Why doesn't camera work and will d3 one work?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

Its probably going to be fixed in the beta or prebeta3... and no it wintwork its the source code to implement the camera itself... you just have to wait, but I've heard angel camera works well in burst mode

CM7 does not include any motoblur in it. As such, the D3 camera app probably isnt going to work.
CM7 for the Atrix is currently marked as pre-beta. Look up what beta means in the software world to get a better understanding, but when you installed CM7 on your phone, you should have expected issues. Its not ready for every day use.
If you need a working camera app, download fastburst camera from the market or go back to a blur based rom.

Best Camera App

What is best camera app? I am currently using vignette cause i only seek to get blurry pictures with stock app. Vignette has steady shot which takes the pic when you hold the phone still. But takesnway to long. Theres got to be something that doesnt take such crap blurry photos
1887 ~ 1.152 / Streakdroid 1.5.3
Make sure your camera is in 5mp mode...mine will go to vga mode if I've switched it to front camera and then switched back. (this is for the stock camera app)

I believe that the issue is with the camera's delay from when the button is pressed, and the actual picture is taken. I get the same thing. it takes multiple times to get a good picture. Works great on stills, but with people it is subpar.
That is so slack, vignette has the steady shot, and the pictures come out great. I wish dell would change that.... theres potential for a decent camera.

Best?
Did you find any better apps our have you stick with vignette?
I believe their new version no longer works with the flash.

Thanks for that, I've now purchased it from the market.
Now, how do I get the camera button to default to that app?
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA Premium App
I do believe you go to settings>applications>camera and then clear defaults. Make sure its the stock Camera app. After doing so push the Camera button and it should ask you which app to open, check the box below the apparently, and select Camera 360.
I find this app is 10 fold compared to the stock camera app, i still however get blur very easily unless holding the camera very still. Disappointed in the camera performance, even my friends bb curve takes better pictures.

i have it working
I find with streakdroid 1.9.0 oc to 1.19, and camera 360 my pictures are clearer, as in i get alot less motion blur.
Dont know if any of the above have anything to do with eachother, but thats the way it seems.

I am using Jokers 0.1.0 2d RCO from the cm9 multicolaboration thread
Known issue...obviously you did no reading when you decided to flash this.
for now you should stay with cm 7 if the camera is important to you. Taking pics works but the cam is still kind of buggy. camcorder does not work at all

Sorry I haven't check back in a while. I don't know what the other two people are talking about, the cameras (front ans back) having been working without any fcs for me for a while now. You can download the latest Jokersax builds along with other fixes, kernels, and GApps at his website, here: http://www.jokersax.com/developer-pages/jokersax/cyanogenmod-9-atrix/
I personally didn't even need to flash the fixes, or haven't flashed any in a while. Just the beta 0.3.0 and Gapps v10. Let me know if that works.

turl v8 build, defo wonky camera.
Open camera, its laggy but at least it works.... take pic, exit immediately, do not preview, do not try anything fancy lol once it FCs takes a reboot to fix, also breaks 3rd party cameras.
I can live with that in return for ICS goodness

Don't start up the stock camera app, use 3rd party fist like I described. No problems
Just switched from turl v8 to jokersax beta 0.3.0, stock camera works now
camera360 is still laggy on mine.
jokersax build is not an option, I have mad battery drain issues with it (faux kernel most likely culprit since have had similar issues with gingerbread faux kernels before)

Front Camera Not Accessible in ICS?

Is it just me or does the ICS rom for MediaPad not support the front-facing camera?
I'm not sure when it happened, but I can no longer see any way to switch to the front-facing camera; I am not sure it wasn't there in ICS before, but I certainly can't find it now.
Any hints or advice? I am using the the "Olympic" custom kernel, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
UPDATE: I can confirm that switching back to stock kernel allows use of the front camera, so it must be an issue with the custom kernel.
I'm using stock & Olympic kernel. FFC option is present in camera app, works fine. Was missing in Osimood, though.

The TS problem already resolved by installing the modules in the kernel thread.

Anyone using camera 360?

When running camera 360 the screen seems to be out of wack. The image seems tilted and distorted. However, I when switching to the ffc and back it fixes the problem.
Anyone else have this issue? I'm on aokp m6 and the same thing happens on devil toast 0.74
Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
Try using an updated version because it may have compatibility problems if you are using ICS.
The app kinda sucks anyway. But I think it's free and probably one of the better free ones. I users camera zoom fx, much nicer. But I always go back to the stock camera for some reason, got cool mods camera mod installed so it's a big improvement over htc's

I flashed the cool mods camera mod and compared to the camera 360. The pics do not appear as crisp and clear as with camera 360 .
To the other post, I have the most current version of the app installed

I think UCam is the best free camera app. I'm thinking of paying and going pro! Try it out and see how it works. I can use the feedback so I can install it on my sisters EVO3D.

It just kept crashing for me when taking a pic
Sent from my PG86100 using xda app-developers app
I can take the pic just fine. However, it is the preview that is distorted. It happens with Ucam, Camera360, and sometimes with Camera Zoom FX
EDIT* I believe it was the aokp rom I was on. I flashed sense 4.0 and no longer have the issue.

Stock camera app on ICS roms?

Hi everyone,
Here is a simple question:
Is it possible to port the stock froyo samsung camera app to work in an ICS rom? The samsung camera app is much better than the ics camera app.
It looks like the camera has many dependency packages in the lib folder.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
...You're probably gonna have a hard time finding the stock Samsung app because:
1) It is most likely copyrighted by Samsung
2) You are most likely the only person on earth who prefers the Samsung camera over stock ICS.
The stock camera app can be easily found in the stock rom or in most froyo custom rooted roms. The stock samsung app is better in every way. It has more modes, adjustments, and better panorama.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda app-developers app
I've used the stock Samsung app on my Vibrant, and I prefer the stock ICS app in every way. The panorama mode is far superior in my opinion, not to mention the nicer UI, the faster shutter, and the option to shoot video and pictures simultaneously on certain phones/ ROMs. It is unlikely that the Samsung camera will be ported to ICS/JB simply because there would have to be a lot of changes made for compatibility, and most people prefer the stock ICS/JB camera.

Really, the stock ics camera I used was unstable and the panorama will sometimes not save. The panorama also takes forever to generate. What rom did you use? I was using ics passion

I was using SlimRom, its really lightweight and fairly stable, since it has gone through several iterations. You can find it at slimroms.com. It has OTA updates as well, although those are kinda hit-or-miss.
