(the pixel is cyan - colored).

Hello all,
I've had the same touchscreen? issues with 2 different Evo3D's. The first phone I had replaced even though when I took the phone to a Sprint repair center, the Slate machine said theres nothing wrong with the phone.
What happens is quite simply is the phone starts acting crazy. It acts like Im pressing on the screen, making tons of selections, calling people etc...I can click on the power button to make it stop. But then it will act up again in a few minutes. The first phone I had the store flash back to stock, turned s-off etc... It didn't make a difference. No matter what ROM is on the phone it continues to do it. So I had that phone replaced.
The second phone does the exact samething. If I didn't have the first phone in front of me when I received the second one, I would have thought they sent me the same phone back to me. I rooted this one right away as the other one so I dont know if the phone had the same problem before the root process. I've stuck on a ton of different ROMS to various degrees of success. I'm running Eternity right now because it allows me to at least use the phone semi functionally. The touchscreen problems are limited to the upper 20% of the screen where its unresonsive most of the time. But the craziness clicking is down to a minimum comapred to other roms.
I fixed the problem once when I was flipping ROMS and kernels. I put on ViperROM2.1 then flashed the Tiamat kernel. I was like yesssssss, I found the right combo. But alot of the phones functions didnt work like voice reconition, 4g, etc... So I cleared storage to start again and all the problems of the touchscreen as before came back. I've tried flashing kernels like Tiamat, stock, dual cores, single cores. Always have the same result. Last bit of info is I tried to superwipe and that failed. So maybe theres something in the internal memory thats causing all these problems? any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

My guess is that something is screwing up kernal wise or your flashing. If your phone was fine stock then something got dicked during the flash.
Is there anything I can do to a clean wipe and start fresh again? Or should I try to figure out why the Superwipe isnt working? Or do I have to flash all the stock back on and turn the s-on and get a new phone? I think the digitizer is causing these issues.
This is my second Galaxy S2...first one had a defective screen (white spot on gray colors), now I'm having issues with this one...
While playing games (any game pretty much), randomly the game "reloads" (as if I went back to the home-screen and then returned to the game, which in some cases pauses the game after the reload but in others the games just close themselves).
I'll be honest, after all the good things I've heard about this device I'm really confused how did I end up with 2 phones with issues this big (both were brand new, though the first one was on the store's display-shelf) =/
What I've tried:
Resetting the factory settings
Updating to the latest ROM available for my area (2.3.5 Vodafone Spain)
Switching to a newer ROM (2.3.6 Open Germany)
Problem still exists.
Could this be a battery problem? (the battery I have is still from the first phone so I can assume it's defective aswell, but wouldn't that restart the phone itself rather than cause the issues I'm having?) That also crossed my mind when once a battery widget I use dropped 20% during a phone restart...
Any ideas? Something I should try?
I'm really desperate with this issue since "no gaming" on this phone pretty much makes it useless...
Thanks in advance for any replies.

You have to change the screen timeout delay and or any timeout delays example your screen pattern or password. This is not a battery problem. The battery dropping 20% you obviously changed the current battery in the phone to a different 1. If you have to do this just clear the battery stats in CWM.
EDIT: There is nothing wrong with your phone its working perfectly

You're so right - absoluetly pointless device without games. Anyone would think it's a phone if we weren't sure - thanks for the clarification.
I'm going to buy a DS for my telephone needs.

Tried changing the screen timeout today from 30 seconds to 1 minute, the problem still remains (no passwords/patterns are in use), while playing Asphalt 6 it randomly re-loaded again.
Just to make sure you didn't get the wrong idea, the issue is not that the display turns off (phone lock), the issue is while it's in use.
Did I miss doing something in your instructions?
CWM = clockworkmod? Doesn't that require rooting the phone? (mine is unrooted, only used Samsung official ROMs on it)
Can you give me the steps needed to clear the battery stat? (unless it's displayed right on the menu, then I won't need "tutorials" o.o )
Thanks in advance.

