, we payed for it, its ours, we should be able to break it if we want
And I think we will get ICS, it just might take longer than expected.

This is not real. The banned devices are Xoom, Atrix, Defy and XT720. And that's it. Source? google news. I am lazy to post source, sorry. Droid Forums just used an article which already was wrong. So old devices are banned.
Well, this outcome was "foreseeable", so Motorola changed the method mentioned in the verdict beforehand and put a sticker on the razr's packaging which says "AKTUALISIERT" (meaning: new version)....
