Firmware should work with compatible devices such as: Cherry Mobile Superion, Commtiva Linx N700, Olivepad VT-100, Spice MI700, and Camangi FM600....but I do not have these devices, so I test work on my VPAD7.
Download url: on wellcommobile website
Other information about this rom:
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband version: PR3.7_128
Kernel: Apps_2.6.32.9
Build Number: 5004_3_540
I would love to test the ROM, but that website is SO SLOW from Europe.
I believe that this is the link for the ROM:
http://www.wellcommobile.com/android1/A800ROM_2011_08_05.rar
If anyone would download it and upload it to www.multiupload.com or an equivelant site, that would be awesome

Just FYI - Post #35 in the link below has the A800ROM - hyperlinking should work - and the ROM
can be downloaded in 10 minutes or less, depending on your broadband connection - already uploaded via multiupload - I manage to do it myself

Good luck & if anyone managed to flash it to VPAD7, please share your results & feedback, etc.
Looks like this is the firmware version for the models with HWver: 107
I'm not sure what this would do to a HWVer: 106

I finally managed to download the file and yes, it is the FM6-3540-0-5004-A01 ROM.
I only have HWVer 103. How do you know which HWVer you're supposed to have?

Hmmm, that' nice and then it should work on my ITE harware with HWver 107 and GOOD Question on whether this is backward compatible with earlier non-ITE ones. According to Amalgation's other posting, this A800 ROM supports ITE hardware - does HWVer 106 have ITE ?
DW's going to scream if I lose her Angry Bird scores by re-flashing this ROM & possibly lost rooting as it is a factory one ! I suppose I can flash it & get it rooted again, reinstall Titanium Backup & restore my Apps - will do it this weekend as I will need several hours time set aside.

Yes, the Wellcommobile linked site was so slow that it was impossible to download, try it on 2 fast broadband connection and both timed out & unable to save the file. Let's see if TAIZ can confirm & give us more details since it was tested on her/his VPAD7 ?? See my comment or thoughts above on Ver 103 ....
To get into Factory Test Mode (FTM): power off VPAD7, then hold the Vol. Down key and Power On (it's similar to getting into Recovery Mode) - it's safe and works for both unrooted/stock and rooted device - it will show the following: (mine are below)
SWVer=3.41
FM6-0001
HWVer=107
Postscript Update - this did NOT work on our HWVer 107-based ITE VPAD7
Grrrrr :< - DW's going to scream when she discovered while TB restored all the apps & most data, scores (data & settings) from Angry Birds didn't & it's basically at base level in tier 1, OMG (starting all over again .... oh, well - the price for progress, LOL)
please refer to post #46 in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1224825&page=5 for details on Wellcom A800 - Froyo 2.2.2 PR 3.7_128 2.6.32.9 and Build 5004_3.540
I suppose that I could've try to flash mine to FM6-316R for earlier HWV releases or build, which would put the device into unrooted state (but non-functional since it doesn't support ITE) and then try to upgrade to this FM6-354 to see what happened. But, it could also brick the device or at least result in more time consuming work to try to reflash, get root again & restore - or worst, return to the factory for an exchange ....
For the time being, I'm going to reformat the 16G mSD card with extra partition and move apps to SD as internal ROM/storage space is definitely limited & running low - otherwise, I can live with the New Market & ADW Launcher replacing the stock one.
I've installed this firmware on my HWver: 106 viewpad 7.
Works without a problem, except only has English and oriental languages
Has some nice launcher mods and other things. Too bad it doesn't work on ITE hardware.
Regarding angry bird I think u did not do a new bakup before flasing new rom

I thought I did used TB to do a full backup along with CWM, but .... since I'm still chasing 3 stars on all level, not a big deal - it managed to restore to earlier scores/data kept & at least not starting from zero all over again.
Since then, I've d/l an Backup/Restore Apps from Market to save AB and AB Seasons, much like what I'm doing for the HTC Eris for the Call Logs & SMSs when switching ROMs (especially when I'm thinking seriously of upgrading to a new(er) HTC next month - and our local phone carrier like to release OTA update & "fixes" that patch (really to "close" or terminate/end) our rooting & S-off exploits, etc. - LOL.
Anyway, I'm pretty happy nowadays running TJ_Style's FM6 rom with 2.2.2 and non-OC kernel since I got ITE hardware, and with VTL Laucher & multi-lingal GB keyboard installed - it's good all around.
Could use a faster speed (OC kernel) and a bit more internal memory/space, but .... Okay, the wait for a GingerBread continue !

There's no official 2.2 or 2.3 version so im looking for ROM. I think there is no ROMs for this model yet ? But can i use ROMs which was created for other phones ? im really really hoping that someone will make 2.2 or 2.3 for this model. Thanks for answers.

