Every forum has an off topic and q&a thread. So why not. Its better than users spamming the general section. Look at it. 2547 topics and counting. More than any general section in xda.

damn right. and thats very annoying. the number of posts does not say anything about ones qualification on certain subjects. it is just a dumb idea to prevent a new or so called junior member of this forum from posting in dev. threads. not every new member is a noob. when i am searching for info on a rom i just flashed and cannot post a question in the thread i downloaded the rom from it is just ridiculous

yeah i agree whit you but how else they are gonna prevent that from happening(a new or so called junior member of this forum from posting in dev whitout knowing anything about what he/she asks and possibly offend someone or get offended by someone in the process)

Indeed, I looked into the rules and there are no statements that were there some years ago (I think I'm right because sych thread had been deleted).
Anyway I think this is only clutters the forum.
Of course it is not making my prevoius posts rights. I am sorry and realize that i made a mistake.

nono thats ok i was just making sure that you were getting it right, cross forum posting isnt allowed. or wasnt so thats fair enough but tbh when i was mod i sometimes allwoed it if i was moderating a current device forum.
