I think it IS a very useful link. It's the first link I've seen that leads you to a cab of the BAS. And what difference does it make if it is cooked in a ROM or just installed as a cab? It should still work all the same. It's not like you are going to notice any difference in speed with it cooked in..

I was just trying to figure out what the OP means with his one line question... Maybe he wants a ROM with only BAS as 'main' OS, just like Android as 'main' OS such as these thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=615560&highlight=android
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625484&highlight=android
It's interesting, although BAS requires BES service to run...
gosh thats cool...any chances it might run on elfin? since i've tried the application suite on elfin. Managed to run BB connect on elfin, but they don't have the BB Messenger. thats the only thing i looked for from the BB...
i got stucked with the msg like "rom htc-elf" is not supported." or kind of sumthing like that.... i was using onyx 6 at that momment.
sorry if that sound very noob question...i am still noob however. asking wont hurt tho
Hi,im new to this forum and first i would like to apologize if i posted in a wrong place.
Please delete or move this thread to an appropriate place if needed.
Last night i managed to install HTC Desire Android 2.2 on my HD2 and it works perfect!
Unfortunately its working strictly from the SD card so its a bit sluggish.
Is there some way to install Android 2.2 on HD2 main memory and delete Windows Mobile for good?
Thank you!

Im new to changing roms and i dont know if it is possible to delete Win Mobile and replace it with Android.
And if it is possible please direct me to correct stable rom.
Again thanks!
at the moment the answer is no i'm afraid. people are working on getting droid running from the phone but don't expect a replacement any time soon.
i'd advise you search as there is plenty of info about this

Chris

As Chris said above, it's not possible yet. The devs are hard at work on this as we speak and hopefully it won't be long.
P.S. if you have any more questions on Android on the HD2, please post in the HD2 Android General forum
And welcome to xda

There's no need for that kind of language...it's not tolerated in this forum. While it may be frustrating seeing the same posts over and over, it would be a little more helpful if you were to help the OP and guide him to where he should be looking.
Thank you for answering this.
Im sure its pretty hard to redesign OS like Android to work on device that is not intended to run it.
The guys at XDA are doing a great job!
I apologize for opening another thread about Android.
Is there some news about WinMobile 7?
I heard that MS officially dropped support for HD2.
Will there be custom ROMs based on Win7 for HD2?

One question about HP Web OS...
I saw their tablet on display at Fry's and the web OS looked very interesting.
Is there any way to port this set up to the Gtab, or any other Android device?

technically webOS runs on the linus kernel so It's not impossible, but the porting of all the stuff they put on top of the kernel + drivers + everything else would probably be too taxing and not really worth it, so I would say you will never see a port.
no i don't think that its possible to port it since they are two different operating systems, but maybe someone really really really techy could. Its like Mac and PC you can't install Mac OSX on a PC. <- ignore that i feel really stupid now. lol

That point doesn't matter too much.
On my HD2 I can run WM6.5, Android, WP7, Ubuntu, and winxp, so the "other operating system" thing doesn't apply.
And you actually CAN install maxOSX on a PC and you can install windows 7 on a Mac.
I think it is technically possible to port WebOS, there's just no developer interest in such a taxing project.

I know that many phones had this functionality in the past, but I think that the platform that axed, but I will dig in and see what I can find that might help you. Can you give us more explanation about what you intend to do and maybe we can have more opinion about what you can and cant do?
Dear Megabiteg,
Can you remember how long it has been since mobile phones had fax functionality, and which models or brands has fax functionality?
Thanks,
Harry.
