Hi, I was on Stock 2.3.3 then I flashed wolf's rom and my battery started draining :-(
Now I am back to stock via repair using PCC but the problem still persists... :-(
I need to charge two times a day if I m using my phone continuously... Previously it used to last one day...
Need suggestions on how to improve the battery.... Should I go back to 2.1 and then update it again to 2.3.3 ???
Or any other solution... I am on Stock 2.3.3 at the moment..

Calibrate it using battery calibration mate.
Fully charge and calibrate it, then use it till fully discharged, and fully charge again.

I never calibrated my battery. I guess what u missed was wiping battery stats before flashing wolf's rom. (he didnt mention this step in the installation procedure as its not mandatory) but this makes a difference I believe. I think u can have one more try. If your stock Rom is already rooted then flash wolf's rom again (or else u might have to go back to 2.1 and root it and flash wolf's rom). Now before u flashing wolf's rom, wipe ur battery stats just before selecting the custom zip (actual rom file). Good luck (PS: I'm on wolf's rom and I'm a heavy used - bluetooth head set on almost 10 - 12 hrs a day and wifi on almost 12 - 16 hrs a day and I usually gets over a day and I'm not using any custom kernels)

I am also somehow hates the battery calibaration method it appears that it takes more from a battery then to give it lol..

Hi,
Give some more details,
On wich ROM are you, official or customised ?
Task killer app ?
Always the same problem with this phone or new problem ?
If you've installed the new custom kernels, then battery drain is normal..also did you do a clean install of the rom? If yes, did you restore the apps and data.?
As I said I'm running wolfbreaks rom. I have already done a fresh installation of the rom. I have restored apps and data using mybackup root. I am not running any costum kernels. Any help is appreciated thanks guys.

Wipe dalvik cache and reset battery stats, that could help
There is a known issue, stated on Wolfbreaks thread about the ROM, it says that if you have this problem..
Make a full fresh reinstall of 2.1 trought Sony Ericsson Update Service and then after that my ROM and dont restore your Data in 2.1 or my ROM. Make a fresh install and if thats done you can restore Data with Flashtool Method i described or with MyBackupRoot/Titanium

I use the Cyanogen 6.1.3 & have no issues at al, maybe you should callebrate your battery every once in a while!
Have you updated Wolf's ROM to V06? Since I updated the phone is flying! Very fast and smooth and battery seems to last much longer
reflash the phone (or recover using xRecovery) to 2.1
then reboot back to xRecovery, wipe everything in order as written in the instructions.
flash base rom (v05), reboot, login to the market and let it settle.
then install the update v06, flash in the new market, then reboot.
apart from doing the correct steps, it is also important to calibrate your battery, which you can find apps from the market to do so.
Some time ago, I was using WB 4.0.4 with Doom's kernel v4 (the uc/oc version). Battery life was nothing less than excellent, 4-5 days (no wifi, 3G and GPS ofc)!
About 2-3 days ago, I unlocked my bootloader (using this excellent guide), flashed v5 of WB's rom, and Doomlords kernel for unlocked bootloaders (uc/oc version).
This version is better as it includes the sms app (was lost in v4.0.4) and some more nice things, but the battery drain... Battery doesn't last 24h (idle, no wifi/3G/gps).
I tried to wipe my Dalvik cache and battery stats, but that doesn't help...
This morning, I flashed v6 of WB's rom, but that doesn't fix the battery drain...
Is there anything I can do to fix the battery drain?
Maybe I better go back to v4.0.4 and the previous version of Doomlords kernel, but that one was made foor locked bootloaders... Can I get it locked again?
Or should I install the rom without keeping my data?
Install latest (stock) Doomkernel. It has proper deepsleep.

Thanks. Just flashed Dooms v05 kernel (uc/oc version). Will report tomorrow if that works.
I will also take a look at this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943626
Update: Battery drain seems to be fixed. Thanks!
Hello SGS2 users! Has anyone experienced this problem before?
I was originally running VK 5.1.2 without a problem then I flashed RR 2.5.3; didn't really like the theme then I came across PFittech ROM GTX which I thought "Wow!".
After flashing, I noticed that when the screen went off and locked, it won't wake and I need to pull battery and reboot.
As you may know that is extremely inconvenient so I flashed stock rom and went back to VK 5.1.2 but this hasn't stopped the problem
I have done all the wipes (cache, dalvik, factory/data and format system!

Ur having SOD, sleep of death... when ur phone enters deepsleep it wont get up.
this is frequently related with UV, or poor bus freq.
u should flash a kernel cleaner like this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1363738
or any other. then u have to flash a new kernal.
Thanks mate! Will try this now
Still there
Firstly, I flashed stock firmware, then I flashed cf-root. Went into recovery and done a full wipe and flashed the script.
I done another wipe then installed VK Rom (I have never had a problem with this) and left the phone for 30 secs on screen off and it came back.
What should I do next?
Should I check all settings for CPU and GPU? Revert them to standard? I don't touch those settings as I don't have a great knowledge of changing volts and clock speeds.
Maybe you could let it on stock (unrooted) and see if it happens again...

