I know that CM7 currently does not support hardware acceleration(video codec/playback for some videos),the sensors/accelerometers aren't fully sensitive enough to play most games, and none of the flashlight apps can turn on the camera LED...
There are some other ASOP or CM7 based roms floating around both on XDA and rootzwiki...Do any of those have all of the above mentioned issues fixed yet? The op's for some of them say "fully functional hardware" or something similar in a post...but no one has elaborated as to these particular issues...I know the low in-call volume was fixed in the newest beta of Glitch kernel..and also..jt continues to update and work on his stuff..
Anyone on the other CM7 based roms out there.... do you still have these issues...cause if there is a rom (other than TW) that has all of these working correctly...I would like to know which rom/kernel combination it is...thanks

Many developers tried to deblur stock ROM on the Atrix and always ran into problems. Blur is very deeply integrated, meaning it's easier to compile an AOSP rom than deblur the official rom. And that's exactly what developers are doing at the moment.
See the CM7 thread.
On so many levels I can't wait to see the final "official" version of CM7 and compare it to the stock...
The biggest problem with Blur is that it is all the way down into the framework and if you start removing stuff, some of the "markers" will be broken. AOSP is the best way to deBlur but until then you can always install a semi deblurred custom ROM and freeze what you don't need. That's what I've done and in day to day tasks it feels like an AOSP ROM (sorta). Unless you drill down into settings, you wouldn't know my phone was running Blur at all.
oh... interesting. I guess I'll wait for CM7
I just flashed MIUI ICS 1.11.9 on my SGS2 and it's quite awesome. Just a few doubts. Firstly what's the difference, other than the framework, btw the stable 2.10.21 and the ICS 1.11.9? I used both and found absolutely no diff other then the strength of the haptic feedback. lol.
Also any feedback on this ROM, your experiences are welcome and I love to know any tip n tricks.
I am currently on the stock kernel that came with the ROM, could someone suggest a better kernel for speed and battery life. I've seen a lot of ppl use Siyah but it seems a little complicated. I loved speedmod but I hear it won't work with CM& or MIUI..
Finally, all apps have and option to run in compatibility mode, which is on by default. Should I leave it this way or turn this off?
MIUI is great, however, I didn't like the part where it doesn't allow you to use multiple phone books with multiple gmail accounts.
You can feel free to use any kernel that works with Cyanogenmod 7. I however recommend the default kernel. As for battery, you can use Juice Defender or something similar, works wonders.
LED Notifications issue!
I can't seem to get LED pulse notifications to work on Galnet MIUI ICS 1.11.9 or stable 2.10.21? Can someone help me out here?
The 'stable' galnet ones have all the Galnet fixes, optimizations and speedtweaks, installed. The weekly release has only some minor speed improvements.
Some things i would love to see implemented into a aosp rom
- touchwiz clear ui
- audio mods
- power button mods
- camera mods (high fps/mbit recording)
- deleting all hub etc crap
do you guys have any ideas?

CM9 or AOKP with all the touchwiz goodies!
@ both posts above
aosp will never have any parts of touchwiz, that has been the case in the past but now we are getting some good features in touchwiz package so lets what developers decide.....
I want Darky to get his hands on 1 and write stuff :].
Voodoo sound engine
And just Root, to delete TouchWiz for LauncherPro or Zeam.
MIUI (2.3.7 build, features are better and more compatible).
Stock Mod (Bloat removed, update kernel I assume it will be Sense 4.0 considering the timing).
CM9 depending (or CM7 something more stable).
You can tell I'm leaning towards older builds for the simple fact it's more stable than any ICS releases for obvious reasons. I figure it will come around as time goes on but as for now I think the forums are full of garbage, the quality of what's released has gone way down hill and I understand that not everything is over night perfection but in the same turn why release faulty development when there's no way to correct the problems (like camera, network, USB etc.)
I'm not bashing anyone's work so don't take offense if you think I'm pointing fingers, I think that all the hype around ICS has everyone jumping through hoops to get something on the forums that just doesn't hold up to the standard that everyone wants credit for.
For sure voodoo sound

Is it possible to add the CM9 Incall screen and the Incoming call screen's to a non CM9 build? I love CM9 for these 2 things alone, but can they alone be ported to run on a "stock" build?
I know there are playstore apps that "mimic" this to a degree, but they all fail in some way or another. Like when call waiting clicks in etc...
It's probably possible to do this, but not likely at all that anyone would take the time to get it to work.
There are theme options that can mimic it to a degree, but as you have experienced, they can only go but so far.
If you like the CM9 experience, why not just flash CM9?
If ur on ics rom then no its not possible..ics is no where near cm9 any mods u try from ics to cm9 will bootloop or just not work!

Hey, my problem i have isn't´t that big but i still searched for any solution but couldn't´t find something (If you wanna skip the not that important part you can skip the next paragraph ).
I´m planning to give my device to a (female) friend i have and therefore the phone should work no matter which function she wants to use.
So I installed SlimSaber (i´m not sure if I should feel bad for not using SlimKat ) and it is perfectly working fine. Especially the Dark Theme is nice and the battery usage is around 10 hours at medium to high usage. Only Problem which is bothering me is the Camcorder of custom roms. When recording something the camcorder always is zoomed in and there is no way to zoom out (guess this problem is well known? didn´t find much about aosp camera though...)
Well i´d like to know if there is any fix for the stock aosp camcorder with zoom bug. Using third party camcorders without zoom freezes my phone and i need to restart in order to get camera working again.
If there isn't any fix or a possibility to get around this there is another question
Is there any modified Samsung rom which is looking like aosp ui? and if not is there maybe a dark skinned Touchwiz ui available. I searched for stuff like that but i really can´t find anything.
Best solution would be to get a camera fix though...
Thanks in Advance
