[Q] MMs Conversion .. - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, first of all sorry for my english, i will do my best
I have a problem like every samsung on Android did .. With the Stock Client SMS, after 3 page of sms it converse by itself to a MMS .. and i have unlimited sms so i would like to disable this fonction.. But i don't want to change my Sms client ( Go Sms .. )
Can you help me please ?
I'm on SGS2 2.3.3 Stock rom, not rooted
Thanks !

Impossible to achieve that without rooting or using an sms client from the market. If you had root, there's a modified sms.apk in another thread that could do that. Without root, your only chance is to install an sms client from the market. Go SMS Pro or Handcent SMS can send more than 3 sms. I tested them myself, but i don't like them either. Thing is my phone doesn't send more than 1 sms and it gets converted to mms as soon as i reach 160 characters. I'd be happy if i could send 480, like all the other SII owners

From similar posts fix is < MMS_mod_cwm_by_muveszur-signed > requires root .

[Q] group sms limit of 10

anyone know how to increase sms group limit of 10
Just been searching for a fix for this, any luck?
Maybe I need to change my search terms?
Yes, a fix is in vrtweaks for villainrom 1.4. Also lets you send over 4 sms without it converting to mms
Thx for tweaking pulsar!
What i also find very anoying is when sending group sms and one recepient has only a email saved, the whole sms is send to all recepients as an mms! Produced me some unwanted extra costs..
Just wanted to let you know
you can also use "handcent sms" oder "gosms" from the market.
they're much prettier than the stock sms app and you can send group sms to all the phonebook eg or tick off the conversion to mms and stuff like that
I changed max sent from 10 to 100, and sms convert to mms after 40

[Q] Can anyon help me with the sms 80 bytes

I am now using sky vega a820l a fascinating phone from korea with its 800x1280 íp hd screen (the reason why I bought it) but like other koreans phone it can only send sms with 80 bytes.
If i used go sms or handcent the sms (longer than 80) either cannot send or send with strange characters to receivers.
I know that all koreans phone has the same problem but such as galaxy s2 or galaxy s if we use international rom we can fix it. So can any tell me what could I do to fix the problem

The Go sms pro can send up to 160 characters on my Korean Anycall Galaxy S. What you should do is make it the default sms app meaning if you have all three running, it going to get messy . Best to uninstall , delete data, cache and fresh install making it the default app for your sms
just download the latest Go sms pro from google market , its free

[Q] Question about Galaxy S3 SC06D

Hi,
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S3 SC06D (Nttdocomo) and was having a bit of trouble with the sms and mms.
First question is, is there any way to send MMS using this phone? I know the stock messaging app does not have an MMS option so I downloaded few other apps to try send, and I cant receive or send. I have put the correct MMS apn in for my provider which is Optus (Australian). But I have not been successfull.
Next question would be, using the stock messaging app on the phone, the sms has a word limit which stops me from writing a big sms and sending it off as 3 sms's. Is their anyway to bypass or switch this off again without using a third party messaging app?
I am currently on android version 4.1.2. and baseband version SC05D0MBMF1.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
This is I9300 forum not your phone .

Need SMS App for sending long Messages as one message, not in parts

Hello!
I've installed CM11 on my girlfriends S4 Mini. So far everything's fine, but she's really angry because of a SMS problem. On the original firmware it was possible to send long messages as one "message bulb". Directly from the SMS app as well as over airdroid. Now with CM11 messages are splitted in 160 parts. No change with "SMS Messageing AOSP", "hangouts" or Airdroid. The "SMS Messaging AOSP" app is capable of showing long messages as one message, but viewed in airdroid (wich she uses frequently for having better overview, making backups etc..) they are still splitted up. I saw other messages she wrote on original firmware and they are very long. I think she was able to write up to 3 or 4 sms in one message, wich then of course cost accordingly. But it was possible and normal. I know that at some point SMS got transformed in MMS, wich is more expensive, but she's willing to pay more for the better overview in the history.
Is there any chance to achieve that with CM11?
Thanks
in sms app if u find it >> Click Menu > Settings > SMS Split .. and disable it
NOTE :
using cdma network will force the sms to be split according to talks here
