Bit high priced for now, so ordered a £15 RooCase look-a-like with a popper button so you can swivel the TF around inside the case for portrait / landscape / case closed while charging etc
oh for the record I do like the look but would never pay $60 for a case

Waited months and this is the first gel case I've seen, it's absolutely hideous and at that price the case looks like an evil Sonic the Hedgehog murdered someone. It's a hideous case, the price is a joke. They could go on and on about the science that went into it but there's no way that hideous monstrosity is worth $60.00. Putting the hideousness aside it's still silicone gel and that's not worth $60.00.

Every major tablet on the face of this planet has one but apparently the Transformer is worth about as much as a Viewsonic G-Tablet since they both lack a bumper case. Nah, I think its because it is new, and companies know they can charge extortionate prices for every accessory at the minute because people want them.
Once the TF 2 arrives, prices will drop

I just bought the g tab case on clearance at Sears for 5.99. Sorry but no pictures. The case is branded for the g tablet and is from viewsonic
Is this the one that a lot of us were given free on Thanksgiving -- it has all the VS markings and stuff on the packaging but on the inside says it is a regular Case Logic netbook case?

Mine stunk sooooo bad I had to throw it out. It gave me such a headache. It wasn't worth taking it back for six bucks.

Oh yes. The smell was worse after I washed it. I even used fabric softener that had perfume in it. I couldn't stand the combination of the two smells anymore.

Yep... mine smells bad too...
I washed mine in the sink with Dawn dish soap (loads of it) rinsed it out and set it out in the sun to dry. This process took about 25% of the smell out. So I did it again and got maybe another 25% out. Finally I just put it in my front loader washing machine by itself on delicate (Hot/Cold) Set it out in the sun again and got about another 25% of the smell out.
So now it can be in my car or next to me on my desk and I can't smell it at all. But if you put your nose up to it... well.. it's still there.
I purchased a Kensington 10" netbook sleeve and it fits the gtablet great!

i bought the same case for my Archos 101 and it doesnt stink. Wish the case was more firm but it is enough to protect the screen.
I have essentially the same case on my iPad and never had an issue with any smells. It's great to add a handle, but I still like the protection of a leather case when you're not transporting the thing.

I just received a Malata Zpad T2 protective case,10.1 inch ViewSonic G-tablet Zpad,folwith stand-type protection Kit book free shipping from Ali Express. It took me about 20 days to get the case but it fits the g-tablet great and secures it very well and has a tap to use the case as a fold up stand. Total cost $32.00.

I'd be in for one of these in a heartbeat. That case looks AWESOME.
A friend has one for his iPad. It works perfect in the class setting we are in with the stand built in.
Sorry for the link not being a hyper link. I have been reading the forum for a while, and figured I should just take the dive and join in on the fun.
I'd much prefer a nice leather case too than the official sleeve. Lets just hope our eee pads become pretty popular and then lots of 3rd party manufacturer's will pump out some nice accessories.

Haha, well one thing needs to happen in order for it to become popular:
Asus needs to make more than 30 at a time and supply retailers with enough so it lasts a day or two!
Has anybody had any luck finding a portfolio case for the Transformer yet? The closest one I like/found is the rooCase Executive Folio for the Xoom.

Apparently Tuff Luv were creating a tri-axis case for the transformer which was due in about 4-5weeks time. I would assume it would be similar to the one they made for the Xoom. Link HERE if you're interested in seeing it. Looks decent.

Looks cheap in material and expensive in price. They already have a bunch of "leather" cases out there for tablets. If it was me, i definitely wouldnt want a leather one as they are pretty much never leather and have a better chance of cracking than other materials. Plus by the looks of that case, its literally going to add about 50% thickness or more to the tablet when its closed.

Saw your review (http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=55917642&postcount=42) and it DOES look like a really good fit. Real bummer about the top-left elastic though. If you put the top-left elastic on, does it actually press the volume button in? Or does it just block it? That might be the one deal-breaker for me at that price.

Taking photos to show the quality of any leather is tough. From what I've read about their products, I'm sure it will be high quality stuff. I would just prefer it if they made a simple book cover type case without the tri-fold parts tbh. Maybe they'll make other styles idk. The lack of quality leather cases from anyone so far is annoying.
I don't know where you are from, but here in the UK if something says it's leather, it's made of leather (unless you buy it at a market perhaps). Quality will differ though of course. Any quality leather that is cared for wont crack. I think the extra thickness is a good thing as it would protect it more. Might add a bit to the weight but I can live with that. It's a case of you get what you pay for when it comes to leather products.

If it fits a little loose, heat it up along the edges and it will help with minor manufacturing defects.
Haha, no, but good idea I didn't realize quite how large its gonna be though. Its gonna be nice to have all that screen, but I'm thinking 4.3" is gonna be the max for me. I was pleased with the captivate, but it got stolen so here we are going to the next best thing.

Next best thing? THE best thing. Does it have a notch on the side above the power button side (right)? I don't think the AT&T version has that. The International version does though.

That looks pretty good. If it didn't already have the expensive cover I would try that one.
I like the way it can stand up at 2 different angles, I wish it could stand vertically though.

I just bought this case a few hours ago from my local store here in Dubai. It fits well on my tab. But the problem is that the hinge next to the camera hole is quite narrow. Every time I close it, it touches the power button unexpectedly causing a restart. Maybe it will differ on other stocks of this item.
I'm not using the camera that much so instead of opening the cover to the right, I rotated the tab covering the lens and made it open to the left.
Be careful after a month or so you might end up with fraudulent charges on the card you use, I did.

I ordered this case last week, so far I like it a lot. It's slimmer than Samsung version and I like the way the felt part that covers the screen doesn't end up on the outside of the case when you open it and set it down. I was worried about getting dirt on the felt and scratching my screen.
I also like that the cover latches without needing the elastic strap, although it does have one. It also stands at 2 different angles.
It does smell very plasticy, hopefully that will go away soon.

Yea, that smell is really strong at first. I can still smell it but it's not overwhelming like it was at first. Definitely a great case for the price.

That's the only issue I'm having with the OP5 rhinoshield case personally it's my fave case but this dbrand one seems like the buttons might be easier to press but that's could me just hoping they are.

I have retourned my crash guard because its ****, i hope the price will be fair and good quality.

Right now, I'm using the ebay bumper with the clear acrylic back cover. I removed the clear cover with a dremel, so I can get a real bumper.
Cheap and mediocre looking. Fair enough for 5 $.
button feel is perfect. The bumper is a bit loose without the back platic cover, but hold on the phone ok anyway.

I did and although it has cutouts for the antenna lines, it does reduce signal strength by a bar or two.