I flashed the stock LPB firmware and used it for a full day and I never experience any SoD. Tried a few custom roms and still having the error.
Although there may seem there is nothing wrong with the phone, I have never had a problem with any roms I use. All the roms I am trying are previous downloads that have worked successfully so I doubt there is any corruption.
I won't be giving up and I will be trying everything and anything... the now I am going to try Gingerbread based roms and see if I still get the error. If anyone else has any more ideas please tell me.

Can i suggest u to use rootbox ics?? Is almost flawless and i thinkbu wont have any problem
If u still getting sod u could try giving a little more voltage to ur cpu or bus...if u use fluxi with this rom is very easy to do that

Im a first time root user i flashed RR 2.5.3 with fluxi kernel over my stock ics its running very smoth and had no problem so far
You might need to check your cpu frequency i read her that if it was set to less than 200Mhz you might have the sleep of death issue

Thats is pretty wierd...had u made a full wipe installation??? No one had any issue like that
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I always do a full wipe but today I've seen something unusual.
Kernel Panic Upload Mode came up when the phone was off?
I am flashing back to GB and see if any SoD appear.
Mate, there is something wierd with ur phone...
There sure is.. I am running KI3 GB with CF Root and not received any SoD. Seems to be only on custom roms?
Good news! I fixed it!
What I did:
First of all, I had an extended battery and I swapped it for the old battery (Because of case with stand it won't fit)
Flashed stock GB (XXKI3)
Flashed CF-Root KI3
Full Wipe (Cache, Factory/Data, Dalvik, Battery stats)
Format System
Flashed Kernel Cleaner
Flashed VK 5.1.2
Flashed Siyah 3.3.2
So after doing all this, the SoD has gone. So it must be a problem with Fluxi on my device.
I may be wrong but after doing this the problem stopped and I am happy again
So thank you to you all who tried to help!
I have the same problem, except my SOD also has high battery drain even though the phone is pretty much useless. Very annoying when you are relying on the alarm clock. Did you also notice high battery drain?
I found it happened on Thebyani 4.3, not on 4.4, and now it happened on 4.5. Im hoping the kernel cleaner and the latest Siyah kernel will fix it. Any kernels you guys recommend if it still happens?

well gr8 then mate!
Q: could u ever tryed giving some more voltage to cpu in fluxi?
I had a high battery drain already abd i bought a new extended battery. I am charging the device the now and it has heated but i took it off and turn it off to cool. I am going to recalibrate the battey
Try doing what I did to see if it helps.
Flash a stock unrooted firmare and see if you still get SoD
Ive been using my phone since i posted and not had one SoD.
Do you mess with your freqs? Try keeping them to basic

I've heard phones needing battery calibration because the phone might show 100% charged at a lower level.
My problem is a little different...I installed stock ics rom with thilinac's ics kernel (I've used it before, always worked perfectly) but the battery reading is stuck at 100%. I've tried almost everything but of no use, the battery reading doesnt changes
I switched off the phone, left it to charge for 2 hrs, switched on and calibrated battery to 100% but it still doesnt changes.
I tried performing a clean install (wiped everything-except sdcard) and reinstalled the rom but it still doesnt works.
This Ics stock rom had worked without problems with thilinac's ics kernel. Before this I was on mastero9017's moProject42 rom (based on CM10.1)
Please tell me how to get this battery status working again

No need to root again. Since the boot loader is unlocked, you can flash any kernel straightaway. No need to do those steps again. Flash stock ftf... Let it settle and flash the associated kernel for your desired ROM.
Don't forget to hit thanks.

That worked...I was earlier using moAOKP rom(4.1.2) Wiping all data and flashing stock rom didn't work...
What worked for me is..I flashed the moAOKP rom again (the battery status was fine again) I flashed a different kernel and wiped the battery stats still having moAOKP and then did a full wipe. Flashed the stock kernel and then the stock firmware and battery status was again working
Dear All,
I am having Xperia Pro MK16i
I am having problem in battery percentage output shown by android system, after flushing custom kernal which is supplied with legacyXPERIA CM11 rom (no issue at this time) and than I return back to stock ICS kernal, the battery is showing always 100%. Even if I connect charger it shows me charged.
Before flushing legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal, I have tired so many different custom kernal but, I like CM10, 10.1, NaA 3.4.0 kernal and return back to stock ICS, I was not having this issue any time.
For recovery of this issue I have tried to flush again the legacyXPERIA CM11 kernal (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will agnain show battery 100%. Than I tried to flush jush my backuped stock GB rom (it will show the correct battery percentage) and get back to stock ICS will show correct battery percentage.
Also the important thing it that, I found that this problem is happening every time i remove the battery.
If any one can help me, please give your suggestions what to do.
Thanks in advance
@chiragvagh it's because of frequent ROM flashing. Flash stock ftf, give it a full charge, calibrate the battery and then reflash your desired ROM.

Only thing helped me is changing the kernel - try anything except stock kernel. Hope this helps you
