[Q] Haptic Feedback for Ace - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi there...is there any way to enable haptic feedback for Galaxy Ace...i mean like the one for Galaxy S with an option under Sound...including controls.
Havent seen it any roms either.

I would like to have that.

Don't have the answer but i'm just curious, does it give you haptic feedback every time you touch the screen? (on the S)

I've got the option in 'spare parts' app but it doesn't enable anything..

yep...when you dial...when you select something from the menu...even gives us control of how much the fone vibrates when touched...there is a similar option if using the latest swype beta for keyboard presses...but its rather crude and no control over how much feedback.

Haptic Feeback On Keyboard

Hi guys
Has anyone here managed to get the haptic feedback enabled just for the touch screen keyboard?
I know there is a global setting for screen vibrations under sounds and notifications but this is a bit too much

I think some ROM in the forum might support hepatic feedback. However, I have seen some users complain it is not as accurate and good as one might want. Also, since TG01 processor itself drains a lot of battery, your hepatic feedback will add up a lot to further battery drain. I wouldn't use that unless it was absolutely necessary.
start > settings > sound and notifications > Vibration (choose what type)
great instructions olyloh6696
works nice

disabling haptic vibration on bottom soft keys

Is there any way to disable the haptic feedback on the bottom four soft keys. I hate getting that vibration whenever I use them.
+1 I also dislike the vibration but cannot find a setting to disable it.

did u get any solution please share with me ....
@aaurnab
Check the development forum. There is a thread explaining how to accomplish this.
There's actually 2 threads ATM about this. One disabling it through the framework-res.apk and one through the android.policy.jar file. So far only the first one has worked for me.

it's quite simple guys without getting too tech.
2 places to look:
1. Sound settings - disable Heptic feedback
2. Input settings - disable vibration
Did it for me.

Both these settings are not available in Atrix
Turn off haptic feedback on softkeys
Hi all, had my atrix (rooted) nearly a week now on Orange UK and one of the most annoying things for me was the haptic feedback on the soft keys, i couldn't find a setting in my phone to turn them off, so i scoured this forum looking for ways to do it, and it looked like the only way was to alter the framework which i'm not very comfortable in doing. So i went through the android market and came across this amazing app called VIBRAFIX ( must be rooted ) which allows you to turn the haptic feedback on the soft keys off, but also gives you the option of keeping vibrate on for your calls, sms and alarm clock. Hopefully this will save a me a bit of juice in my battery aswell.

Actually they ARE available in the SETTINGS->SOUND->DISABLE HAPTIC FEEDBACK Menu..... take a few seconds to look with your eyes not your mouth!!!

Download the Spare Parts app from the market. Also has other features on it.

Main menu button: wake and notifications?

As a N1 user what I loved more than many other devices is that it has trackball wake and notifications colors for missed calls and sms (though thanks to Mod), do you think the main button under the screen of the SGS2 can do the same?

Probably not. I think the main home button is like in the SGS. For SGS developers made a mod called BLN which uses the capacitive buttons on the sides of the main home button for notifications.
Who knows, guess we will have to wait and see what the great Devs can accomplish.
I think remaping the home button will be easy for XDA devs but use its light for notifications...will take another couple of hours to implement it
Would be nice to be able to see notifications. Although I am not to concerned, I am coming from a iPhone which doesn't have any methods of notifications aside from sound.

...yes it shouldn't take more than couple of hours from xda-devs to get the light out of black piece of plastic....
The homebutton of SGSII already works the same way as trackballwake on N1, no need for development on that one.

The SGS's solution is probably the way to go. Light up the capacitive buttons with a custom kernel.
But I think I read somewhere that the SGS2 does that out of the box.
Edit: they say something here http://translate.google.com/transla...=http://www.mobiset.ru/articles/text/?id=5408
"And if they glowed in the precursor together with the backlit screen, but now the user can customize their work, there are several options."
It can mean anything, and who knows what google did with the translation. Sorry
They need the back lights to 'fade' in & out or 'pulse'. This gives such a high quality look to a device.

Here is human translation:
And while in the previous model they [buttons] lit up only with the screen backlight, now the user can define how and when the buttons light up from a number of available settings.
