I currently have an Otter Box for my 3vo. I like my case, I really do. Can't count how many times I have dropped my phone and not marks left on the case. Well I would like to know who out there makes a silicone case for the phone with extended battery packs, along with a cradle that will hold the over sized phone.
Seidio makes a docking station that will fit their extended battery. Seidio also makes a case that fits with their extended battery, it's similar to the Defender.

We just approved the prototype today for a new TPU case for the Evo 3D after market extended battery. It should leave our factory in China on 9/14 and be available soon after. I don't have any pictures yet but I'll attach the 3D scan
We have similar cases on Amazon for the Thunderbolt, Incredible, and Evo 4G but this will be our first TPU case due to customer requests that the silicone was to soft.
Hello. Not trying to spam you guys with advertising but we did release our new TPU case today for the Evo 3D. I believe this is the first case available for the aftermarket extended batteries.
You can find them on Amazon and Ebay in various colors. I'm anxious to hear any reviews from any of you guys. Let me know if you have questions.
Have a blessed week!
I cant find you on Amazon.
This is the link to black. Other colors are available too

Well this is really refreshing and I like it. However I just cant seem to understand why this casing would be more expensive than the extended batt I bought for only USD 7. Hopefully the price will be more competitive once the mass production begins

Good question and I don't mind giving you a completely honest answer.
There are only a handful of manufacturers in Asia ( I only know two but I'm sure there are more) that have the 3D equipment and tools to make the silicone moulds. Hundreds of companies can make cases (and cheap) but none of them can make the moulds. The average cost to make a mould for TPU is about $3000USD and for silicone is about $2000.
Add that to an already narrow niche market of people buying extended batteries, narrowed more by people that want cases it means selling over 1200 units (at our retail price) to break even.
There are other companies selling cases for the Thunderbolt for $24.99 and a manufacturer as of today still selling a case for the Evo4G on Amazon for $14.99 and its in the top 100 in Amazon Sales rank for Electronics. We try very hard to be very competitive which I hope you agree with.
Thanks for your comment. Simple supply and demand economics lesson
Awesome...... I will be getting one here in the next few days. Thanks!
Bang!! The sound of my Shooter
The evo 3d tpu extended battery case is a flop.
The tpu case for the evo 3d with extended battery does not allow you to use the power on / off button and the volume up / down button. The plastic is too hard and will not work the buttons, it was poorly designed. I tried one off ebay from northmont30096 and the only way I can work the buttons is to remove the case. The phone itself as far as design is flawed by them building the buttons into the back case, not to mention its a real pain to get the back cover off and back on especially compared to the design of the evo 4g. My suggestion to anyone is wait for a true silicone case, or try the seidio case which I do believe the active case I think is designed with access to the buttons built in to the back door and not covering them. I guess until someone comes out with a true silicone case for the 3500 generic extended battery, until then factory battery and back door for me it is with a true silicone case. I would rather have a case some might say is too soft that will work the buttons than to have a hard tpu case that I have to take off to use the buttons. Just my 2 cents.

I am hoping there are some people here who know about what brands/sites are good ones or trustworthy.
Ok, picking up my Evo 3D on Friday..... and surprise surprise, the phone isn't even out yet, yet there are a million different places with brands nobody has ever heard of with supposed cases for this phone, some of them even having dimensions smaller than the phone itself despite being listed as for the 3D.... (Yes I know, no need to tell me many manufacturers will take existing stock and claim it works for the new device just to sell it).
So the thing is, I have no idea what cases might be designed specifically for the HTC Evo 3D, or even any respectable sites to buy such cases from.
But I am also sorta over-complicating the issue by not being sure if I should first over a back cover for the phone or not. See, I am not a fan of the way the camerapod sticks out, I was wondering if there were any GOOD cases that add enough bulk to essentially make the cameras level with the rest of the phone, even if this will add thickness.
Something like this, but I don't know if this really is an official HTC product or not, and if there aren't better ones (or if that is a trustworthy site):
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=28040
And this brings me to my main concern. The main case I want to get is a belt-clip holster, not just a simple little clip that attaches the phone to your belt but basically a whole pouch to hold it, something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Black-Horizontal-Leather-Magnetic-Closing/dp/B0051IGCAI
But on top of the problem I already mentioned of there being a million cases just simply calling themselves a HTC Evo 3D case... there is also the issue of how it will fit. Normally, I don't care if a case is a little too big for a phone since it will hold it anyway, but all of my previous phones didn't have sensitive parts like the camera sticking out so much before, if I were to get a case, id want one designed to hold the pushed-out camera in place too.... but that would only work if I decide not to get a case that ads bulk for the purpose of keeping the cameras flush with the back of the phone.... and if I do decide to go with a back-cover to add bulk, will those pouch-cases then even still hold the phone or will it then be too thick?
Sigh... I'm over-complicating things aren't I? So anyway, any ideas? Its a shame those back-covers that increase the size of the phone can't make use of that size, such as storing a slightly higher capacity battery or something.
That first one's badass. I wonder how much coverage you get on the front. I ordered two slide together ones (like the innocase surface, but a clone), and one super-silicone one. I like buying a bunch of different colored cases to shake things up every now and then.

