HTC loyalists, does your self-esteem go down when a product of HTC fails to deliver? Or do you ignore the shortcomings and keep on truckin'? This article makes a lot of sense.

I'll go with whoever makes the best phone. However, I will take into account their track record, too. For example, many people hail that the SGSII is the best phone ever and it'll suck your **** if you ask it. But looking at how horribly they support phones and how late their updates have been in the past, I'll avoid it like the plague.
Just an example.

My self esteem stays fine, I just get pissed...pissed and disappointed. HTC has lost my faith with the EVO 3D... No reason to feel personally butthurt by a manufacturers shortcomings.

Nope, I'm not my phone. I like to flex the 30-day exchange policy if I'm an early-adopter. Otherwise I research thoroughly before putting down my money for my HTC. I also make use of my insurance.
I'm a great buyer & I flex that fact.
I like HTC phones over any other handset maker. HTC wins me over & somehow HTC disappoints me in little ways usually with every phone. XDA makes up for it in strides.
XDA is the driving factor in my purchase of the phone & I swear by the work that is done here. I upgrade my phone on the strength of the development (both HTC & XDA) for the phone & it's flagship status, the latter just for the sake of continued & speedy support.
If I had ever owned the Touch Pro or Touch Pro 2, I think I wouldn't be so pro-HTC today.

Agreed, but there are a lot of people who take it personally, especially when someone craps on their brand. I think it's amusing that people take such offense over that.

Well people on this board don't own a brand in the first place, so someone saying ish about a brand they bought and getting upset over it is pretty childish and immature. But regardless noone is making money from buying or promoting a certain brand, so its all irrevelent what anyone has to say about it. If you like a phone that noone else likes, who cares. At the end of the day only one person is using the phone, and if it suits your needs, the opinions of others have about as much value as a bowl of poop.

Brand in general, whether it be HTC, Evo 3D, Android, Iphone, Sprint, Verizon, Google, etc.
While it's true that it's childish and immature, it can be seen all over the place. Take iPhone/Apple fanbois and ANY other device/brand, and you can see the flamewars everywhere. We even get them here. I also agree with you that nobody else's opinion really matters when it comes to what an individual prefers, but yet again, you can see it all over the boards: "what do you think of this?", "need your opinion on this", "which device should I choose?", etc. It's clear that a lot of people do put some value into what others say about certain things, which makes it relevant even though they dont make money off of it.

It's called "confirmation bias"....from the wiki:
Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is a tendency for people to favor information that confirms their preconceptions or hypotheses regardless of whether the information is true.
...and if you happen to go against what they desire to hear these people will flip out.
What I flip out about is people failing to be as objective as possible when dealing with information....especially something like a piece of technology. We're not talking favorite songs or favorite teams here--there is zero quantitative reason to prefer one over the other...It's personal and usually emotional...and that's fine......but when there is something with a measurable or noticeable difference and people will deny it because of some inane brand loyalty or some other such idiocy I rage.... You love that band or that team for purely emotional reasons....that's fine. But when you buy a device with obtaining the best performance or measurable quality in mind....and you don't get exactly what was advertise/you thought you would get and you fail to notice this because you love a brand name or you just want confirmation that you made the 'right purchase', even in the face of contrary evidence? That's idiocy. I can't stand that. Sure, I'll live with this phone...it's just a phone and it, for the most part, does everything I need it to do. However, as a matter of measurable and repeatable and/or noticeable fact: The speaker volume is too low and even if you make it loud it sounds like crap, the reception sucks for 2g/3g...some say 4G, but that's tough to tell cuz all sprint 4g signals suck....the UI is nowhere near as smooth as an NS4G....the battery cover thing sucks....there's something way screwy about the power/off power/on power button going on....battery life sucks more than it should (I'm sure this is signal related).
I'm sure there are more, but these are facts...repeatable and measurable and noticeable....yet there are some people who will become enraged at the mere mention....Sorry...I love the phone, but, damn d00d, that **** is real....and that's not even counting all of the faith I lost in HTC over the handling of the bootloader fiasco...which may very well change from the first phone they release unlocked, time will tell....
I thought it was a no brainer to buy another HTC EVO branded phone, the last one was nearly perfect in every way (except stock battery life, but otherwise my E4G experience was flawless). Well, I was wrong. I think it all boils down to that....the most difficult phrase for a person to say (in any language) seems to be "I was wrong"....I'm fine with being wrong, I prefer not to be, but, once you admit it you learn a lesson and become better for it. Defending a wrong/uninformed/misinformed/ignorant decision and/or stance is sheer idiocy.
Same $#!t happens in rom/kernel threads. Someone will post w/o anyone asking..."this rom/kernel lacks..blah blah" "....flashed such & such now i'm happy"
Nobody asked...!?
Then of course the multitude of replies Needlessly defending the rom/kernel.
on another similar point....
Dev's should not get bashed period, Now I just came from a 4g kernel forum and there was a few recent posts asking the dev if he/she planned to add SBC, the dev had been active at that time answering other questions and just ignored the questions -(100% fine imo, as the SBC question had been asked and answered multiple times) ...Yet a few people took it upon themselves to to flame and WARN that the dev might leave XDA if the question keeps getting asked ?!?!!! these self-appointed moderators suffer even deeper symptoms than the article mentions.

