Hi all,
I've tried to download some apps from the Android Market, it downloads but stops in a few seconds (won't install)
Apps like Angry Birds...
I searched the forum like un-mounting the SD card and download again but same results...
But some other apps will install without problems
Thanks, I'm looking forward to your replies.

I cleared the Market cache + data and tried again to download the app... but it still doesn't want to install.
My phone build is 3.0.1.A.0.145 if that helps?

Just a thought, some providers will not allow you to download big files using your data plan. I know I had that issue when I had iPhone. Any big file had to be downloaded with Wi-Fi.

Hmm, that could be the case because the file was like 20MB...
And the other app I've installed with mobile network around 2MB
Thx JarekG!

I experienced this problem before (though not exactly like yours). All I did was to delete the APN setting and downloaded them via the Settings --> Sony Ericsson. It was sorted out then.
Try this as well.

Okay, I'll try that too thx!
Hi,
Just want to post that the problem has been solved...
I've contacted my mobile provider (Mobile Vikings, Belgium), asking if they are blocking files larger than 10mb for mobile transfer. They have answered they don't block any file sizes at all...
So after some searching, it seems that my APN settings are incorrect compaired to the settings on my providers website.
Although those settings was sent by them autom. when I've first put in the sim card into my Arc
On the phone APN settings "default, supl" which should be just "default"
Now I can download files larger than 10mb from the Android Market and watch some clips on the internet without problems
Not very sure what the extention "supl" means.
But it's working now and I'm happy!
(Thanks to everyone who has replied ^^)

Since I installed devoid froyo, the apps that I try to install from market web does not appear on my phone I have checked everything....and It should be Ok). What can I do?
Something else, I have noticed that, the apps which I uninstall on the phone, continue appearing on the "Downloaded apps" section on market app. They continue here, but instead of "Installed" they say "Free" (Just like a normal app that you have not installed)
thanks!

If you use TitaniumBackup you can force attach an installed app to the market.

Thanks dude for your suggest, but it continues! I dont understand why...I have tried everything and dont solve
Even the web market continues not working
I would back up what you need to and try a factory reset, thus if its a data problem it will all be cleared. I read about other people having the issue just needed to sign in to google talk (unfortunately for me I cant sign in, in england). If that doesn't work clear everything you can in recovery (except fat32 on the sd) and do a fresh install and try it with out making any adjustments to the rom. Check as you reinstall or delete things to find the fault. Android can be effected by odd things sometimes such as the wrong date or a error in the call log
Aaron, I think that If I do what you say, a complete wipe and fresh install, the bug would solved. But I think...is too much to do, copy all....backup...configurate again... and maybe I lose something, or any setting.....So I prefer continue with the bug and dont risk to install everything from 0
Thanks.
Titanium back up will save things like settings, call logs, and data with the apps (its just a pain to click install all the time) it has a batch back up and batch restore. But I suppose if you just restored everything you may re-introduce the fault. With CWM recovery you can do a advanced restore and select the partition you want to restore. Sorry I cant suggest anything more than wiping and deleting the gapps data
Dude I got the solution,
Even I was having the same problem.
Go to market > settings > filter
N select show all apps.
Thats it.
Reboot the phone n enjoy.
Press thanx if helped u.

It's been a constant problem forever with CM and a few other ROMS. It happened to me yesterday. Solutions range from cycling airplane mode, cycling 4G-3G-4G radio, or a full on reset. It usually takes a full reset for it to work for me.

Hmm, what mine will do is show that i have an MMS message from a sender and then when i open it and go into my text messages there is nothing there and its "gone" for ever. Likewise when i attempt to send it just says "sending". When you say reset what are you referring too? Because I did reboot the phone.

I have a problem with this 10.1.3 update. I hope I can use this thread to generate some assistance. After the update, I lost ES File Explorer. I went to the market and tried to download and reinstall. No go! It downloads but doesn't install. Any suggestions besides using a different App? I've added a photo of what the Play Store says when tring to install. This is my first time posting so be patient if the pic doesn't show. Thanks for your help.

Try going to Settings>Applications>Google Play Store. Then Clear Data/Cache. Then reboot your phone, and try reinstalling ESFE again.
Is ES the only app you've had trouble with? Might need to start fresh on your rom slot. Did you do a fresh install on your rom slot, or just update from 10.1.2? Did you wipe cache/dalvik when you did so?

Not sure if this is phone related or not, but basically if I download anything I cannot use the internet on anything else as it just times out.
Example, I download something from play store then whilst that downloads I go to look at the news or search something in dolphin browser etc only the internet wont work until the download is done.
It is not just a play store thing, if I download ANY file from ANYWHERE then I cannot use the internet on anything else until download is finished.
Is there anything I can tweak to increase the maximum number of connections?
I am Rooted if it helps.
Thanks

You need to check with your network provider. Which network are you on? For me, it's instantaneous either 4g/5g.
I’m in Germany on Telekom.de network i resetted also the Network Settings which the Provider told me but still issue remains
Have you wiped the cache partition in recovery menu?
Have you tried Galaxy App Booster (Good Guardians suite)?
No delay here - PL. It is as fast as it can be on our poor 5G network...
Try setting the Private DNS to Off in Settings>Connections>More Connection Settings
No problems here

You're welcome. I'm very sceptical on the fact that it could solve the issue if the cache partition wipe didn't help, but it's still something to try.

As it's only manifesting on two apps, I'm more suspecting that it's related to them than related to the network itself (if the OP said it was touching everything using network, I'd have recommended something like what you wrote, surely).