where is the case with the kickstand?
I went yesterday to a sprint store and got me a otterbox commuter case. I love it. They had about 4 different kinds but none with a kickstand. They also had the car dock as well.
TPU case for me. Ordered a few weeks ago from ebay, $4 shipped.
picked up a chase from BB this morning belt clip

I got the case that Best Buy sells with a kick stand. It's 2-piece, kickstand, soft-touch, protects well. Very streamline. It costs too much ($40.00) but I had some reward points and ended up getting it for free. Love it!
Hmph, just terrific. To complicate matters, that hardshell case I posted isn't even available until July 13 apparently.... and nobody is showing that it looks like from the front...
I guess I should just at the minimum get a belt-clip pouch for now. Does anyone know of any good horizontal ones that were specifically designed for the Evo 3D instead of just general cases that roughly fit a phone of that shape?
Tpu-cases are my all time favorite case for my handheld gadget and I have had many cases for all my phones over the last 20 years. I ordered a case for my 3vo due to xda forum reviews, and a couple days ago ordered the seidio super extended battery. I have noticed the maker of the tpu cases has followed xda forums and occasionally comments. I emailed him
" Please make a case for EVO 3D w/ seidio super extended battery. I read on xda-developers that your considering it , but what is the eta? "
He replied.
"Hello,
I am considering making an extended battery case but I doubt it will be for the seidio batteries as I'm really not a fan of their products at all. Plus I think people are more inclined to buy the extended "3500mah" battery and door from china which is a different shape. Thats what the delay is, I'm trying to see which would be the best battery door to design the case around. It's possible that we may see an official solution from HTC or Sprint soon, in which case that would be the preferred door to mold around. I'll post on XDA when I have more information.
Have a good weekend!
-Clay "
If he is drawing his conclusion from our interest in seidio or the nameless Chinese battery then what is more popular?
I chose seidio because it was recommended here for my old EVO 4g, and i had bought Chinese batteries before and had been dissatisfied. If you like tpu cases , What extended battery are you getting?

Evo 3d Extended battery cases
There is a seller on eBay (moretalktime) who sells custom TPU cases for a lot of phones including the evo 3d with the extended battery.
I like tpu cases and occasionally use them. I have one from tpu-cases.com but rarely use it. Nothing wrong with the case, its great actually. I'm just a slight case whore and always buy like 15 cases for every phone i get but only use 1-3 on the regular. Anyway, my choice would be for the eBay extended battery door/battery. It is MUCH cheaper, and there are many many posts all over, including the Evo 4G forums, stating that it lasts about the same as the Seidio extended battery. That is even including people who own both of them too!! I had the eBay version for my Evo 4G and it was awesome. Not gonna buy an extended battery for my 3D though as I can go a day with my Anker battery AND use my stock door, giving me all the case options...

the best TPU case extended to design for is the one where you can BUY the external "cover" by itself.
ideally the biggest and most available. for our S2's that would be MUGEN's back cover.
why? cause then everyone who wants to use extended can all buy the same "cover" and use whatever "Battery" they wish underneath that cover.
I just thought I may as well post a little review on this case. I bought this case at the same AT&T Corp store that I bought my SGS II on Sunday.
This case has a very high quality feel to it. The fitment was incredibly tight though. This is likely because it is designed to fit both the international and AT&T SGS II devices. This should be obvious if you look at the fourth pic. It clearly shows openings for both the international and AT&T NC mic positions.
I have to be honest, I only chose this case because the Case-Mate and Ballistic options were far too bulky for my taste. This case provides enough protection, for me anyway, without adding too much bulk. I really wasn't too keen on the leather insert at first either.
In the last few days of use, I have come to really like this case. I even appreciate the leather insert. It provides a high-end feel to the case and provides for outstanding grip. The front lip barely covers the chrome bezel. I actually had to work the case to get it to completely wrap around the front of the device. The end result is a case that looks and feels like part of the phone.
At this point, I can say I highly recommend this case for anyone who doesn't need a bulky case (although they provide more protection), and who also wants something more than just a gel cover.

