Neither one of these will install on my device stating that there is an invalid device ID. Do either of these enable 3g US ATT and if so is there a workaround for the issue described?

InstallThere is a great guide on how to flash a custom ROM here: http://www.freeyourandroid.com/guide/how_to_flash_htc_evo
Install latest version via ClockWorkMod recovery. If desired, flash a custom kernel immediately after (See "Kernel" section)
When coming from a different ROM, perform a factory reset. This will clear all of your data so backup your apps first using Titanium Backup and backup your APNs to your SD card using APN Backup & Restore
The system and cache partitions will be formatted every time the ROM is flashed. Dalvik cache will also be cleared.
Download the ZIP file to your SD card
Reboot into recovery and "Install ZIP from SD Card"
Reboot
Issues
If the camera crashes during video capture, change the codec to H264 or set the resolution to HD.

I started looking into this. Looks like I'll need to edit boot.img to add init.d support. I posted a thread in the dev. section. Hopefully, someone will be able to help me.

Yes, system partition is formatted as EXT4.
And I'm still investigating the lock screen problem..

how much ram have that rom ?
im using hc stock rooted with system apps removed but its still slow when i use internet and fifa 14 lags also other apps and games.
I really forgot the gb roms are they faster than hc.

A colleague has a Flyer with 3G, and I said I'd help update it because I've hacked a few HTC devices. Am hoping to get S-OFF and unlock it this evening, this proved harder than I thought because so many people have abandoned the platform and there are many dead links here on XDA-DEVS.
Assuming I achieve s-off nivana, please can someone suggest a good ROM to flash? There doesn't seem to have been much activity of late. This is sad because the Flyer seems like quite a nice device, even though it's a little bit slow I imagine with a lightweight ROM it should, if not fly, at least run!

One thing though, the 'sense 5 theme' skins still run on a different Sense version. So you might want to add them to 'Sense 3.6' or something like that.

what for ? i dont see the best kernel there
You can add the P.A.C.Man rom from CDMA section, couse it supports GSM also. Best 4.2 rom so far imho... And the speed (48.4 fps in [email protected] and [email protected]) plus all except for 3d is working (at least from the things I'm using), and it will get some more speed in few days (at least that's what cmbaughman - the developer says) Cheers

Just in my opinion, name of developer may be added next to their rom, because sometimes it says something about the rom, and also useful to trace back a rom (for ones without name)