1.) Very concerned about call quality and battery life. I remember when the OG evo came out, the battery life was pretty bad. It wasn't until I purchased a higher capacity battery on ebay, and rooted the phone that I was happy. I have a feeling the e3d is going to have the same initial problem, even though they upped the battery. If you throw in bad call quality, which has been fairly consistent among the reviews, those are two big strikes against the phone IMO.
2.) I know the 3d feature is just an "added bonus", but in my book it's just a gimmick. I don't see myself using it all that much, and most reviews say using the 3D really kills the battery. Plus I think it takes away from the "sleekness" of the phone. I heard someone say it looks like Johnny #5 from Short Circuit on the back of the phone, and I have to agree. Not visually appealing to me at all. Plus, I'll be constantly worried about scratching them as well, since they seem to protrude out much further than any camera I have seen. The 2D camera quality seems to be the same as my OG evo anyway. I wish they would have just put a higher quality 2D camera on the phone.
3.) I'm not that big a fan of sense. I've been running cyanogen for quite some time now, and forgot how much better it is than sense. I picked up my gf's evo the other day, which is still stock, and it was painful to use compared to CM7.
4.) I think the OG evo is still a damn good phone. Why would I want to use my upgrade and get stuck into another two years if I'm not 100% sure I want this phone? I know sprint has the 30 day return policy, but why go through that hassle initially? I think it's wiser just to wait and see how things play out for the first month. I'm not sure if the bootloader is unencrypted at this point? Sure, HTC said they will unlock it, but when?? 1,3,6 months from now?
I'm still very happy with CM7 on my evo at this point. The development on this phone has been amazing. I have android 2.3.4 with the honeybread theme. It looks slick, just as good as my transformer tab, and battery life is exceptional. I get 16 hours with moderate to heavy usage.
5.) If this was sprint's only powerhouse phone coming out soon, sure it would probably more of a "no-brainer" on getting the e3d...but with the Photon and most likely the SGS2 coming soon, I think I'll wait and compare the three phones before I make any decisions. In the meantime, I'll still be happy running my OG evo w/CM7.
I think the bottom line is I'm not going to jump on board just because this phone is the "new" thing. I'll practice some restraint, keep checking out XDA for the first couple weeks and see how things play out. I have a feeling there won't be a shortage for the e3d like there was for the OG evo.
As many people have said its pretty much your personal preference.
As for me I have already preordered it on wirefly, can not wait for some reason I don't see my phones battery being really all that bad as reviewers say.
I will sign another two year contract because that plan I am on is cheap! and love sprint service!

Just seems strange that you've chosen to go onto a phones forum and say why you're not going to buy it.
Why choose this phone to do that about?
Did you do the same for every other phone approaching launch date?