People don't buy a 450€ phone just for calls or internet. Phones were good enough for calls/internet/videos/photos 4 years ago.
My phone keeps locking up and freezing and then rebooting. Or sometimes it wont reboot and then I have to pull the battery out. Basically what happens is I'll be surfing facebook or even using google maps and what will happen is the phone will freeze/lock up and you'll see a line of distorted pixels and the phone becomes unresponsive after that. You can't push any buttons it wont respond to anything. It either then stays on that screen and then reboots itself after a moment or it just will stay lit up on the screen you were on or it will just go black and become unresponsive. You can plug it in it wont charge it wont turn on or anything. The only way to get it back on is pull the battery and start it up again.
Weird mentions: If I try to start it up right after it's had the lock/freeze it will do it again almost immediately. It will load and right as it gets to the home screen it locks up again. I usually have to wait a little bit and then I can start it and then I can use my phone. But if I try to do to much on it, like running google maps while using navigation (Like keeping the screen on all the time) the phone is gunna lock up and freeze. But if I push the power button while it's running that app it wont lock up and freeze.
Thoughts: I dunno if it has to do with the processor and if it works too much it locks up and freezes and causes the phone to crash or if it's a heat issue.
I have an HTC Amaze 4g Phone rooted, S-OFF running EnergyROM ICS 4.0.3
I have formatted it several times, re-installed the ROM and still getting the same freezes/lock ups. Any suggestions would be awesome! Also if I can help clarify anything or provide more information for you lemme know! Thanks so much for taking the time to read all this mess and help me out!
Sounds like you did almost everything to eliminate the possibility of a software problem. If you're still under warranty, I'd say get a new one =)
Have you tried to format the SD card? I've had the same issue and that's how I solved it.
Another option is to get a new battery

That's what I was thinking because when it does lock up and freeze like that the battery will lose 20% to 30% of power from that one freeze. I could be at 100% battery power and then that the phone glitches like that then I lose that much battery power? Yeah I'm gunna try and get a new one.
have you tried any other roms? have you upgraded your kernel?
Try to go in steps and stop where it fixes the problem. It happened to my sensation when I really tried to mess up with system files. For me it got fixed on step 2
0.5) Make backup of storages on computer and take out external memory card
1-) Flash the stock ruu (use search in development thread) reboot
2-) format internal storage
3-) it might be hardware issue, depending on your warranty, you might get it fixed by HTC/t-mobile.
Try the methods 0-2 at-least

I think it's the hardware. Because when I'm in recovery it freezes even in there. I even put in the new battery I bought and I'm still getting those random lock ups. I even took out the SD card for safe measure to make sure it wasn't that.
I would back everything up, do a complete wipe, flash a stock RUU and then see if it happens. Or take the easy way out and call your carrier for a replacement. If you have T-Mobile, they're pretty awesome and quick about replacements.
Call T-Mobile for a replacement..
Its a memory parity error on either the GPU or CPU... yes it is heat related, hence an almost instant lock up on warm reboot.

I just had to do a warranty return on a completely stock unit to T-Mobile for this very issue. Identical symptoms to OP. Phone seemed to behave normally if little was done to it, but streaming any sort of data could get it to hard lock pretty quick. I was assuming it was a bad memory chip somewhere.
I had a similar issue. Different battery. No problems now.
Hi,
This is my first post so I do not know if it is in the right section.
I have an Android Phone (ZTE KIS V788 – Full spec: gsmarena.com /zte_kis_v788-4586.php)
It runs Android Gingerbread 2.3.6
It keeps turning off and restarts, it is basically not usable anymore.
What can I do to fix it?
And is there any way to update its software manually? (It has 256MB RAM, and 800MHz CPU)
Thanks!

Your issue is the device. No matter what you do to it, it will still act up. The issue is that the device doesn't even have enough ram to run the os properly. 256 mb of ram is just not gonna cut it.

But at new it used to run well, and still has the same firmware (Gingerbread), how is it possible that this issue started just a month ago?

