Well the title really explains all - is there such a way? Been doing some searching, but not found much that actually works.

ive tried and tried and tried... seems like there are only mods to hide them visually meaning they are still on the phone. I think the problem is that its a huge mod its in framework.jar, services.jar, and framework-res.apk. and all the devs base their roms off these and build from it so i doubt most devs want to take the time to remove them
But then again i could be wrong
Hey when you guys say power control are you refering to the recent apps selector in the taskbar? Or is there something Im missing.

Customisable Buttons in Pulldown?

Is bit possible to change the buttons in the notification pulldown? I'd like a data on and off toggle. If it's not possible I guess I need to find and download a widget?

Thanks for the suggestion. Would like to stick wit the ki3 rom for now but if I get fed up then all those tweaks sound great. Almost cyanogenmod like list of mods!

i must say if CM7 was stable, which basically it is bar the bluetooth i think it would be the best rom and everyone would be at it.
if you want a custom rom based on stock then VillainRom is the one to go with the tweaks..

Hide Vibration Icon Mod for XXKI4

Hi guys,
I'm looking for a working MOD that removes the icon from the vibration mode is set to silent. Now I have a CheckROM with JayDeluxe, but this app does'nt remove it.
I know that the forum is a version for KI3 but I checked and didn't work.
Could someone retrieve it?

You have enough posts now to either post in the jkay thread regarding this issue and the same goes for Checkrom thread. I personally do not care if the vibration icon is there. Yes its annoying but blame samsung for the update that brought this.
i did try the jkay settings and for me it did not work. but you are best to find your answer there.
(i know my post is not helpful but it a sensible one were giving you pointers in were to actual post your question than opening a thread)
either way hope you solve your problem
Thanks, I wrote there.
But maybe you know why JayDeluxe option (Show vibration icon on statusbar) doesn't work?

[Q] volume control to move cursor?

Hello,
I've recently installed the CM9 ROM (p4wifi v20) and so far its looking great! I understand that you can you use the volume keys to move the cursor when typing, in fact I think that I had this working once, but now I cannot find out how you set this up and get it working - any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Ackoman
The rom is aokp. Not cm9.
It is in rom control, under settings
oops. I meant the keyboard settings.

Ooops, yes you're right - I should have said aokp.
I still cannot find the settings you refer to I'm afraid - I've looked under rom control, and also in the keyboard settings (under language and input) but cannot see anything which refers to using the volume control to move the cursor. I'm probably just being dim. Would you mind sending a screenshot please?
Thanks,
Ackoman
go to inputs... look at all the keyboards... click on the settings icon to the right of the android keyboard.
the cursor setting will be in the middle. If you are not using the stock keyboard this may be why it is not working. Probably only works for it.

I'm totally confused by this, all I see is Text Correction, General, and Other options. I am using the default android keyboard.

Bizarre - I wonder whether something that I have restored to my tab after flashing is interfering with it. I'm going to try reflashing with the p4wifi v20 rom again and see what happens.
Cheers,
Ackoman
Hey Ackoman I seem to be unable to find the setting too. So its just not you.
I did I a full wipe too. :-$

Hey, well its good to know that I am not alone! The weird thing is, for a short while I definitely had this working, immediately after flashing with the p4wifi rom, I've clearly done something since that has knackered it.
I did flip back to the CM9 ICS kang rom using rom manager a couple of times, but don't see why that should screw up anything in the aokp installation.
OK, perhaps I'm getting somewhere now - just put a fresh installation of aokp on my tab, and lo and behold I've now got the option to have the volume control move the cursor when typing!
I reckon something I restored or installed on my tab was screwing it up - will systematically retrace my steps and see when it stops working again, and will beam back the results here.
Thanks,
Ackoman

Right, it didn't take me long to get it to stop working - I installed gapps.zip, and straight away that screwed it! So, next question is, should I not install gapps? Or perhaps I'm using the wrong version? I'm using the version that I downloaded when I put the CM9 ICS rom on.
If I shouldn't use gapps, how do I get market on my tab?

OK, I'm a tw*t - just re read the installation instructions for aokp, and it specifically says do not use any other copy of gapps. So, I guess that solves that.

Kudos Ackoman great detective work :-D
I love this feature, but I do not use the default keyboard. Would be nice if there was an app that enabled this feature for all keyboards.

why is there no pie control anymore?

i loved to use Paranoid Android's PIE Control on my old phone for years, now on Poco, no Custom-Rom seems to have this feature. Why?

You can try LMT, very lightweight and customizable (I had it all black with white icons) : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150

Ah sorry to hear that.
Anyhow, Google has removed the mechanism used by these apps (also the XDA gesture one) in Android 11, so pie controls don't have much future unfortunately...

damnit google ^^ well i found a workaround because i really don't want to use the stock navigation, i now use LMT and fortunally the custom-rom i use offer a navigation switch quick panel, so if i really need to go inside the settings, i can switch it on, navigate with the stock one and can still use LMT again outside. Thats kinda dumb but it works and it's at least something..

Ok, that's an acceptable solution. Are you talking about Omni ROM ?
P.S.: Here is the article explaining in details the removal of the overscan feature used by LMT and others : https://www.xda-developers.com/google-confirms-overscan-gone-android-11-crippling-third-party-gesture-apps/
i dont want to make a new thread why none of the android 10 custom roms doesnt have oreo/pie recents