I don't understand why that is so strange? A forum is for giving opinions...right? I'm giving my opinion on why I'm holding off on purchasing this phone on launch day. Did I say I will never get the phone? No. It seems with certain people, anytime you criticize this phone, people want to brush you aside for some kind of idiot. I'm just not sold on this phone yet, and I'll even go out on a limb and say it probably won't be nearly as successful as the OG evo. Just my opinion though!!

Actually this is a forum for developing stuff, hence the name xda-developers.
If that's the case, then why have an Evo 3D GENERAL section, and an EVO 3D Android Development section? If it's all about development, why not just have the EVO 3D Android Development, and that's it? I've seen maybe 1-2 threads in the GENERAL section that actually deal with "development".

Of course it wont be as successful as OG EVO. It's going to be a while, before sprint has another phone like that! When they finally drop a LTE phone, with the same top of the line range in phones they currently are putting out. That 1st one to hit will be there best shot, whatever the phones may be at that point. Untill then we are getting HTC, Samsung, and not Moto all trying to draw from the ground breaking EVO.
Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one!!!

So, with the chance of getting flamed or... flaming myself depending on the reaction to this. SprintFeed apparently got word that the Galaxy S II will be hitting Sprint first, on September 9th, ahead of all other carriers.

There is the link.
Just thought any defectors would like the heads up. I personally am sticking with my 3Devo.
From the screenshots it looks to be the same phone. No concrete answer on if it's packing a Snapdragon which had been rumored or if it's sticking with Exynos. *Shrug* guess we shall find out.
Awesome, can't wait. Jk Samsung sucks.

Damn Sprint is on a roll. Hopefully they get the Nexus Prime when it comes out. That's the only phone I'm interested in. The GS2 should of came out earlier. Samsung waited to long in my opinion, But nevertheless Sprint has a good line up this year.

Yeah, the only reason I can see why they waited was because of the pressure from Apple and it's "your phone looks like mah phone!" 6-year old meltdown of a lawsuit that has been going on. I dunno.

I was going to go the SGS2 route but it's just too little too late. The E3D in modded form can outpace a stock SGS2 easily...and the nPrime is right around the corner.
I used to love HTC and I've really grown to like the E3D General forum, y'all is cool peoples (most of the time)...but aside from the unlock fiasco I can't stand the ****ty radio and the strange behavior when powering on/off really makes me feel like one day it won't turn back on again....especially when I've seen it happen right in front of me.

Well, I know a lot of people aren't happy with the Evo 3D, I decided to drop this nugget and see how it went. Like I said, I'm happy with my evo. My Radios don't suck too bad, only thing I have issue with is a Black SOD every 9hrs when using a custom kernel... which I can workaround with a stock kernel.
You're post is a little confusing. so... you're waiting for the nPrime?. that's how it sounded. That's looking to be an October release, it's being made by Samsung too. Which I find odd, I would think Motorola would be involved. I know it was just recently announced that Google was going to buy them, but...I assumed it was in the making to be some big lead up. oh well, probably next year.
I'd think I'd like it more if it didn't look like the iPhone had a retarded son.

Thank god I don't get the Black SOD...
Yeah, I'm waiting for the nPrime. It's being made by Samsung which, while at first really put me off but I did sport an NS4G for a few weeks last month. Aside from feeling cheap and too light--which most people wouldn't see as a down side--it was actually a fantastic phone. Great battery life, phenomenal camera and an unmatched Android experience. It did have the traditionally weak Samsung radio, but, it seems that you can't escape that anymore.
...and so far as Motorola is concerned Google has assured it's partners that the bidding process for the Nexus line would in fact remain the same. Google is saying all but "listen, we bought MMi for the patents. The Set-top-box and mobile manufacturing is just a plus, that we don't intend to use." Of course time will tell how true that is. For the time being I believe them.
However a Motorola built Nexus would probably be fantastic as long as they ditch that ****ty Pentile screen technology. I bet they would have class leading radios and battery life too.

