I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini.
With a custom rom MiniCM7.
I have that rom for quite some time and liked it a lot.
Although today my apps that I installed are all gone.
Also the market place.
I tried to reinstall the market place but it doesnt appears.
When I look at my app list I see the app "com.android.vending" what is the market place if I am right.
Although I can't unstall it or open it (it also doesnt display the market icon).
How can I unstall or reinstall the market.
Please help, my phone is nothing without apps
Thanks for advance!
When I reboot my phone in recovery.
I can go to "backup and restore".
Then I click on "Advance Restore".
Then I press on the date when I installed my custom rom.
I have the following options:
Restore boot
Restore system
Restore data
Restore cache
Restore sd-ext
Will one of those restores help to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Is it possible that you switched SD card? Maybe all the apps were moved there automatically by Cyanogen?
Thanks for response both!

Well how will I be able to get root explorer without the market on my mobile?
I downloaded the market .apk file.
When I open it my phone is going to reboot (happens at the moment he tries to install it).
Also for the root explorer you need to pay, is there also some free one?
Or is it also able to do it from my PC (while my mobile is connected with USB)?

I haven't switched from SD card since I using the custom rom.
When I look at the application list and search for "com.android.vending" i see it with a dark gray android icon (not the market icon).
Within that icon also at the bottom right a smaller icon with standing "SD" on.
The application takes 204kB.
With a Cache of 4.99Mb that I cant clear.
I already tried to put my SD card out and in again.
Although my SD card seems to work fine, I can find all my pictures, music, etc on it.
EDIT:
I seem to still have version: MiniCM7-2.1.1
While there is already a version: MiniCM7-2.1.4
Would it solve the problem if I update the version by using the recovery?
So also again a "wipe data/factory reset".
Then "apply update from sdcard".
And after that Flash gapps.
Will this maybe solve the poblem?
Alright I solved it.
I updated the kernel from nAa-3 to nAa-6.
I also updated the ROM from CM7-2.1.1 to CM7-2.1.4 into recovery (so also "wipe data/factory reset").
And then it all was solved.
I want to thank you two guys for your time, and yes I pressed the thanks button at both of u
Greetings,
Jan2426
I had exactly the same problem, apparently CM moved all my apps to SD with me asking. It does so automatically.. See my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361073
I just can find anything that will work for me, tried everything, but it appears that GingerDX 12 is the most stable and fastest for me.
With all due respect to the developers, sometimes it seems that with every new release about the same amount of bugs are introduced as fixed..
Glad you got eyerything running...
Anyways Here's the direct link for root explorer and its free :

Hello,
i'm trying to reply in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854&page=6888
but i cant because i'm new to XDA.
i installed the rom with xperia launcher, everything seems to be working except the clock, wich always crashes (tried already moving back and forth cm10 kernels and roms, full data/dalvik/cache wipes) and it just wont work (cant' set alarms etc) this is really stopping me from using this mod :X
thanks in advance

try this for now and see
1)go to system settings > apps
2) under All tab find the clock app and clear data/cache of the same
3) reboot to recovery and under advance option do fixpermission.
4) reboot to system and then check for clock issue

Hi Friends,
I recently rooted my x10i with the help of the xda-developers.com. Now my phone does not hang that much, thanks to everyone. The problem I created is, I removed all stock apps in my x10i such as the wisepilot, timescape etc., I also removed facebook app and all files related to facebook (thinking of installing it fresh from the market). But now after installing facebook from market, it doesn't work. It says katana.facebook something force closed. I also tried with other market apps for facebook, Please help regarding this....
And another problem is my bluetooth doesn't turn on, I am switching it on...it says turning on bluetooth, but never turns on....
Do help me...

Download official Facebook app.
Go to settings/applications/all apps/Bluetooth/ press "clear data"
It should be fine, if it didn't helped try blue FTP app from market.
Last solution is flashing stock frimware (as you said "deleted some apps", so factory reset won't work properly)

You are kidding or you can't really fix?
1-download flashtools (must have app)
2-download stock firmware .ftf
3-Place it at flashtools folder
C:/flashtools/"firmware "
(If firmware is in zip format rename it's extension to ftf)
4-run flashtools
5-click on lightning button then select flash mode
6-Press next button & follow instructions for flashing frimware

Ya, I got it.....
Actually the problem was, in the procedure it said " hold your back button and insert the cable immediately after switching on the mobile" that is where i missed(forgot) it.... Now solved it.....
Now, facebook & bluetooth working fine.....
In the beginning (that is after flashing), mobile is fast and smooth....but after i finished installing all the apps I needed, it once again started to lag....
Is there any solution for this.....

You must NOT disable all auto-start apps, just stop the ones you installed & not system apps (do not stop Facebook because it can't update when stopped )

Hi, I posted another thread asking for stable ROM for my x10, some said that DONUT HD is a good ROM, can you please help me in changing to this ROM(the basics)...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574185
Just install a cwm recovery.& place Donald HD in sdcard
Then boot to recovery, press backup & restore/backup then wait for recovery to finish with creating backup point
then go to main screen of recovery & press full wipe /factory reset (contacts , SMS , calendar entries ,save of apps & games will delete so create backups)
Then press install zip
Navigate to where you placed the rom & click to install
That's it , enjoy.
PS,do not remove backup in clock work mod folder of your SD, & copy it to your PC, just in case anything goes wrong you can easily switch to stock.

Hi,
Appreciate the reply. However I already have this app on my phone. Though how's this gonna help me is beyond my understanding. I reckon you missed out an important detail in my trailing post. I am trying to install the app by connecting my phone to my laptop via USB and it fails to install. The error is displayed on the laptop and not on my phone.
I hope I have made my issue clear or am I missing something here.

are you trying to say...you open the playstore !!! then u select the app to be installed!!! it says it will be downloaded and nothing happens ?? is that the problem ?? or why are u connecting it to thw lappie ??or are you using pc net in ur mobile through usb !!?
I am not using playstore at all. I just have it in my phone. I have my phone connected via USB to my laptop which has an internet connection. My phone has an independent internet connection as well. Both are working at this point. I access play.google.com from my laptop and I try to install the app onto my phone via USB. It should get installed is what I am saying but it isn't.
Cheers
Is ur phone connected to internet?
Because... The it works... Click install on ur pc... It will say it will install app soon..
Once you connect ur phone to internet... It will pick app the list apps to be installed and install them accordingly..
One more thing... Verify the phone list... Whether your phone is listed and it i s currently pointed to in ur pc... Also verify the compatibility...
If nothing works... Go to cwm n wipe cache, dalvik cache n fix permissions n reboot then try....

I thought your phone is rooted and you have problem with Custom ROM.
CWM is a custom recovery used to perform few custom functionalities like flashing custom ROMS and formatting partitions etc... Installing a custom recovery in your phone will void your warranty and involves risk of bricking of your device if you dont install it properly.
As you dont have recovery, you wont be able to wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions etc... I am not sure if it resolves the issue as well.
So SKIP that step.
Are you using same GMAIL ID's in your browser and your phone?

Wow!! Warranty void!!! Better stay away from it then,eh. Having said that, I have got another thread going on somewhere in the forum for installing a Galaxy S4 launcher. Would that render my warranty void as well??