To install it:
1. Unrar it to your computer, and find a folder named "dload" with the biggest size.
2. Copy that "dload" folder to root of your SD card
3. turn off phone
4. Hold volume up key + end call (red) key and the press power key. Wait for it to load, it will say something like "Updating system" Wait for it to finish, if it says fail, just try again
5. After it says "Update complete" or "Update successful" just restart your phone and you'll have the new beta firmware.
6. Reboot can take about 5 minutes. Be patient.
Do it always while charging.
Highly recommend to back up the original firmware before installing new ROM's
On your own risk. You can brick your phone and you void your phones warranty.

Hi, to load phone in recovery mode and to fulfill wipe date and a cache. I apologize for the bad English
How did you guys download this?
The only way i can see the link to proceed to download is via google translate. And when i click it i get a 404.

You cant use google translate when clicking! Under the android guy pic, click where it says сюда, you then come to another site, just now click on a link on the page, that will take you to another page (the sponsor page), then you will se that it will start ticking the time in the top of the window, then after that you can click again and actually start the download....

Just wanted to say that this rom works awesome on my u8300.
It requires some tweaking. Change of lcd density etc. And the screen calibration isn't perfekt. But it's much faster than the stock rom so i'll stick with it.
Definetly worth a shot.
But according to a user on another forum there might be problems when you downgrade from a 8500 rom to the stock 8300. I haven't tested, so i can't really comment on that...

Viewpad 7a 'Enhanced' (RC1)
Viewpad 7a is a quick and dirty modification of the stock firmware from Viewsonic. This should be a decent alternative to the stock image, with improved performance and appearance.
Highlights:
- Removed the 'Welcome' logo and replaced with stock android boot animation.
- Replaced stock boot image with overclocked version: Credit goes to TJ Style @ Modaco.
- Minor framework modifications (got rid of annoying white status bar, and misc images).
- All packaged applications remain, but I will add or remove any upon request.
- Enabled hardware acceleration.
Notes:
- Firmware should work with compatible devices such as: Cherry Mobile Superion, Commtiva Linx N700, Olivepad VT-100, Spice MI700, and Camangi FM600....but I do not have these devices, so I cannot verify. As always make a backup before installing any custom firmwares.
Known Issues:
- You may receive an error from Swype upon initial use to the effect that 'it's not meant for this firmware and may be limited'. I haven't had any issues since seeing this, and have disregarded it for the time being.
- Root condition has been known to intermittently go away. Remedy this by running Super One Click again after you've flashed the ROM.

I'm currently working on a Vanilla AOSP port of Gingerbread for this device, and this will be the main focus of my effort. I will try my best to answer any bug reports or requests for changes to this firmware, but won't make any promises.
As always a big thanks to everyone in the Android community that shares they're knowledge and support.
To install this firmware use ClockworkMod to flash the zip file. (I use version 2.5.1.2). Information on rooting and installing an alternative recovery partition is available here.

Update (August 22nd, 2011): I've deactivated the download link until I get time to put out a better update with ITE support.
If I am not wrong this device is similar to Commtiva N700/ Spice Mi-700/ Olive Pad VT-100.
Nice to hear someone taking the initiative for development on this device
I've added the compatible devices I'm aware of to the first post. I may take advantage of CM scripting in the Gingerbread port. Will update when I have time. I've attached a screenshot from the froyo firmware below if anyone is interested.
I've been using it for the past two days without any issues. I borrowed a SIM card from a friend today to test the data connectivity and call function. Both work flawlessly. The battery life isn't as good with the CPU overclocked, but it's worth it for the extra boost of performance.
I was planning to get this device with my first salary which is few months from now
BTW, To make things easier you can use Cyanogen 7 which I think is having support for similar hardware.
Can MeeGo 1.2 be ported for this Device?
It will be releasing this April.

Looks good.
But I prefer Android with its vanilla looks.
Can LCD density be used with this Tablet? does it work?
Please check that out.
Nice to see someone finally making a custom ROM for this device. Would be nice to have something like HyperDroidGBX for the HD2 using AOSP, Redux, CyanogenMod.... that's one hell of a nice piece of Gingerbread.
Hopefully the Viewpad 7 will get its own sub-forum and your ROM will be the first in it.
Cheers!

I have clockworkmod recovery installed, works, and overclock boot.img installed works too.
My VIEWPAD 7 has still stock ROM with Chinese handwriting touch, if I flash this custom ROM, do I loss Chinese handwriting function ?
Does all wifi, bluetooth, GPS, 3G network, multi-touch remain the same ?
Also, I am looking for App2SD script, to extend my internal /data/apps -> mSD card (ext2/3/4) paritition too.
thanks, cheers

I order a viewpad 7 from amazon on saturday. I had some concern about it and was wondering if I made the right choice. Now that I see that you are working on increasing its performance, I feel comfortable with my choice now.
I install gappinstaller v5 on a archos 70 and 101 with no problem by following the step by step direction. I dont have my viewpad 7 as yet but I hope the installation goes smoothly. I donate
I flashed it to a WellcoM A800 and the GSM radio doesn't work anymore. Whatever I do it indicates that I'm in airplane mode. I tried with three different SIM cards with the same result.
Please advise...

