Hello
I'm on the perooted version of gingerbread for my X2. I have the normal horizontal battery inditactor, but between that and the clock, I have what looks like a vertical battery outline with a check in it.
What is it, and how can I remove it? I'm assuming its some sort of vestiges of Motoblur.
Thanks
Marshall
its the icon showing that there is an active alarm set
Sounds like the alarm icon... turn off any alarms see if it goes away

yeah, the genious that thought the little clipboard with a checkmark on it was a better clock icon than the froyo icon needs a performance review...
That was it! Thanks everyone.
Who the hell thought that that icon was appropriate for an active alarm?

You know maybe it's just me but does no one else hide there notification bar?
I use widgets for what seems like everything personally.
So what i'm looking for is this. The Nero theme is great (TW Nero V1), I like the green and all that jazz but the battery meter blows, accuracy is lacking on a whole new level. so what i'm looking for is this.
Black out color scheme to make the battery & clock invisible on the Notification bar. I don't care if it's a clock work flash, or a morph, whatever is easier. Thanks in advance!
If you use LauncherPro you can just set it to hide the Notification Bar
yah i do that, but you know when you open something the blasted bar always comes down to haunt me. And bam right there in my face is that evil inaccurate battery and bright white Clock, Hell actually is there a way to skin the notification bar clock? Like change the color? if it was the same green color as everything else on the bar my ocd wouldn't make me twitch so much about it all. lol
Use ninja morph to locate any icons u want blackness out .. like ur battery icons... their in ur framework-res.apk files.. long press the icon u want to change.. and click edit.. there u can blacken out the icons..
Trying to request something this unique is pointless... I suggest knowing how to change ur framework work files.. to suit ur visual desires
I got bored so I made a Morph for you. It will work with MetaMorph and Nero ROM.
What it does to all battery graphics, including the charging graphics and battery full notic, are all invisible/black. Should be what you wanted.

your awesome, thanks
Anyway to get rid of the clock next to it?
I have a rooted stock 1.1.0 nook color and once had a little green battery icon displayed in the notifications bar. It has been removed and i can't remember the app i used to put it there. May have been a widget of some sort. Any ideas about any widgets or apps that might work? Thanks.

EDITED: I just "discovered" that I had previously used "Battery Status 3.4" from the Market (I searched my Titanium Backup files and found it). It simply places a small icon in the notification bar for a quick visual indication of battery charge remaining. I like it because it is displayed wherever the notification bar is displayed.
I just wondering if you anyone know how to add power Widget to Pull down Notification like you see CyanogenMod or touch wiz with galaxy?
I am rooted but not running any rom on my photon...
I've went round and round trying to find an app or mod that does this best. I ended up settling with an app called power control plus. The options arnt truly embedded into taskbar, but instead is just a constantly appearing notification widget in your drop down. It is a paid app, and the 4g toggle currently doesnt work for the photon but hey, it does the job and is pretty well customizable.
I've been using Notification Toggle from the Market which is made by one here on XDA. Has worked pretty good for me. Can even add a shortcut for apps, change icons, colors, etc.

I've searched around and couldn't find a how-to for the sg3. I have an alarm set for every day of the week and don't like seeing the icon in the statusbar.
How do I go about removing the icon from the statusbar?
I don't think you can unless you root your phone. The icon is there to let you know you have an active alarm.

ya my phone is rooted, i was able to decompile the systemui.apk, just have no idea what to edit.
Easy does it
You can do less drastically - schedule those alarms as calendar events, and they won't show in status until time comes. You will lose smart alarm functionality
I too, hated seeing that alarm clock since I have a daily wake-up alarm. I ended up installing this free app called Alarm Clock + which allows you to control whether to put an icon or not.

I'll have to check this one out.
I am looking for a app/hack/mod that makes the navbar fade in and out a certain color when your receive a msg or notification...
I think this would be a great mod or hack for most phones to get a fast glance what kind of notification you have also setup for different colors for different contacts in the phone.
I am not a dev by any means so I am not even sure if this is possible or not but I think it would be very useful.
Anyways let me know what you think or have any ideas where I can find something similar to this idea..
Thanks.
Well this phone doesn't have a navbar. . . but you can install Handcent SMS and have custom icons, tones, and vibrate patterns for individual contacts.
I'm not really sure that I'm understanding your idea properly, but it seems a lot less efficient than just looking at the notification bar, you can already see what notifications you've missed at quick glance and more than just one
think he means notification bar. i think thatd be dope for the bar to flash a certain color when something comes in.

yeah exactly... the bar itself will change so it would be faster than swiping down the notification bar ... specially when your driving ...
Great idea man. Would love to see this also
