Ok, this is by no means perfect or probably even 100% symetrical, but I drew this up quick in paint.net and printed it out (DON'T use a program that print's with window's picture printing options - like paint.net itself. It will SCALE it down!). I bought a 4 ft roll of Carbon-fiber NiDoc vinyl off ebay for < $9 shipped and traced this on to the back, cut it out and BOOM! Cheap skin with extra in case I screwed up!
Sorry ElectronicCrap guy, but this was a LOT cheaper than getting it from you.
Just thought I'd share. It looks GREAT on mine!

I gave up. Went to office depot and purchased a leather portfolio, you know the one used to carry paper tablet, went to home depot and purchased some good quality velcro strips and got busy. What ended up with is a protected gtablet w/clearence at the bottom for heat and all ports are accessable. It looks good too. Cool.
picture???
Why not post a pic or two?
When I get home, will post pic.

Granted I have to work on back rest, but I believe you get it. I will apply the remaining strips for stability.
Awesome. I was going to do something similar with an old binder from a conference but the dog got it too (see "Anyone got an extra case? thread)
EDIT: I was going to use vinyl tubing cut lengthwise to form flexible clasps for the top and bottom, maybe even a side, if anyone wants to give that a try. Oh, and the dog also got my prototype case that I will be posting the design for here soon, after I rebuild what she destroyed. Luckily I noted the dimensions.
Nice!!! Checked Office Depot but found nothing close to the Samsonite you have. Do you have the Office Depot SKU #?

Awesome. I am going to incorporate this type of frame into my folio stand design.
http://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Book-like-iPad-Case-Dodo-Moleskin-style/
I found some bookends and bent them to a certain angle for my g-tablet.
Now have to hunt for the case and the Anti-Glare SP.
Not too shabby.
That looks nice! Paint it flat black and you have a nice stand!
I need something like that, I was thinking of asking one of my coworkers to weld me a stand with thin steel bars to my dimensions.. Though this looks easier to make.

Just saw your bookend stand and dug through my closet. Happened to have brand new black 6" bookend that works perfect. Thanks for posting the idea, saved me some money!
I found this bad boy at Michael's for $3.99. What I like about it is that it is infinitely adjustable, so you can position the G-Tab upright, or lean it way back to make it easier to type with both hands. It also folds pretty much flat, and can easily fit inside the $5.99 Sears case. Bought two, one for home, one for the road.

Thanks for the tip, I did the same (a old bookend) and I am very happy with it. now, I can use the G-tab as a 10 inch picture frame at work as well (just make sure turn off the auto-shut off feature for the screen + plugin AC power).
After looking for a case endlessly and having to protect it somehow from scratches.. I made a little case for my G Tablet. If I had a sewing machine it would look a lot cleaner. But, I had to sew by hand which I am very bad at.
Overall this case is working perfect for me!
In case you're interested.. Here is how I did it:
I bought a folder "Padfolio" from my local CVS.
Since I cannot post a link at this time. Just go to CVS website and search for
" Mead - Padfolio, 12-1/2 X 9-1/2-Inches " you'll see the folder I used.
Then I cut it down to size. I had to cut about 1" on the sides and top off.
After you cut it, trim the cardboard filler that is in the middle about 1/8 of an inch. Then sew it shut!
I used velcro to attach the tablet to the folder and it has held very nicely and firm. I bought "Scotch " brand velcro at Autozone, but I have seen it at Home Depot and Radio Shack as well.
I used a little piece from the left overs I cut out and made that little flap to keep the case closed. (I used velcro to attach it to the case, again it is holding very well.)
So there it goes. With a little patience and time and hopefully access to a sewing machine you can make your own!
Hope you enjoyed
P.S. I couldn't fix the title of post lol its DIY not DYI

Thanks for sharing,
But starting with a $15 folder + adding time + resources + skills .. don't you agree that spending $20 for tested and proven amazon case is a more viable option.
Just my 2 cents.
Yeah I'm going to check out that one from Amazon. After seeing the pics, I don't like how that one closes with the G Tablet. It seems kind of forced.
I also like the USB Keyboard combination case that's customized for the G Tablet. I ordered one of those for $25

I did something similar.......researched the dodocase for the ipad initially, then found a website (Google..make you own ipad case) on how to make a case..purchased a nice piece of sheepskin leather, binder board, Pva glue, and liner paper...made a custom case....still not exactly what I want though.. now looking a more rustic Buffalo leather for anothet attempt,I want a case similar to the product Renaissance Art makes

I too am a case maker. Curious how your attaching your tablets to the case. I've tried tubibg to make clips, elastic on the corners and even embedded neodyiums in the tablet sides. Haven't decided which way to go long term yet, but trying new ideas is where I have most of my fun
So I went to Walmart after hearing I might find a stand for cheap and I was surprised at the results. I got a decent stand that fits the g tablet in landscape and portrait mode for $1! I did test fit the other ones but settled one the $1 and the $3 ones. I have to say the cheaper one is my favorite. I just put a bit of tape on the bottom so it wouldn't slide, even though it holds it firm. I would suggest this stand to anyone that needs a temporary stand. I have uploaded all the ones I seen at Walmart. Here you go, have a look.

Thanks man I splurged and got the 3$ stand. I liked it because I can fold it up. Definitely works like you said it does have a tendency to want to slide but other wise perfect. Thanks for posting.
I have been using a business card holder as a stand. Works great in landscape, but not portrait. $2 at staples.
Little glue does the trick
i picked one up aswell. But after doing a quick browse thru walmart's clearance aisle, i found a get-a-grip pad for $4.
So i cut the pad (4 strips) and super glued them to the stand. Now i have a no scratch/no slip stand. I love being crafty
I got one of those transparent stands shown in the first set of pics. Works fine, actually, and looks like it belongs with the pad.
The folding and lightweight nature of it is great too.
I might try this, thanx for the idea!
I bought a book gem from amazon. It works really well and it folds nice and flat so it fits in my case perfectly. I use my GTab at work so having it sitting up is a must. The position makes typing really easy and quick.
Another nice thing is that I'm able to use it in portrate mode and hang it from my steering wheel so I can read my book (Kindel app) while I'm sitting at Sonic having lunch.
Sorry, can't post a link, but here is what it's called.

I use the same exact stand and I love it. My fiancée was the one who suggested it would fit and I have been using it every day since. Love that it folds up and and travels in my back pack perfectly. Great idea with the get a grip, I'm doing that asap!
Picked this up from Amazon and in my opinion it's just as good. I have a D-brand skin on my LG G7 and I can't tell the difference, at least for the last few days that I have it now. I had a Amazon gift card balance so basically got it for free but for that price it's a great deal. Several options and colors are also available.

Note: If you want the back only just write to them right after you place your order. I sometimes use a magnet case when I use it in my car and skins that wrap all the way around aren't always case friendly.
I just ordered one of the SopiGuard skins on eBay. Never heard of them before watching J. Williams on YouTube review the Honeycomb skin.
I picked the Gloss Wine Red one. Unfortunately it's gonna take some time to arrive as I'm from Europe and Sopiguard is based in the US... I'll try to post some pictures once I receive the skin and put it on my Pixel 4a.
EDIT: I effed up when applying the SopiGuard skin, so I had to remove it. I ordered a EasySkinz one, and it came with two skins: a back-only and a full body wrap one. I applied the back-only option because it was easier to apply. Looks okay I guess.
Hopefully it doesn't start to peel off in a month