Thanks for this review! I am looking for something less bulky than the case-mate. I'll have to check this out when I stop in my local ATT store. How much they selling them for?
I believe it was the usual rip-off price of $35. However, they give me 20% off on accessories at this store (frequent shopper there LOL). I am sure there are better deals, but I did not want to take a chance of messing up my phone before finding a case elsewhere. I paid full retail price so a few extra bones wasn't that big of a deal.
I was planning to return it, but I can't find anything similar online. If I find it online cheaper, I will buy it and return this one for sure. Either way, I am happy enough as it is.
I just bought this case today. I love it! Its like a mix between a hard case and tpu. If you had the bodyglove case on your captivate, you'll love this case. I like the look of the leather back, as I think it adds some class. This case doesn't add that much bulk either.
That was my first choice but the store rep couldn't get it to fit properly so I went with the ballistic even In this case the phone feels tiny in my Herman Munster hands after the infuse in a ballistic case I love this phone just gotta adjust to it

I also got this case. I like it a lot, it keeps the same of the phone without adding much bulk at all!
I got this case for my AT&T Galaxy S2 on launch day and I LOVE it. The Ballistics were just ridiculous. As far as getting the case on goes, I couldn't get it to fit at first but if you put it in bottom only, completely lip it; then top, completely lip it; then work the sides, it will always fit perfectly. Sometimes I feel like Gollum caressing my precious Ring with this baby.
Picked up this case today and absolutely love it. It doesn't add much weight to the phone and i feel it still keeps it slimness. As far as fitment goes. It does fit damn tight. I put it on the best I could at the store. I squeezed the sides to get the lip to go over but never could get the bottom corners to cover properly. Once I got home, I took it back out, then put it back on in reverse. This did the trick and it went on a lot easier.
I'm probably going to end up buying this case ASAP... I was interested in it for a while, but was afraid that it may have been too bulky.
Thanks for the feedback guys!

I just picked this case up from the AT&T store today. I have to say, it isn't a bad case but it adds a little bulk to the phone. I have another case coming in from Amazon tomorrow so we will see which one is better. I am not really a fan of the buttons being covered though since it makes it a little harder to press. I can already tell that this case will offer a lot of protection to any standard drop.
This is a great case!! been having it since Monday.
One thing to note is that if you are getting a discount on your cell phone plan you should also get that same discount on any accessories that you buy from AT&T.
I too chose this case with my purchase. it was the best of the lot,but I cannot keep this case. it just does not fit. I get 50% accessories on my plan. I went back to a store (not the one I got it from) thinking that they might have others. When I told the rep about the fit she said they are having returns for the same reasons. Found one that seem better on ebay waiting for it to come in. In the mean time I will kee this case to protect my baby, but will return within 30 days.
On another note anyone got the ivisor AG screen protector? not sure i am liking it. It seem to make my screen dim because of the non-glare, cant seem to find any good one on the net, they all seem to be for the international version. things are new so I will wait a bit.

What problems are you having with fitment? While it does take a little bit to get it on right, it should still fit. I had problems with the bottom corners until I took it out then put in back on, starting on the opposite end.

The one I ordered and received from Amazon covers only the volume u/d buttons and has a cutout for the sleep/power button. I can press the power button just fine. I like this case better than the AGF from AT&T. It doesn't add a lot of bulk to the phone and was almost 1/3 the price so I will return it after work.

That one doesn't look bad. I see they made a large cut out where the power button goes. Don't really care for that big cutout but to each his own. Mine has actually become a lot easier over the last day or so. I guess the compound loosens up over time.
Just got my GS2 today and bought this case at the same time. I wanted something sleek after a Ballistic case on my Infuse and this seemed perfect.
As others have stated it's a tight fit. The sales rep couldn't get it on completely so I had to play with it myself. Another post stated putting bottom and top on first. I had better luck with the sides first. Maybe it is just loosening up after trying 2-3 times to get it on.
The volume and power buttons being covered are going to take getting used to as it takes a good press to work them.
To sum up, love the case so far. Seems to be good quality and good protection.
I tried this case on yesterday and did not like the fit. The ATT store only had one so I am going to try a few more to see if they fit better. It was tight and I couldn't keep the lip over the edges all the way around no matter how hard I tried.

Just got my Seidio Active Holster Combo. So far I really like it. All the buttons work with minimal effort. Phone still feels really thin. A least now I feel like I have something to hold on to. The camera is recessed. They did get rid of the extra locking mechanism on the spring clip. I never used it anyway on my previous holsters.
Not sure if I like the kickstand or not. Quality is not as good as the oem kickstand, but it works well. (I really missed having one on my rugged case) Its retained in by a small magnet in the lever and a spring pushes the lever out when you pull on it. Its a lot easier to pull out that the oem kickstand.
I added a few pics of my wife's active and my rugged (i think its called convert now) on our OG Evo's for comparison.
One word of warning though with the spring clip holsters. Be aware of things that will catch the spring clip and release your phone. A seat belt sent my og evo cartwheeling down a drive way when I got out of my truck.
Otherwise I think the seidio cases are the best I've used if you want a case holster combo. If you don't like having a holster, there may be better cases for the money.
Hopefully this helps someone else if their on the fence on what case to get.
Thanks for the pics, will it sit with the charging port on top with the case kickstand like the built-in one?
Nope It wont stay up on the kickstand with the charge port up. That's one of the only things that seem to annoy me with the LTE is the charge port on the side. I guess I will get use to it.
I was afraid of that. I love the Active case and holster on my OG Evo, too bad they covered the kickstand on this one. I bought a TPU case 'cause it didn't look like the kickstand on the Active case would hold it with the port up for charging but I was hoping to upgrade if it did.
If they would have left the oe kickstand accessible I would have bought this in a heart beat. I ordered the ventev combo for $14 shipped still waiting for it to arrive will update when I get it.

