Hi, does anyone recommend a good calendar app with integrated task that syncs with google? Free would be great too. I use Jorte and its nice, however the task feature on it is very flaky on syncing with google task.

I'm using this one, but unfortunatly it's not free =/

Calendar++ is an enhanced version of the default calendar app, which features in:
• full integration with Google tasks service
• various efficiency improvements
• more functions and options for power users
This is a free version with ad.
Please consider buy a paid version, I'm just a humble developer.
I just registered XDA, so I cannot post links., You can search Google Play for Calendar++ or Calendar++ free.
Hi,
I just tried looking on play store, but could not find Calendar ++, does anybody have a link, or the apk please?
Thanks
John

I use the HTC Mail app - because it is so slick compared to the stock Gmail app.
I observe that when I tried using Gmail app as well as the HTC Flyer Mail app - and sent some test emails - Gmail would receive and would notify receipt of these test emails almost immediately
Whereas the HTC Mail app would not receive/notify for several minutes.
The only setting I can see that relates to Mail Receipt frequency is Mail->More->Settings->Send & Receive->Update Schedule where the lowest/fastest Update Frequency that can be set is 5 minutes.
Is there some other setting I am missing that would make HTC Mail app receive/notify email in more-like real time?
Thanks
You are looking for a Push setting. I don't believe that the HTC Mail app does that. You could try another app like K-9 to see if that would work better.

Ok thanks for the reply. I guess what throws me and what I was trying to convey is this - why does the native Gmail app immediately notify of received email and the HTC Mail app does not
I'd guess the app uses a push protocol. That's why someone suggested you try K-9 since it supports push protocol. If you like K-9 but want a more Honeycomb like interface you can buy Kaiten email, made by the developer of K-9 but with a nice multi-column display.

Hey I appreciate the reply - and the suggestion. I will give Kaiten a spin but I do love the level of customization and design aesthetics HTC has put into all their apps - Mail, Gallery, Music etc - just so graceful
But my thanks again!

Google has built that function into their Gmail app, that's why it works that way. HTC apparently hasn't. I don't use the HTC Mail app at all, and never have for that reason. The other is it doesn't work well with Exchange with security policies for ActiveSync.

Does anyone know of a calendar widget like Simple Calendar Widget that works on ICS? The built in one doesn't show all day events which I need.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
I've tried just about every widget I could find but couldn't find a working one, except for the default include one wich I don't care for much.
So if anyone knows of a working one please speakup!
Thanks,
Cheers,

Agenda widget is working fine for me and also has some nice themes that blend well with ics. Its free in the market.

And so is Wizz Widget -> https://market.android.com/details?id=com.snowbee.colorize.hd
works fine
The Wizz Pro has to be paid for and got from their site.
sdana, thank Will try that out now!
Nope! getting an error message with Agenda Widget.
Pure Calendar Widget works, it's a paid for app rather than a free one, but it's the only one so far that works on my Nexus.

It's worth every penny. Regular updates, responsive dev, and tons of settings and skins options. Working fine on the ICS beta I'm trying.

Ive been using Calendar Widget up ICS and loved it but its definitely not fully functional on ics yet.
I will give Pure Calendar a try. Thanks.

Cal Widget has been updated to work on ICS now. Not a bad looking agenda widget, although it's biggest failing is it won't let you select what calendar app to use when you tap the widget, it forces you to use the standard calendar app.
Hah - Ignore me - Simple Calendar has been updated with ICS support - Hoorah

You can search Play Store. You'll find something you like there rather than ask others for suggestions. Try K-9 mail.

I just can't understand why Samsung had to force S-Planner down our throats... Is it for Air View?
Nonetheless, I'm thankful Google released this. Maybe they should also release the default messenger (SMS) app too.

Theres more to it than air-view. At least for me using exchange sync...
S-Planner at least allows you to reply/forward from the Calendar. Google still has not figured it out. This is essential for me and I suspect a lot of others using exchange sync in corporate environments.
I also happen to like the pinch to zoom being used for shifting from day/week/month view on S-Planner while I miss the pinch to zoom on Google's version :/ - Can't have both I guess.
Hello Everyone,
I moved from Xperia to Pixel and i really miss the Xperia's email app. I used to set it up to access email's from work (Exchange server) and i could see the calendar on Google's calendar as well. I know i can do this if i set up Gmail to access work email but Gmail has issues syncing Sub-Folder and the Outlook app is well plain ugly and does not sync with Google calendar.
Do you guys know of any email app that works like Xperia's email app?
Regards
Sanjay
I've not used Xperia mail, so cannot comment on how it compares, but fory work exchange account I will use nothing but Nine. It's awesome and handles sub folders great and also integrates with Google Calendar. It's not cheap, but it is so worth the money IMO.

Imagine Nine being made by Sony and being offered for free, preinstalled on Xperia phones
I am looking for a free app and if i do not find one, will have to settle with 9
I have been using Spark. It is new to Android but, has been out on iOS for a long time. I got use to using it on my iPad and I really like it.
My favourite email app is the LineageOS email app. It can be downloaded from APKMirror. If you use Swift Installer, it won't be able to theme it to dark though, so you might need to install Swift Dark or Swift Black with Substratum if you want a dark theme.
