I did a quick search on this but might of missed something if i did could you please post a link.
When i went to delete three backups my sd card at 2gb/8gb of space left when i deleted the backups (3.3gb) the space stayed at 2g. I backed everything up and reformatted the sd card, then put it all back on then tried to delete more items and the space wouldn't change. It is the stock 8gb sd card on rogers evo 3d. the problem is there rooted and not rooted. Does anyone know how to fix this.
what free space do you get when you put it in your computer?
when i put it into computer i still have only the 2gb
Copy everything to a folder in your desktop, and format the card. See what happens. Might be defective.

Are you deleting these on your computer?
If yes: empty your trash/recycle bin.

+1 You probably need to empty your trash, when the SD card is mounted on your comp whenever you delete a file

I've got all these files posted in the development section. It is the whole contents of a stock EVO 3d SD card. Look for the SD card thread

No you don't have to have same sdcard that came with phone, I transfered the contents of the sdcard that came with the phone, to a class 10 16GB sdcard and can the watch movie just fine.
Before you copy your files make sure show hidden files is selected, if not they wont be copied over, I only use Linux, but I am sure windows has an options to show hidden files or show all files something like that.
The Green Hornet files are in the root directory in a hidden directory called ./data that is about 1.8 Gig in size. It wasn't visable until I checked show hidden files in Linux Explorer.
After I did that, then I was able to watch the movie AFTER creating and HtcWatch account. But before that I would get no movie found.
It is hidden like said above. Go to tools/FOLDER OPTIONS/ENABLE HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS and it will be visible to move .

You can get rid of these crappy movie and crappy game to free up your SD card.
1. Connect your phone to PC via given USB cable
2. Be sure to mount as 'SD card' not 'USB charging' via your phone screen
3. Browse your phone's SD card via your PC
4. Crap Hornet 3D is located in ".data/HtcWatch/preload_movies/2141_0_SonyPictures_GreenHornet_3D.eny" at a whopping 1.76 GB. Delete the whole damn folder.
5. Crapman 3D game is located in "gameloft" folder at the root. Delete the whole thing. It's about 800 mb.
Viola! You just saved 2.5GB~ of your 8GB card, that's over 31% of your precious storage!

You'd really buy another SD card rather than just delete a few files off your current one? That's not exactly smart.

It's there, but the name is obscure. Just sort by size and you'll see a big 700mb file. Delete the the whole gameloft folder actually.

The only thing that was in there was a ".nomedia" file. I right-clicked to the check properties of the gameloft folder and it was listed as having "0 KB".
I'm thinking Spider-man downloads to your SD card only if you initially press the app icon.
What about "move to SD" through the Applications list?
Great post... Thanks for the tips and the extra space on the usdram card.. Also nice to see the Hornet and Spidey gone.

I need to remove the green Hornet off the SD card too. It's sitting on my girls friends Epic.
there was a thread believe where someone called htc to tell them they deleted it on accident and they gave him credit to spend on what he pleased
My ROM is corrupt, but i need to access the internal SD so I can remove my TiBu data and pictures, music, etc. Is there ANY way that I can access the internal storage without booting into Android? The CWM does not allow mounting of USB Storage yet.
Your pictures and TiBu shouldn't be effected by wiping your rom.

He wants the memory of the phone which is called internal sd. Then an sd card is an external sd.

You can do wipes and re-flash roms without erasing the internal storage.

Sorry
I stand corrected
But yesterday I did factory reset but my pictures where still there (checking format option too)
Having this issue when I take a picture a message says I cannot store it on my sd card and saves it to the phone memory!
Anyone know what the score is with this.
I can read the card from "my files"
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Are you able to add/remove files on the card? If not, I had the same problem - the card effectively became read only permission-wise and I couldn't correct it. Ended up copying all files onto computer, formatting the card in the phone, and copying it all back and it's been fine since

Seems that I have no room left on my phone storage & tons of space left on my SD card. How can I get my phone to put everything on the card, by default??
Would this work: if I hook my phone up to my PC, then just took all the folders on my phone storage, and moved them to the Card. Would my apps & stuff still work or would doing that not be good??

I don't think just copying the apps will allow them to work. You can use Application Manager to move some apps to the sd card.
I went thru all my apps & moved whichever ones I was able to move. But I did that a long time ago. So I still have no room on my phone storage.

Move photos, downloads and any music on your phone to your SD card too. Then in your camera app go to settings and change the SD card as default.
Download the free version of SD Maid and use it to clean up old thumbnails and program files still on your phone from before you moved them.
I once deleted 2gb of photo gallery thumbnails from my phone with this app. You can also see which files are the largest on your phone and SD card to see if you can move or delete anything.
I have this app on my phone, tab, and my kids tabs to keep up with their memory and storage usage.

Thanks, I'm also running out of space, I'll give this a shot.
Tonight I was gonna try to just backup all my.stuff and then start over. I use GO launcher and I saw that I have GO backup on my phone, so I was gonna try to.use that. I started the app & it said my SD card is corrupted or damaged. I included a screenshot of what it said:
So would this be the reason why everything is on my internal storage instead of my card? Or is that message just something I.should ignore??

If you have a card reader unmount your SD card, take it out and try reading it on a computer. If you can read it I would copy everything off and put in a temporary folder on your desktop. Then format the card with the computer and put it back in the phone, format it using the phone and try your back-up again.
If it works put the card back in your computer and copy your files back. Be sure to unmount the card each time. Mine went corrupt once because I didn't.
How do I make the SD card, the default storage for everything? Or is that not possible...

You would have to change defaults on all your apps, camera is a big one.