Yea MOTO isn't far from being a great phone manufacturer..they do have pretty good build quality and their radios are bar none..they have been in that game for a while..ditch all MOTO blur or map and the pentile..add some Google magic and we could have a winner in a few months.

Agreed. Their designs are a bit stodgy looking, but their hardware (aside from those horrible screens and penchant for keyboards) is rock solid. They nearly invented cellular mobile phone technology. They have been doing mobile communications for as long as there has been a commercial mobile communications market. Their radios are fantastic. Build quality is always awesome. How many OG Droids do you still see around? Tons...and I have seen a lot that are beaten to death physically but still kicking ass, 2nd hand, 3rd hand...that says quite a bit.
Without knowing anything about the contents of their patent portfolio I am confident that it contains thousands of very relevant patents. I can't wait to see Google's next move.
I came from the Epic 4G to the Evo 3D. The main thing about Samsung was there slowwwwww release of updates. The Epic 4G rolled out with Eclair, took a while to get Froyo and is still awaiting Gingerbread. This really seem slow down ROM and kernel development. HTC seems pretty spot on with their OS updates.
I am waiting to see if Samsung support for their phones has improved. If it has, maybe I would consider going back. Until then, my Evo 3D is the shizzle.

I think it is because everyone is scared of its size. I have one and love it. Stopped traveling with my tablet cause I got this. I admit it is big but not so big as to not be able to fit in my pocket. Everyone says "Oh you got that huge Android Phone." and then ask if they can see it. Once it is in their hands they say that it feels good in their hand and then they like it. It seems that the talk on the blogs and reviews about it being too big has keep a lot of people from even looking at it even though my contacts at ATT say it is flying out the stores.

Att and Samsung are advertising pretty hard for it. I think once people realize how portable it really is, they will consider it. I still get a few jeers from my friends, followed by them admitting it is a pretty sweet device.

I wonder what the percentages of the below are, when discussing iPhone users:
1. Aware that AT&T allows them to upgrade at 18 months
2. Aware that having an iPhone no longer makes you "cool"
3. Are of the age where they can buy the phone on their own without parental involvement
4. Are aware of what they are lacking with the iPhone
5. Care that their iOS device is at best outdated
Regarding number 3 - I knew the iPhone lost its caché when I was at the movies and saw an eleven-year-old (!) with one. At that time I'd already jumped to Android but my wife still had her iPhone 3G and wanted an iPhone 4. I gave her a good ribbing about wanting a phone that even kids have nowadays.
I remember her needing a new phone and pay through the nose for the original RAZR., so the idea was not lost on her - I think she'll go android on our next upgrade date - she's already entertaining it.
Her trepidation stems from her unfamiliarity with the Android interface - I assure her that she can make it whatever she wants, and even recently showed her a video of Espier launcher; I think that sealed the deal, so come August she might have a better (but not bigger!) phone than I have.
I think cause its still new and its a bit over priced.
Definitely because it's just a new device. The Streak was the first mainstream "phablet", but due to a lack of advertising and outdated software, it never took off for anybody that wasn't familiar with the dev work for it. I think the trend set by this phone combined with good software, great specs, and heavy advertisement by Samsung will make the Note line of phones very popular in the future.
The Note already is selling well, as the ATT store I bought mine from only had one white and no blue ones left when I bought mine...lucky me I wanted white. And I live in Northern Minnesota, which you could say is less tech savvy than a lot of places in the US. Goes to show Samsung has a potential gold mine on their hands if they push this market. Right now, you could say it's a niche device, but I think it's going to turn into a mainstream class of devices.
Everybody who has asked me about my phone is absolutely stunned by it. First, they laugh at its size and ask what the hell it is. Then I tell them it's the Galaxy Note, and explain some things about it, highlighting the 720p screen and SPen. They are impressed by that, but then ask, how the hell do you fit it in your pocket or carry it?! If I know them, I invite them to put it in their pocket and feel the size. They are wowed by how big they screen is, yet how portable and pocketable it really is. By the time I am a done showing them everything, their opinion is completely changed, and they admit it's an awesome device. The only people who say they wouldn't want it themselves are Apple loyalists, who argue that their integration and iCloud make it so they could never use anything but an iPhone. I tell those people that they're being ignorant, because you can do basically ask if that just as well, if not better with Android and Google apps. Even still, they admit if they weren't an iPhone/MacBook user, they would like the Note. I have not seem a single person who dislikes this phone so far.
Just show off your device every chance you get, and eventually people will realize how amazing devices like this really are, and realize their full potential.

