For some reason, my email.apk bombed after i installed the CF CWM KG2 kernel and I dont have a email client on my SG2 anymore. Nitrality is unable to install any app on my SG2 as well even though it has root access. Not sure what is going on with my SG2 but wondering if anyone has a copy of the email.apk and email.odex files from their /system/app folder that they can share.

Hi !
I just used SystemApp Remover to delete some system apps. Unfortunately I deleted the GenieWidget.apk and the GenieWidget.odex without backup.......because I´m an idiot
Could anyone be so kind as to copy the two files with i.e. Astro or Root Explorer from the Optimus One and upload them here? The "standalone" GenieWidget.apk´s from other threads don´t work so I need the original files. Would be much appreciated.
Best regards

Only the apk, from my O1, seems the odex file is not present in android 2.2.1. Try it.
I´m using the stock FroYo 2.2 from LG, in the system/app folder are a lot of .odex files, too. So I thought i need it, but the file you uploaded is working and doesn´t need the .odex file at all.
Thanx for uploading, focos!
Ye, i've seen in 2.2 version are the odex file, but in 2.2.1 are not.
You are welcome.
I am looking for the stock samsung memo app. I believe I found it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10157669&postcount=1492
The problem is it won't install I unzipped it and and tried to install just the memo apk.
I also searched and came across this one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811097 Again the apk will not install but this one had a odex I am not sure what that is.
How can I get this to work?
Your gonna have to manualy put it in system/app with root explorer. If your on stock rom you will have to have an odex file with it. The odex files are in the system/. But if your running a custom rom its probly been deodex so just push the apk.
Fear the beard...
I do have a custom rom Nero 5. I was trying to run the apk from my downloads folder. I just tried to move/copy it to system/apk and it will not move with astro file manager. Am I doing something wrong?
You know i dont use astro so i dont know. You may want to try to fix permisions in clockwork. But if if I were you I would just pay the $1.99 for root explorer, its the best app for root users. I use it all the time to install memo on nero roms. You know my girlfriend has a mt4g temp rooted and I cant install anything in there with linda file manager.

I rooted my Archos 70 with Archangel, then deleted Email.apk in system/app with root explorer.
But when I open this folder again I see "deleted" Email.apk.
So I could not change stock email.apk for another becouse it even doesn't allow me to delete it.
Could you help?
PS I used different aplication to substitute\delete Email.apk but with no success
And you won't be able to do that if you root it with arcangel.
The Archos System folder is in a compressed and signed cramfs, there is no delete possible.
If you want to do something like that, use UrukDroid.
You can use Chulri's simpler root too.
I then replace the stock email.apk with Samsung Galaxy two-pane email. It works great and survives reboot.

Hey, just wondering if anybody has managed to port the write and go app from the i9000 to the i9100?
I used it allot on the galaxy s and now its not on the galaxy s 2.
I used a root explorer and bluetoothed the the apk and odex file over to the GS2 but it does not install, not even if i put them in the system/app folder. it goes tgough the install process but comes up when finished with the application not installed error.
Since upgrading my rom to Cherry blur, i have lost the email app. I have searched the entire phone and it is truly gone. I installed the 2.2.2 email.apk, but it isnt working correctly. Anyone have a the 2.3.4 email.apk that i can download?

You don't have to install it. Copy the apks to /system/app and reboot.
Cheers.
