Is it possible to get the battery charge level to always display on the lockscreen? It shows up only when the battery is low.
I'm rooted and using the latest ViperMOD.
Its in my Taskbar.
Mine too, but tiny and lacking in detail. I'd prefer a larger one that shows the exact % or something. I think the stock AOSP lockscreen does this.
I read somewhere there should be some lockscreen personalization options under Settings -> Personalize, but that just closes the settings program for me for some reason. I don't know if this option exists there.

Does anyone know if it´s possible (and how) to disable the default battery indicator on the statusbar ???
I like some percentage number style on the status bar, so i´ve installed Battery Indicator Pro. But now i feel that´s no reason for having two batt indicators, so will be nice if i can disable the default one, to left only the B.Indicator Pro, wich also shows a little battery icon plus the number percentage into it.

good question, i did exactly the same and i gave up to discover how to eliminate the default indicator...anybody knows a way?
Pheeewww... I´m not sure if we can block the stock battery app on the phone boot/startup (rooted phone), but i´m not sure if that can cause some kind of freeze, or even malfunctioning of the battery indicator pro (or other battery application installed). Even if that can do the trick, i know it´s not the best way.
Hi,
I just got my Phone yesterday. I am still playing with it but found some things which won't suit me. They are,
1- How do I disable Conversation type SMS Inbox? I have gone through Settings, but no option is there. Is there a Code or something which will Disable Conversation style SMS Inbox and Enable normal Inbox-Outbox-Sent-Draft pattern SMS Inbox.
2- How will I change the Lock Screen Wallpaper? I can't change it, if I click on, Settings-Display-Screen display-Lock screen Wallpaper only Camera and Gallery options are opening but Select Wallpaper from Wallpaper Gallery is not opening which has the built in pictures and I want to use them as my Lock screen pic.
3- Is this Power Saving Mode stuff really does anything on the battery to save it? Are you guys using it?
4- At what Brightness are you guys using the Phone generally? I am using on Auto Brightness but it takes a while to activate.
5- Please tell me One good free application related to Battery Status? I mean I've seen an app which shows the detailed Battery percentage on the Task bar instead of the Default battery icon?
6- Is there some Secret Codes for this? When I had my Wave S8500 I used to use some Codes, eg- *#8740#, *#5239870*# and etc.. I'd specially like to know a Code related to screen contrast. I mean imo the Contrast is really heavy and rich, which I don't like, on Wave there was a Code (I forgot) which gave an option to Enable and Disable some features like DNIE Technology and etc, so is there same type of Codes available for GS II too?
This is my very First Android device, and especially when coming from Bada it seems like I am in the middle of Pacific ocean and can't see anything. So if I've asked any stupid question please do pardon me.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Saurav.
1) i like the conversation style so didn't bother to change or look for the settings
2) u can change it if u root ur phone and u know the codes to change it or just use a custom rom found in the forum. some of them have a way to change the lockscreen
3)if you set the settings properly it works..but not that well
4)i have disabled my auto brightness and put the slider on the lowest..saves battery.. (keep in mind that in sunlight brightness needs to be increased)
5)i use quick battery widget
6)no idea.. reduce the brightness ??

1- I don't like it and I need to change it.
5- I didn't ask for a Widget but an Application which will change the default battery status icon on Task bar to a detailed percentage term.
1. not sure you can.
5. app called battery indicator.

1- . I can't believe it. It has to possible somehow.
2- Thanks. I downloaded it, it's showing the percentage on the Left Top corner of the Task bar, but the default battery icon is still there!
I downloaded an Application called SMS Composer, which does not have Threaded SMS. Cool. Still will look forward for a better app.
Hi,
I am fairly new to Android 4.1, I once had a 2.3 device with HTC sense and thought it was horrible. I changed to WP 7.5 which I love, but somehow got bored with it. Now playing with my Gnex, I notice that it's quite cumbersome to get to the clock alarm settings? I would either have to use a widget or put the clock icon on a homescreen. I think it would be great if the pull-down menu had a shortcut to the alarm settings, by tapping on the time/date at the top. Would also be great if the same thing with different function would be implemented for the battery icon, showing a percentage... currently I use a third party app to show % in the taskbar up top. (even Symbian can do this).
Does google have a site for feature suggestions like this?
second silly question of the day for me
at some point in history i turned off the status bar clock just on the lock screen. well, now it annoys me and i want it back but i can't find the setting. i swear it used to be one of the clock options under status bar, "hide on lock screen" or something to that effect, but it's just gone.
even used the fancy shmancy settings search and turned up nothing. did it get moved someplace totally bizarre or possible it's an accidental loss from some framework update?
I was hoping someone could create an xposed mod to add battery percentage to the second screen or change the whole icon all together.

Subscribed. Totally want this too. It does show the battery icon but not the percentage. Wonder if the Xposed mod that has percentage inside the icon would show up on second screen?
I agree. Anywhere the state of the battery is shown I would prefer to see a number value instead of the partially filled battery icon (I'd rather not have to see both as often is the case). This would be especially helpful on the 2nd screen.
this, would be great.....

G4 Tweaksbox (unlocked) shows battery % in status bar
They're talking about second screen, not status bar.
This is how I got battery percentage and battery temperature to show up on second screen. My phone is rooted but should work without root. Download Notification Toggle, enable both rows of toggles. Since the toggles duplicate OEM toggles I just disable the OEM toggles. This makes the OEM toggles shorter to swipe. Goto preferences and change the Status bar icon to battery percentage and 2nd Status bar icon to battery temperature. This will show the battery percentage and battery temperature in the status bar when the screen is on and show them in the second screen when the screen is off. The only downside if the added toggle rows in the drop down notification.
I tried at least 10 apps yesterday to show the battery percent in the second screen while the Main is Off.
All of them add the persistent notification in the notification area. Is there an app which just adds it in status bar and hence the second screen, but not in the notification? If not is there a way to hide the permanent ongoing notification of a selected app so that I can use any battery percent app?
bump
Good news, I found an xposed module that changes the theme and shows battery percentage on only the second screen...