You need to find guys that think the galaxy s 2 was too small. And the note....just too big. Not comfy to talk on.
All my friends want and have taken a picture with them holding my phone to their head. All of them are doctors too lol. Mix of iPhone and Droid users though.

I have seen one lady with it and yesterday when exchanging mine. One of the best buy employees had a white one. He said he loved the phone.

The size of this phone freaks people out at first. I remember after getting this phone and taking it with me to work, every student I had was drawn to it like they didn't know what to think. It was comical to watch them all take turns seeing if it would fit in their pocket.
Despite the initial skepticism that they would like a phone this size, a vast majority of the students after messing with it for a second really liked it.
Same thing happened at the bi-monthly staff meeting. It was even funnier than the students...watching a bunch of adults playing pass the phone down the line game. Several of the teachers have either now went out and got this phone or are going to use it as their next upgrade.
I will say that I kinda enjoy having a phone that's not super common

I have seen two others both in the airports while traveling. Most people who notice my phone have seen the ads in one form or another. They know you can write on it!
EDIT: I send this original message while at my son's karate practice. I was sitting there and this very attractive Asian lady comes up and asks me if that I the Galaxy Note. I later found out she is Korean and loves Samsung and Android. She has a Vibrant on T mobile and say she heard they just hacked the GNote for T mobile...I was blown away at this girls knowledge of phones etc. Of course I let her play with my phone!
I then told her she should get a pink GNote and she googles it and you would have thought I was her hero...it was pretty wild how excited she got about a pink GNote although I do not believe it is out yet.
Pretty cool story regarding a simple ole phone!

I've only seen one other person, I was in line at a hibachi grill and while waiting for food the guy beside me pulled out his note, was using the flip-open battery cover case that AT&T has. We chatted for a minute or so while waiting for food, he came from the Pre and was disappointed how WebOS turned out, and said it took him a few days to get used to the size, he's still learning Android, asked me about a few things like do things "crash" all the time, etc, told him I have yet to see a single crash out of mine.
Cool thing was, when he first pulled it out I didn't say anything because he was getting into his calendar and looking up some events, added an event between them to someone and sent off the invite. He was getting along pretty good, and didn't want to disturb him while he was doing work.
Besides myself, I know of 3 other guys where I work with one plus I've ran into a couple other people with one at restaurants. The guy at the local AT&T told me they sold out the first day, so there should be several of them around here.
I have yet to see one in the wild. But any pol look at mine just like you guys shared. I love the attention from the girls looking at it.

too many sheeple that think that because everyone else has one, they have to have one to "stay cool".
I've always considered myself an INDIVIDUAL. I don't buy things based on what everyone else does. Almost to a fault, I'll go the opposite direction of "trendy" things. Hell, I still (when I can find them) wear the same style Nike White with red "swoosh" leather Cortez shoes (the ones like from back to the future). I've worn them since 1976....why...BECAUSE THEY ARE D*MN COMFORTABLE. Same thing with how I dress, my opinions etc. If you don't like it, tough, it's how I am. I got a Dell streak in Oct 2010 because I thought a 5" screen would be a benefit to me, and I was right, too bad Dell & at&t didn't market it. When I heard Sammy would have one, couldn't wait to get it. And I'm right, it's PERFECT for me. The sheeple can squint at their TINY screens all they want and look cool, at least my eyes don't have to squint.

