Hello.
I have some issues here.
I wanna change default system Wallpaper in my new rom, but i have some problems.
I changed default_wallpaper in framework and TWThemechoser, and I've got bootloop.
I don't know what should I do
And another question
If I want change default system launcher, I need to download new launcher, change it at default and delete old launcher app from /system/app ?
For now, I've only these questions.
Thanks for help.

System default wallpaper is in framework-Res.apk extract, and its in 2 folders inside/Res. Just make sure its same size (pixelsxpixels) then rezip.
Launcher, just add the one you want to/system/app and delete the old one.

If you want add wallpapers to 'default wallpaper gallery' then my friend you would have to edit the default Launcher .apk [they are in the drawable-hdpi folder]. unpack the apk>>> edit the contents>>> repack the .apk ... that's a lot of work!
check this out really cool wallpapers

is there any easy way out?
hmmm..im kinda newbie in editing those kind..
im using adw launcher..but if i set some cool pic as my homescreen it was zoomed..but in stock launcher of froyo which is the samsung home..it doesnt zoomed..but you know i dont want the samsung home..its kinda boring..hihi
BTW,,what apps to pack and repack?
hey..i had tried to unpack the twlauncher30.apk of ace..but i didnt saw the folders containing pictures that was on default wallpaper gallery..
The wallpapers are located in TwWallpaperChooser.apk
To unpack, just extract it with 7zip or similar, to repack just zip it and rename .zip to .apk. You need 2 versions of the image, small and large. For large version use 640x480 resolution and for the small one resize the image to 107x80.

You have not to install it! copy the apk to system/app/, then reboot and add the widget on your desk!
ps: I prefer beautiful widget...
I can't copy...it says something like file is read only..
I downloaded root explorer, found the apk file, made copy, access system/app and then tried to paste...
Thanks for the help

Here's an apk with the background for the 4x3 widgets set at 25%. I could go full transparent for all backgrounds if you'd like, but probably won't be able to get to it 'til after the weekend...

Did not worked for me. The file was in /system/app even not appeared in widgets
Repeated many times and still not working
Any ideas ? (I prefer HD Widgets or Accuweather For Honeycomb. Trying only to learn some tricks)
Edition after work:
Tips & Tricks
If any reason you´ve installed another version of widgets from accuweather.com, look at /system/app for both com.sec.android.widgetapp.weatherclock.apk and SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk (there are a conflict here)
Mount rw /system/app
Copy files to anywhere you want to backup
Remove both files
Reboot
Copy file SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk found at begin of this thread to /system/app
Set permissions rw-r-r
set RO back
reboot.
Stock weather widget will appear and you can install Accuweather for Honeycomb from Market. Both will work together.

It depends if ur using ics. If its ice then u need to mod SystemUI.apk from system/app but if its not then u need to mod framework-res.apk in system/framework. I suggest looking up a tut for the Modding because it is a long process

my phone is the htc one x, Android 4.0.3 and with stock launcher ''rosie''
okay im looking for a tut thanks a lot
If you just want to replace icons with others, all you need do is use 7zip or similar to open the apk file and literally just swap the existing icons with some new ones.
If you want to add icons, or change how they're displayed, then you're looking at decompiling.
Need help !
Can I jus replace the contacts.apk , phone.apk and get a new look or can I jus replace the PNG's on those APK's ?
Or , should I have to deal wit' the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk ?
Also , is there any way that I can extract the icons from an icon pack ??
Check this thread. You will find what you are looking for.
I am using Real ICS Lite r4 rom and in it's font folder it contains 7 different fonts and I want to chage the default font to a different one in the font folder. I know you can get apps that can change fonts but I would like to know how to change font by editing the rom on my pc, so if anyone can help I'll be grateful.
Cheers

Replace the fonts Roboto-Bold, Roboto-BoldItalic, Roboto-Italic and Roboto-regular in system/font folder with your prefered fonts.

It does say I don't want to use an app
i use font changer to change my font but some text still doesnt change, dey have tha ROM font....
"Sony Sketch" Font
Have a try
For now I haven't been able to do what I wanted, install a new font into the rom as defsult and not just rename my chosen font, which happened to be the 1 linked to RavinduSha which have had to use for now and drop it into my rom then install the rom.
I have found in system/etc a .xml file called system_fonts.xml that looks like it needs editing for this to work, I wil look into this further and if I do come up with a solution to change the default font of a rom and not just using a renamed file to "trick" the rom, then I'll post it here.

I have seen it stated that the font changer doesn't always change all fonts and you can end up with more than 1 font type, this is echoed above by whalesplaho saying it didn't change all their fonts and that just isn't good enough. I have a custom bootanimation, custom theme, custom lockscreen icons, every app having a paid custom icon all installed directly to app's, etc, etc, to make things how I want and don't want fonts that don't 100% match and frankly I prefer to do my designing/editing on a pc and not rely on app's to do it for me.

If your phone is not rooted, you can only disable the wallpapers under Settings>Apps. If your phone is rooted, you can install titanium backup and uninstall the wallpapers permanently under Backup/Restore.
You can always delete the images using file explorers.
Cheers!

Oh! That. You can delete the wallpapers in the zip . Just explore the rom zip and go to zipfile>>system>>media. Its different with every Rom. You might or might not find the wallpapers in the same location. It's rather easy to delete the wallpapers after flashing.
