i have rooted galaxy ace and when i tried to clockrecovery mod it by rom manager,i choose another name of phone and when i booted it,the device not open at all
what i can do???
I think you not read post in general section. Because many time many dev give worning that not to use rome manager app. you directly install clockwork mode via recovery mode. Because rom manager is killer of galaxy ace. It kill your ace means your ace is breaked. It start in downloading mode then flash new firmware.
but my experience say that your ace not start in downloading mode if you use rom manager. And you not choose by mistake wrong phone in that. You choose because ace is not in that list. I also phase this problem 3 months ago when i am new for this.
dont worry go samsung service center there it will repair because my ace was repaired by them

ok this is what i dont get.. You're smart enough to know about Xda Development Forums, you're smart enough to root and flashing your phone. However you're NOT smart enough to A) Google Bricked Vibrant (which will show you MANY MANY posts on the same topic ) B) use the search tool ??? Cmon seriously, I come here to learn and maybe help a person in need if I can or ask a question if i have done my research and still no clue.. I almost posted today on how Odin and Cappy works b/c i have one at home that i flash from time to time, but guess what? i read and found my answer.. sorry to rant.....
To Answer your question look up ODIN and viola all ur problems solved.. Next time create a backup so you can always fallback in case of a bad/non compatible Flash..
Samsung may be coy with the official Froyo, but I cannot give them enough props for making a virtually unbrickable phone.

I try to install new version of CWM and thats the last. After install i have only my eyes for crying. I cant turn on the phone and i dont know why. When i use charger phone sleep no answer i try to push power button maybe milion times but not happend. When i connect phone to PC no answer nothing pls help me.

There is no new version for galaxy ace. There's only one dysfunctional cwm3 and one functional 4.0.0.9
So you probably flashed a recovery meant for other phones. It's hard bricked now.

i ask that because if u download from here on dev subforum or from koush site, u shouldnt be bricked. but if u download from rom manager or from any other untrusted source, ur device is hard bricked. yes its still repairable, but only by samsung service center.

Lesson: Never flash when drunk and don't use ROM Manager .

WHY would you put the wrong files in ODIN, just read the tutorial and follow it correctly?
And to kinda answer the question, what've read is that ODIN will not brick you phone, you might be able to get a bootloop though (just reflash and it should work fine).
Read the newbie guide(sticky thread) about Rom manager, it should be supported now but be cautious, better to use CWM app instead, or just reboot your phone to CWM (dont be lazy).
People brick their phone when unlocking their phone, there should be a proper solution that works without having to brick you phone.

Ace break by rom manager
not know about odin if choose wrong files in wrong option as not tried yet but if i'm not wrong if you choose wrong files md5 sum not gonna correct so it shows error and not let you to flash if you choose wrong option

Sometimes i can access in the phone by usb, but odin doesn't recognize my phone.

Only way to get it fixed is by changing the mother board..experienced the same a few months ago..

I m also using galaxy ace but nothing seems to me like that, it is working properly for me.
my samsung galaxy ace was 2.2.1 i went through the process by using super one click i rooted my phone .......i got super user app and rom manager i downloaded colockworkmod through rom manager it asked me to confirm the model,i chose dell streak because my model was not available and it installed clock work mod ., when i switched off my phone to enter recovery mode , my phone was not starting ... i tried pressing my power button for hours but it doesnt start pls help mme out through this process!!!

Another ROM Manager victim. Please read around before you do smart things to your phone. Its well know that ROM Manager bricks the ACE. Try to get to download mode and flash a ROM via Odin. If you cant, take it to repair center.

never heard of anyone manage to recover after flashing cwm via rom manager. even if they manage to go into donwload mode, and succesfully reflash with odin, the phone still stuck on booting. are u sure u friend's ace got bricked from rom manager?

It will cost u the money for fuel if u using own transport from your house to the services center and a few bucks also if u use public transport...

I got odin to pick up my ace but the screen does not go on......
And then when I say flash it just says setting up conection and stays there

You can try with a JIG (Dongle USB) ..if Download Mode on your Ace isn't damaged it would start in Download Mode, then Flash Firmware with Odin
It seems he was using the old version of RZ recovery which had the boot.img bug. He might not have updated to the latest fixed version.

I think no if recovery and Download Mode don't start..
Last year i bricked my old Galaxy S..recovery doesn't starts, Download Mode doesn't starts..so i bought a JIG ..just putted it in my Galaxy S and in 3-5 seconds it autostarts in Download Mode
When i bought a second hand Galaxy Ace a few weeks ago i find my jig and i tried it on Ace, my phone automatically starts in Download Mode so it is 100% compatible with Galaxy Ace you can be sure buying it

umm..okay..but if it wont turn on how would they know if its rooted or no? when they actually fix the phone and get it working they cant deny you the phone!! they cant be like "you rooted this phone and we worked on it so we wont return it"

mostly the second download mode which ace have that is arm dump mode or whatever can directly interact with insides.. if phone can enter that thing then it is recoverable by them..
i saw something similar in Galaxy R thread to recover it from hardbrick.. but no such files are there for SGA