That's a great price. A lot less than the seidio. looks pretty nice too. Should be a great case. I have always had the seidio cases and been happy with them. Also they were the only ones shipping at the time I ordered. I wanted to have the case before I go back to work tomorrow. I dropped TEP a while back, so a case is my insurance. Someone else was talking about that on a thread for the best buy case. I don't have that issue at all. I tried wiggling the phone in the holster and pulling it in and out. Could not get it to shut off. I did notice that on the holster at the end of the model number there is a 2. Also on the underside of the clip there is a cutout/recessed portion to clear the power button. here's a pic. Maybe you guys can exchange it for the newer revision. Also I love this camera. Could never get a detail shot like this on the old evo.

Looks like Seidio has redesigned the Active case:
http://www.seidioonline.com/htc-evo-4g-lte-active-case-black-p/csk3htjet-bk.htm
Of course, the "re"-design is really the way it should've been to begin with. Not sure why they couldn't get it right the first time. I'm kinda pissed because I wouldn't have bought the Surface case if this were available at the time of the LTE's launch. Now I want the Active but I'll have a useless Surface case - too late to return and probably not worth selling on eBay.

I've never had a Otterbox so its hard for me to compare. But based on looks and most reviews I have seen. I'm not sure if you can go wrong with ether. I do like the look of the defender. Fit and finish looks real nice. Not sure if I like the built in screen protector. ( I'm picky about screen protectors) The holster looks interesting. Might have to try one out some day.
This is my fifth phone with a Seidio case. What always swayed me toward seidio before was some of their other accessories that works with their cases. Like the desktop cradle, car dock and extended battery.(Extended battery is off the table with the LTE) When I got my LTE there wasn't much to choose from and there wasn't a release date yet for the otterbox.
If I were going to pick a case today and I didn't care about a desktop cradle or car dock I would go with the otterbox. Since I wanted these things I went with seidio. I know seidio is releasing a cradle soon an I'm still hoping for a seidio car dock to be released.
I've been pouring through pages and pages over Amazon and eBay, hoping to find good cases and screen protectors, or a Wireless charger upgrade for our phone but the results are just sad.
This is such a gorgeous phone, I'm surprised there are so few accessory manufacturers making products for it.
Yes, there are a lot of vendors, but most of them re-sale the same stuff in different packaging.
I was hoping to get an Outter Box case for this phone, but it doesn't even exist, so found some 3rd party similar to Outter Box, I hope it works, it's still in the mail
The Incipio case is nice, but the color choices are so dull...
Screen protectors, went through a few already, none of them fits 100%, still hunting for a better fitment.
Last I hope they will make some sort of wireless Qi charging for our phone.
Many other models of phones has had the Qi upgrade, that you install either inside the phone, or outside and connects to the USB port, ugly but at least it works.
I'd prefer to see one in which we can install inside the battery compartment.
The lack of accessory support for our phone is annoying, makes it feel incomplete.

yup, i picked up the a couple of "HTC QC 3.0 Powerbank USB Type-C"
http://www.htc.com/ca/accessories/htc-qc-3-powerbank-c/
I compared them to aftermarket QC3 power packs, and the HTC ones are the best bang for the buck, especially at the current sale prices.
At least you know they'll be using quality battery inside, and not some poor quality battery when you buy aftermarket power packs.
They look like Anker powerbanks...
Yep, it sucks. I emailed OtterBox and they said they're not making cases for it. I picked up the LK one on Amazon to get me by. Supposedly Seidio is going to make one. I might send the phone back, it's a little big for my liking, plus the lack of a heavy duty case.

Those were the closest I can find that offer similar protection like OtterBox cases.

Yep, it sucks. I emailed OtterBox and they said they're not making cases for it. I picked up the LK one on Amazon to get me by. Supposedly Seidio is going to make one. I might send the phone back, it's a little big for my liking, plus the lack of a heavy duty case.

Spigen makes great quality cases, they have done all of the other HTC phones I think they will make more the U11 as well.
Their dual TPU/hard case was on my M8 for 2 years protected against every fall!

For the best screen protector try Brando Workshop Ultra-Clear. Fits great with no haloes just like in tempered glass ones.
