Does anybody know an app for measuring time that a car needs to accelerate from 0 to 100kph (or 0-60mph) based on GPS data and would not only show the time it made, but also a speed progress each second written into a graph?
Thanks a lot!
You want TORQUE ... Get the paid version. Works with bluetooth OBD2 scanners.
Thanks, but I don't have na OBD2 control unit.
You can get a cheap obd2 adapter from Ebay for about $20. I have one and it can be finicky at times but it works.
Edit: What do you mean you don't have an obd2 control unit. What car do you have? Every car built from 1996 has an obd2 port.

Yup, tried this one. As far as I know it doesn't log the speed into a graph.
Try Dynomaster in the market. It is $4.99 but i have used it and it works well.

I don't know if it logs the graph, but Torque does have GPS speed and Acceleration from the phones' accelerometer as well as data logging.

I'll try the Torque and Dynomaster. Thanks for the tip!

Yea, I tried aDyno but it's kind of weird. Surprisingly it doesn't use accelerometer for measuring acceleration. It measures how much the car rolls backwards while accelerating to measure the actual acceleration which is very weird...

Lol... That's an uneducated statement. I have an 02' VW Jetta putting down 417lb/ft of torque and 321HP... Much faster than most any car around me. That being said; what would make someone think that a Honda Accord can't be fast? Those motors are bullet proof...
HI. I had the same problem. Try Dynomaster. Maybe a little expensive but It uses GPS, makes graphics, extremelly customisable and comes with great options.

I'm wondering how well it plays with our Evos. There is also an android app released for it.
Yep we sell em at best buy all the time and I was able to snag one with accomedations through my job. Its amazing how easy it works and you can stream right off your hard drive to your phone. Just turn it on, creates its own hotspot and you connect to it. Its great.

that's great, the comments I've been reading on Amazon are generally negative, they all complain how the iOS app is nothing but a giant alphabetical list of all the music and other media, not divided into albums or artists etc.
How good is the Android app? I'm mainly interested in stock music and video apps on Evo, can they connect to this drive seamlessly and fluently? Does it appear like a network server to them?
well download the app and get a work around it. The interface isn't as clean as I'd like, but it gets the job done. You actually turn it on and then connect to it through your networks settings like your connecting to a network. With most things it'll download for a second to stream but then play right off the hard drive.

Saw it the other day and realized that with real use, the battery is probably going to be toast in under 3 hours....
i just got one of these. the battery lasts pretty well so far. the best thing about it by miles though is that it's built from a tiny linux server running on an omap3 cpu.
you know what that means right?
i'll give you a clue.

I had one of these for exactly one day. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would not. At the time I was using an Acer tablet that had a USB port, so I didnt really need it anyway.
But I will say that it worked horribly for me.

can you post a link of the converters or cables u used? i got an extra rca input on my screen and i like your idea. think i may just do a HDMI hack, and run an hdmi and chargin cable to tuck my phone away. try to save on some cash, plus with some of the bumps and stuff i hit with my truck, the phone may pop out of the dock lol
im just dreaming, but the touch screen part doesnt work, just acts like a display, correct? not too long from now they will probably start making decks/screens with phone hookups, that will be the day i can sleep in peace lol
So this week I've discovered a hidden feature on my Rezound: it doubles as a portable pocket burner. Not sure if that is too be expected (having read through the other battery threads, it seems that 120°F is typical eye-bulge territory), but if it happens again i'll probably start the replacement phone process.
This happened off charger, just playing a high quality graphics game for 20 minutes.
Just seems a bit high to me, but any further insight is welcome. (as a comparison i've read on the Galaxy Nexus forums that a few folks are getting ancy at around the 120°F mark as well).
Maybe the Rezound is just has a poor design in reference to heat dissipation? Maybe I have a defect? I can live with it, so long as I know its not that big of a deal. I'd like to avoid waking up next to a phone shaped melt hole on my night stand.
Did you try frying any bacon or eggs on the screen?
Phone would triple as a portable skillet! Lol

If I remember correctly, I was using the new Onlive app for the temp in my OP (but it gets north of 125°F commonly on normal games). If you (or anyone else reading this) have that app, would you mind running it for few minutes & reporting back? It wouldn't surprise me if it played a role in tipping the temp over the edge (Onlive is a magical service // magic = power).

^^ Nice. This is what we all need to know. Can you do something fancy / intensive w/ your replacement phone for a few minutes and see if you can get it into bacon mode again? (gaming or streaming w/ 4G enabled, etc).
If we can confirm that "hot phone" is somehow a hardware issue, its warranty time.

I was looking at the Galaxy Nexus threads and saw this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_--zcmqIyRI and decided I would try it out on the Note. I did this on my Evo when I had one so this isn't a new idea but I kind like it. This isn't an in depth video, it just shows you how it works with what I have working with it. The commands that the Nexus user can use with his keyboard I couldn't get to work with the Note. Not sure if its an ICS thing or what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=laUNz7QJ9Wo&feature=youtu.be
I too have been playing around with this and it is a pretty novel idea. It isn't 100% there yet in terms of being a setup I could use full time, but it does let me travel without my laptop and plug in to a hotel TV.

I just found an old Bluetooth Virtual Keyboard (it's a small black box that you set on a table, and it projects a full-sized keyboard onto whatever flat surface it's sitting on using a laser) I used to use with my Windows Mobile 2003 PDA and tried to pair it with my Note today. It works flawlessly! This thing hasn't worked with any of my devices since WinMo 5, and even then it usually required a driver to be installed. Not with the Note! Just need to be sure I have the Samsung Keyboard selected (but it doesn't need to be open). I just keep getting more and more excited about this thing (except for the dark splotches on my display and low Quadrant scores).
Ok this is neat for traveling. Anyone know what cable we need to connect to the lcd monitor?

You have to have the MHL to HDMI adapter for it to work. I got mine on Amazon for $22 including shipping and got it within 5 days. Then of course a bluetooth keyboard and mouse..works good. Does your monitor have HDMI?
Edit: If your traveling I'm sure the tv might have an HDMI...unless you stay in a Days Inn as I do..

Agreed. This is what I would have suggested.
Seeing as I have a half dozen old sets of ear buds lying around I will attempt this method.
Supposably you can switch back to the phone speaker after the headphone jack is in... Will post results later.

I just plug in my headphones so I have an antenna and then change the output to speaker. Not sure why you would want to bypass. Reception will be worse without some kind of antenna.

Sprint GN3 has real FM ?? !
Gee, nobody told me, and I haven't noticed the last month; been too busy with taxes and my Spirit2 app...
On rooted phones, my Spirit FM app can work without headset, but some phones/FM chips are better than others with no FM antenna. Metal phones like HTC One are impossible, but GT-I9300 and International Note2 are decent, with the Silicon Labs FM chip.
Anybody know if the FM chip if the Broadcom FM/BT/WiFi combo chip ? Or Silicon Labs like the older International S/Note class devices ? I'd bet on Broadcom, after they magically re-enabled the FM antenna pin connections to headset jack.