Gotta love reviews and the fact that they really are just opinions of the person reviewing it. It's an interesting read nonetheless. Couple of things I take out of it;
1. Just like everyone else including most of us, we all liked the look of the One X and he really hates that Sprint and HTC deviated from that. Especially the top plastic cover. Personally spends too much time complaining about the design decisions.
2. He also really likes stock Android and hates Sense. Again shares some of the common complaints such as the recent apps menu being different than stock and the software menu button. Also interestingly complains about bloatware but realistically there is only one app that should be considered bloatware and thats Sprint Zone. Every other app he mentions comes stock on every other HTC phone. And lets face it every carrier uses their own visual voicemail and hotspot apps, the latter being to have control over tethering. Also call me crazy but he complains about Sense not being landscape but I have landscape Sense running a 4.0 rom and I'm pretty sure that was one of the added features to 4.0.
Either way everything is subjective and it makes for an interesting read as long as you objectively respect he is entitled to his opinion and it is in fact that his opinion. For me it flirts close to the line of knitpicking each and everything that goes against what the reviewer prefers and is accustomed to.

Thanks man added the link to the op. Which would spark a very noob question. What does OP stand for?
Most the reviews I seen thought sense was either ok or just terrible. Phil from androidcentral seem to be one of the few that actually liked it over stock android. Me personally I haven't use sense 4 yet but I'm impatiently waiting.
I'll try to keep the OP is up to date as I can which shouldn't be hard considering I'm graduating High School Friday. So I have nothing but time until August.

OP stands for Original Post(er).
Yeah most reviewers dislike Sense compared to Stock however even the most anti Sense reviewers have stated that Sense 4 is a lot better than previous iterations and end up enjoying it even if they aren't crazy about it. I know we all have our personal preferences but facts are the only true Stock phone is a Nexus phone. Every manufacturer puts a skin on their phone. It's just something people will need to accept. So depending on which skin you like the most you should choose your phone accordingly. If you like stock buy a Nexus. It's easy for these reviewers to complain though cause they get these phones handed to them rather than going out and buying them in most cases.

Well All I can say from my memory about that review is that who the F is going to be watching the back cover, Most people don't go around showing their phones from the back. His biggest gripe about the back is moot since the phone will probably be in a case, or mainly viewed from the "FRONT". ROFL what a joke review.

A review that actually doesn't hold the EVO 4G LTE at fault for the shortcomings of the Sprint network.
The HTC Evo 4G LTE is undoubtedly the best-spec'd smartphone currently on offer in the United States. The flagship handset offers all the latest smartphone tech in a neat, well-built package.
There has rarely been an easier smartphone to recommend in the United States. HTC and Sprint have created a package that's incredibly hard to resist, and the purchase of which you are extremely unlikely to regret. We actually feel sorry that HTC didn't choose this design for the internationally available One XL, instead of the AT&T version.

It was a nice detailed review.
That is the biggest knock on the evo in the reviews that it didn't have a 4g network.
You can't fault the HTC for that. Now customs need to stop bullshiting and let it be release.

I'm bothered by the comments under the sound section. Sure I use the phone for data, but i use it just as much for calls (using the ear piece). Will have to wait for some demo phones at stores before truly committing to the purchase.

Thanks bro added to the op
Most reviewers have said the sound was good enough for calls. Nothing spectacular but good nonetheless
I played with a GN at a sprint store the other day. Thought the volume was very loud and clear on a call to 611. Phonescoop's review of that phone also finds the sound quality lacking. I will definitely have to test the thing out before trading in my old evo. I expect the sound quality to be at least as loud/clear (running cm7 with the audio boosted kernel).

Some of the reviewers that bash Sprint seem to be biased against Sprint. The phone should be evaluated not the network that it arrives on. Yes, a note should be made about network performance, but if the phone is a 10 dock .5-1.0 for that issue instead of going off in tangents about it just list it as a con!
IMHO the nay sayer's for Sprint will be jumping ship to come aboard when NV starts to launch on Sprint by months end.
It's amazing how these professional reviewers try so hard to find fault with android phones, yet fall over themselves praising the iPhone.
This is the phone they should have released globally.
Pocketnow and Techradar review is up.