I bet over the last month you have used it right? Meaning new apps, filling up database files in info? Phones like that are ok at best if left completely stock and maybe an app or two but they all sooner or later suffer the same thing. Mainly as they dont use an Official release version of android. Best advise I can give you is to keep it as clean stock as possible, Use cloud storage for pics and what not so you wont have them eating up space on the device.
You can get out of the soft bricked phase by try rebooting in fastboot menu. If that doesn't work you can try flashing the phones original files which will reset everything on your phone. Though, I recommend getting a new phone because, your still running gingerbread. That is an extremely old os as most newer devices are running lollipop and kitkat. If you don't plan on spending a lot of money on a phone, there are plenty of cheap phones out there. If you do manage to get out the bootloop than I wouldn't run any newer apps on it, as it will crash the phone.

I have always kept it stock, only installed Facebook and whatsapp.
This is a very weird issue, as the phone behaves normal when charging and does not randomly turn off.
I downloaded an app that checks the battery health, and it says that the battery is good.
I also noticed that when the phone turns off and I switch it back on then the battery is completely drained – for example I have it at 100% charge and after the random restart it shows only 9%.

To flash the phones original files, you will need to look up a video either on YouTube or find another website with informative directions. Basically, you will need fastboot files and roms/ img files to revert your phone. You will need a computer and usb cable for this. Go to YouTube and search how to fix a bootloop or how to fix a bricked/soft bricked phone. Best of luck.

Sounds like your battery is one of two things. 1. Its going bad. (Many reasons why the app is tell you its fine, Thats 2) 2. The battery is a fake and there is software that was changed to hide this. A common practice in some places in the world. The reason it is only now failing "could" be that it is starting to die but the software is still set to show you its good.
The fact that it works fine when it is plugged in would support those theories.
You could try reflashing the files as suggested, but do yourself a favor and DO NOT use some youtube video. At least not before reading up. The issue with youtube videos is that if something goes wrong then you are stuck even worse with no idea what to do. Then you will find yourself right back here.
Hey there everyone,
I was glad getting my LG V10 since it was released, getting a professional camera options with 2 front cams and a secondary screen (i have never thought its gamish).. WOW !
To get to the main topic why I am posting here,
My V10 performed perfect ! Untill a sudden day game and everything was changed.
I cann't figure out what was the main reason causing all these issues to my V10 because many things happend in when it got issues and I can't make sure what was the main reason.
So,
1- after using my phone for more than half of an hour, i start noticing shadows on the screen of items that usually stays on screen like the clock on the top right corner, when i go to a screen that hides the clock, i can still see it but with low opacity, leave the phone a bit and here, shadows are gone !
2- HUGE over heating issue
3- HUGE battery drain issue
4- with phone is hot, and i open the camera or snapchat, i notice some white parazites (like the one shows when trying to take a photo for a tv screen) and blurry areas are like damaged pixals
5- when i close the phone, it white color or maybe an over brightness blinks for a half of a second, then it locks off normally
6- many other problems not so important the mention
The biggest suggestion I have is that the problems was here after i updated from android 5 to 6, or because of a possibly damaged charger i used.
Can any body tell me if software may cause such a problem ? If yes, is it possible to downgrade android version on V10 ? And do you know how to downgrade it ?
Sounds like part of the problem are LCD burns... From what I read they go away after awhile. May even be covered by warranty if not...
happens to my v10 h960a , the icons displayed for a long time then when you close the screen its still there like a shadow .an for the battery drain you need to disable or uninstall as much running appsm as possible . even when i disabled loads of them 50+ apps are still running with nothing left to do but root an customize the phone yourself or custom rom because you'd be waiting on lg for months to update .

Yeah sounds right.. But what about the shadows problems ? Any solution so far ?
The icon shadow i noticed lately but it is gone
The battery problem you can go to developer option and show cpu usage to see if there is a particular app that drain battery and you can install greenify and enable aggressive doze it will help the battery life
And for the snapchat camera i see the problem when i'm in a white neon light
But the normal camera doesn't have this problem
Why don't you backup your phone (LG even gives us an app to do it) and factory reset it, to see if your problems are still there at stock ?

i haven't tried any custom roms so idk if its a software issue . if it still happens on another rom then id believe its something you'd have to get used to..
