[Q] ROMs for Galaxy ACE - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi Guys,
I have recently bought Galaxy ACE and battery seems horrible. I tried many options even disabled WIFI and data , but there is no battery improvement.
I want to install some good custom ROM which can improve battery and performance.
I am not able to find any thread mentioning all ROMS available for GALAXY ace.
Guys, please recommend which ROM I can install for my ACE.

Damn it not another one. Read the rom thread and make decisions, unless you admit you have no capacity to judge and decide.

Tweak: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223830
Apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16828743&postcount=11
This is my personal taste, which works good for me.
If you want to adjust it to your own needs start to read the threads posted on the dev section.

Man, its raining trolls
Try GingerReal v1.1 or any ROM with CF-Root and then enable the CPU Conservation Gov. mode..
BTW, what was your phone before SGA? If its a non-smartphone lemme tell you that you couldn't really expect much from the battery of a smartphone.
That, plus Ace's battery capacity is quite small, 1350MAh. So you'd better get used to it.

Well, at first sight this seems to be a rather staightforward question with an obvious answer at hand. But if you dig deeper, than you'll find it more difficult to choose among the various possibilities. Here are some hints.
A. Roms
(1) Stock rom from Samsung (newest version is currently 2.3.6).
As far as I can tell and reading about other users experiences, it has the best battery running time. And performance wise I can't tell any disadvantage or lag either.
(2) Roms based on Ketuts kernel found in CF-Root.
(2.a) CF-Root b82 version and below
The system performance regarding battery and lag should be the same, because the kernels are stock (by Samsung) ones. But in reality the modder of the rom package may have used some scripting tweaks (init.d) or heavily themed the look. It may make the battery running time and/or the responsiveness of the system better or worse. But any modifications also bring the risk for bugs (wlan, sim-toolkit, ...).You should skip through the corresponding thread and find out.
(2.b) CF-Root b82.ex version and up
From here onwards Ketut has begun to tweak and build his own kernel based on the stock kernel configuration parameters (/proc/config.gz).
(3) Roms based on Cyanogenmod 7
This is an unofficial build of Cyanogenmod for the s5830.
It is well known, that it suffers under a battery drain issue. On the other hand you will get the most out of the device regarding lagfree performance. Recommended for heavy gamers at the cost of battery duration.
My recommendation is now that you goes from (1) to (3) and try them out to experience yourself, which package does really fullfills your/her needs. Because no one can tell you for sure, which rom is the best suited for you, because it is a matter of personal taste and preference.
Here you can find some introductionary materials into the world of modding to make the s5830 a better device accommodating to your needs.

B. Tweaks
(1) Make battery last a little bit longer.
If you're really serious about finding ways to extend the battery running time, than you should read the whole thread, because usefull informations are scattered and not only in the OP.

(2) Lagfree scripts (only applicable to rooted device with init.d enabled)
This scripts may also contain some tweaks, which will claim to also raising the battery running time of the device.

[Q] Flash another rom

Hi!
Can i flash another custom rom if i have installed Themyth basic??
and, actually, which is the most smooth and stable??
sorry for my english
you sure can. just make sure to clear cache and some require you to factory reset i think.
Ive tried cm 7.2 KANG, i liked it alot, Im now running TheMyth Advance, with some small tweaks. with NO problems at all.
your best to read the ROMS yourself and see what fits you most
okay men!
can you solve me another question?
the battery works right but, when i turn on the wi-fi, the battery is discharged so fast!!
after flashed the rom, i didnt do a full wipe, maybe that the problem¿
Yes Wifi consumes more battery, but not so fast as you mentioned.
If not satisfied still, you can try Battery Calibration from the market. As the name says it will calibrate your battery
I can recommend the LeWa-Rom (this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1506952). I don't know if it is *the* fastest, but it ist by far the best one I used until now.
There's some tricks and tweaks regarding the setup (it is in chinese at first for some users, but it is easy to change that), but all in all, it is brutally fast, I haven't had a Force Close since I installed it and the battery consumption, especially when using it very much, is actually pretty good.
Give it a try, official support starts this friday, I am pretty psyched to test the final!

All of those points don't do much at all but cm 7.2 is the fastest based on PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. It gets under my skin when noobs have a quadrant score war
Sent from the Nokia Galaxy Nexus Arc 5530 Live with Walkman S2 XL XE S X 3G CDMA LTE T-mo PSN Certified Plus with Beats Audio
i dont use quadrant because the score is nothing for me, when i test rom i go for look and feel and how it works.
but i think that journal disabler is giving some boost

Which Rom/Build gives the best battery life

Let's forget about using 4g...say 3g network. You just want to listen to music on a run, read news off an app, check email...which build/rom gives the best battery life for the galaxy s3? The heaviest thing you would do is use google navigation
This kind of thing is more affected by your set up, synch, what apps are running, etc etc
A very cleverly disguised best Rom thread....I have you in my sights

wrong forum mate. this is for Samsung Galaxy SIII I9300
You will want to try CM9 stable version. I'm getting amazing battery life on it, lasting to 2 days in one charge.
is depends how you use
I've been testing a few out. CM9 nightly builds is indeed nice but I didnt notice any difference concerning battery-life.
Closed, battery life depends on your usage more than anything, and there is also no such thing as a "best" rom.
Edit: Also you mention 4G, you are in the wrong forum, check this sticky for where to go.

[Q] Not happy with current archievement of my device

Hello my dear friends and Samsung users,
How are you doing? I've been happy since the day I switched from Iphone 5 to Samsung S3. But now I need a bit of your help and some advice of a pro.
Look, I got a Samsung SIII GSM loaded with the newest Omega ROM Custom and a Avast! Secure software on background. It's rooted and also ready for being used.
I'm not really happy with the custom ROM though, so I describe below what I'm looking for. Perhaps you can help me:
- I need a lot more performance and speed, I want to push to its limits. Currently it reacts not as fast as I want when I go to unlock screen and unlock it for example. I also want to run apps and important tasks much more faster and effectively. Better than an Iphone 5.
- I don't care about battery usage and drain. It's absolute unimportant, I want more performance instead.
- ROM doesn't matter either, as long as it can help me to perform very satisfying performance.
I use my device a lot, when it comes to gaming, surfing on the internet, camera and chatting with friends using What's app. So you can imagine why I want all that.
I'm not really sure what to do, there are so many ROMs and Apps that can improve performance. I'm not sure, which one is the most recommended though, so I really need your help.
I also use apps such as CPU Tuner, SD-Booster, AutoKiller Memory, CacheMate but isn't that dispensable? I mean, custom ROM do already have these functions included, don't they?
Please help me
So your basically asking which is the best ROM? That is a big no no in these forums please read the rules.

[Q][ROM] Best Touchwiz ROM for i9300

Hey lads and ladettes,
I'm trying to find a good rom with some decent customisability but the main things I want are 25 toggles, low RAM usage (around 400-550mb after boot), fast, with good battery life.
I was using Foxhound 2.0 which was great but wanted some of the upgrades in 2.4 so flashed and started experiencing random reboots. After that I moved to Ultima v11 but the RAM levels never drop below 720mb which makes speed and multitasking an absolute MYTH! I'm about to try odexing the rom to see if it makes a difference but can anyone recommend an alternative?
Thanks in advance