The ViewPad finally arrived this morning. Got it all rooted, CWM'd and the ROM installed.
Nice work!
The wife will love it when she gets home tonight!
I'll definately let you know if I come up with any suggestions.
Well, one suggestion now:
move all the non-essential apps from system to data so they're easily removable.
Actually I can do that myself in a little bit...
Looking forward to Gingerbread!
Thanks again!
Having updated to lasted firmware,my A43 can't boot by old-kernel-rooted SDE system.I'm eagerly look forward to get an new rooted kernel, because many apps need root permitting.
oh no, come on...
1) use search before you post

1st post, 1st error.
Remember me when was released the last firmware? Yeste.... yes you got it!
Be patient, everybody her has a real life and other things to do that delivering a rooted kernel only few hours after it have been released.
Also note that it is never a good idea to jump on a new firmware without waiting few days before to see if there is not a big problem on it (like the "ho no! I can't return to a precedent version and all is so slow now!")
In fact, when I saw the version number2.3.20,I thought that's an Android 2.3 firmware,so I updated it without hesitation......
I understand. But unfortunately firmware revion numbers are not relevant of the android version inside it.

Yep, I had a brief hope but then remembered the "odd" Archos fw numbering scheme. Also thought that it might be a build date, but then remembered prior versions not matching that idea.
Big number jump for such a seeming minorish update though, given what prior releases were.

It's not complicated, I just wish Google could translate that page better, Merimobiles are providing a firmware update guide this week on their site so it should clear things up. I'm defintalely going to try this newer firmware with the guide.
How is It better? sensev7 or rena3? I bought the sensev7 but I don't know. The screen resolution for sensev7 is better, but doesn't have many other things for exemple bluetooth and microfone
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA
great news, rena3 on deal extreme (199.99)

I get 3+ hours easily, only thing that sucks is the battery indicator as it doesn't show the correct charge, I guess it's just a firmware issue.
How did you update the firmware btw? Did you manage to update it with the chinese instructions?
refer "How to use FWDN" here

(don't flash any images in this thread. it's for tcc8902 tablet, not for you)

try power off -> hold back & power on.
for reference, on EM71, home + power is FWDN and menu + power is fastboot and back + power is recovery. adb reboot bootloader goes fastboot mode.

DO NOT USE FWTOOL TO INSTALL RECOVERY!
TOUCHSCREEN WILL BE DEAD!!!
if you can flash 2.3.3 ROM for LY-F521 posted on 99pad, please try clockworkmod
http://androtab.info/files/tcc8803/cm7/20110615/LY-F521-8K/
I think LY-F521-8K-recovery-signed.zip can be installed from stock recovery.
I don't have LY-F521, so I can't test it. please use with care.
if it doesn't work, please reflash 2.3.3 ROM.
don't use this file on non-2.3.3 ROM or on other tablets. it may brick your tablet!

sorry, no "stable" "complete" release are exist. I don't have LY-F521 nor another tcc8803 tablet, I don't know what work and what not work on LY-F521. if you want to know how good, please test and tell me result
by the way, CM7 is just for my fun. I like dev work and I don't care result. I think almost same level on tcc8902. refer following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1101094
if someone test CM7 for LY-F521 and basic function works, I'll add LY-F521 for my target. but don't expect progess, it's my spare time project.
I'll give it a try in a day or two when I have more time to play with this thing. If one day there's working CM7 for LY-F521 I'd be glad to help you out

5 months later . . . . i'm guessing the answer is, "not really". Too bad.
.
Help needed!
Is anybody kind enough to upload a recovery.img and boot.img for the stock rom?
My phone is halfway bricked because of my foolishness, but I could still enter (and only) the fastboot mode.
I cant pull any data from my phone so I`m guessing its the WW 13.6.6.15 maybe, since I never updated it after I first bought it.
I`m willing to try any version anyways since its useless anyways.(btw, the version shakalaca uploaded at his MEGA site didn`t work for me.)
Thank you very much in advance for you help.

Four things,
#1 AFAIK, the bootloader gets reset w/ the into of upgrades.
#2 No word on whether the bootloader works on upgrades.
#3 System, audio, & camera performance are already flawless, so you know what they say ... it it ain't broke . . . .
#4 Once boot loader is unlocked, & the ultra 3 is running TWRP ... you can install other / better audio / cameras any way, as well as kill bloat.