I find this to be an extremely accurate statement.
When I see a review for a phone all I care about is the phone, not the network the phone is on. I'm aware of the networks of each carrier and I am aware of the pros/cons of each.
For what it's worth I spend a majority of the time on Wi-Fi networks and get great network reliability.
I have in my possession two (2) 64gb HTC Ones, and both of them are plagued with various issues. From poor battery life that is not consistent with what's being reported here, to random reboots, to build issues. For a "gapless" device, there sure are an awful lot of gaps all over both of these things. On both devices, there is quite literally a defect on every single piece that makes up the body of the device. HTC designs the best looking devices hands down, but when I look back at every HTC device I have had, they've all had build quality issues. My Hero, Evo 4G, Evo 3D, One X, and now the One- all had blatant build problems. HTC really needs to get their act together. That said, I still love the One, I think it is hands down the best phone ever made (save for my old trusty Panasonic Duramax), it just has too many issues right now. So, I am returning both of the Ones that I have (that I paid full price for, mind you) with hopes that when the black model becomes readily available, those build issues will have been corrected. Some of you here know (*cough*Gunnyman) that I am kinda anal about my phones (went through 5 or 6 One Xs) and I just can't justify spending $700 on a device that isn't perfect. I have way too much money tied up in these phones ($1400 for cell phones, whaaaat) for me to settle on one that is less than perfect. For what its worth, if my first One had good battery life and didn't freeze and reboot on me I probably would have kept it, build issues notwithstanding. The second one I got doesn't reboot, but has terrible gaps and edges so that's a no go for me. I am absolutely dreading going back to my iPhone 5 but it must be done. For now. I am without a doubt going to be trying this again with the black model.
Anyways, that's my rant. Ta-ta. Flame away.
Garrrr. I was hoping you'd start chiming in on different cases for the one similar to your time with the one x. I'm having a hard time deciding lmao.
See you back soon.

If you SERIOUSLY think you are ever going to get any device without any issue you're very very far-off from reality. Every phone has one defect or another, yes even the iPhone 5 has issues. Pretty serious ones too.
Well, in an effort to solidify my decision I went to best buy and played with the black sprint one..... and I like the silver better. Not to mention that I really, really, REALLY can't stand the iPhone and LOVE the One. So call me fickle, but I have now decided on keeping the replacement that I got haha. I now, I'm pathetic. So the good news is I AM sticking with the one. So yeah, this rant was for nought. I do believe that HTC needs to get their crap together though. I'll probably make another warranty claim in a month or so lol. As far as getting a phone with zero defects is concerned- they are out there. I just need to hunt them down. My last One X (out of the 5 I had) was damn near perfect. I love that thing. If they came out with a One X Super+ with all the internals of the One, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I think that is the best designed android phone to date, even besting the One.
@WTFunk- I'll try to start doing case reviews but my new job has me ridiculously busy so it probably won't be the same like it was on the One X. I still have 20+ cases for that thing that I need to get rid of lol. Right now for the One I have the Diztronic TPU case (it's decent but I don't like it as much as the one they made for the One X), the Incipio Dual Pro (holy hell is it massive! That will NEVER be my main case), the Poetic (it's cool and good quality, but not for me), the Poetic Palette Slim (nice quality but feels like half a case) and I have a Poetic Atmosphere on the way. Rest assured, I'll be ordering a TON more
That's good to hear.
I've gone through 3 one x myself due to defects. Still prefer sense and HTC's physical designs to any other brand on the market.
I'm banking on the htc one in black to be newer batches with less defects than the silver but we shall see.
Someone sounds obsessed with phones and OCD with them. I got the one first day it came out, no imperfections on mine. I think your imagining them.

OCD is a real disorder. I hate how much this term gets tossed around. It's no less rude than saying gay or retarded. Just sayin.

Can't compare OCD to being gay or mentally challenged for one. You people with ocd can be married and don't get constantly harassed. And second you don't have a slang demeaning word like "retarded" nice try but OCD will never be on the same level as any of those words.. carry on..

OCD is a mental challenge. My mother has it. It isn't fun.
I don't have OCD myself, so watch the You People thing.
Carry on.
