Does anyone have any idea why I would be missing YouTube in HTC music player. I had it before and also all my album art is gone. I go to update and it will not update.

Are you running a custom rom?? The developer probably removed those apps if you are. You can download You Tube from the market. You will need an apk for the HTC music player.
Hi, have you solved this? I have the same problem. There used to be an option to search for videos on YouTube from within the HTC music app. Now I can't find it.

I've downloaded a few albums from Google Music. Would like to play them with the built-in Music app, but Music doesn't see any of my downloaded music.
Root explorer showed me the music downloaded from Google Music was in :
\sdcard\Android\data\com.google.android.music\cache\music
I tried copying the music folder over to the external card sdcard2 (where I'd really LIKE to store my music), but the Music app still doesn't find it.
Most surprisingly, I can't find a setting for either Google Music or Music to specify a download or Music folder.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
If you purchased the music from google music the music isn't actually on your device, it is in the cloud on google music servers. Only way to get stock htc music player to see that music is to download the music from google music and put it directly on your device.
Hope that helps.

Yes.... that's what I'm trying to do. I downloaded Google Music from the cloud by "making music available offline", but the stock htc music player won't see it
Not true, R2does the developer from the dinc forum has a paid app that allows you to do it. Never tried it myself, but heard good things about it. There is also a Google music importer on the market that does the same thing. You have to download it as offline library, but other music apps will be able to play it.

Thanks, found Google Music Importer on the market. I'll give it a try.
I'm looking for a video player that does the following:
Plays videos from a folder on the SD Card.
Shuffles the videos when they play.
Continously plays videos.
Remember where you are in the video when you exit the program and go back in.
Toddler Video player does this, but it's not full screen for my EVO 3D. And it's not being developed anyone. Toddler Video Player Lock (different app) doesn't shuffle, it plays videos in alphabetical order. Developer saids they will fix it, but it hasn't been yet.
Thanks!

Did you try MX Video Player? It's available on the Play Store.

Unless I'm missing it, it doesn't shuffle.

My favorite one is Mx Video player, too. But I am not sure about shuffle...
Coming from an iPhone and then onto a Sensation XE, I'm wondering if the S3 will show lyrics that are embedded into MP3 files as the iPhone did?
My XE doesn't show them in the stock app, and I can't get another app as then Beats audio doesn't work.
On the S3 I just prefer to use the stock app. Anyone know yet?
cheers
yes i saw a vid of an mp3 being played on the sgs3 default music player with the lyrics shown at the same time.
Beats Audio is just an EQ. Get volume+ from the market or DSP Manager and you can emulate it pretty well.

I hope so, this is a big feature I personally missed coming from iPhone. I spent ages tagging with lyrics then got my XE and they weren't there, in the stock app with beats I mean.
I've heard beasts is just an EQ, but when it's built in, I prefer to just use it with.stock player
Just to update many thread and mods can lock it if required that I now have an S3 and can confirm that lyrics do show if embedded in an MP3 file on the stock music player
Yes
Of course YEs
Yes it does,
It does display the lyrics in mp3 files.......
But it is better to use MusixMatch from the playstore as it automatically fetches the lyrics and saves it in your phone.
For some reason when I try and play music using Google Now by saying "listen to *********" it doesn't work. It will sometimes offer to use the stock HTC music player but I don't use it since it sucks. I have Play Music installed with all my music cached, and that's all it took with my Gnex. Before you ask, yes I did verify that Play Music is checked under Google Now>settings>phone search.
Is this not working for anyone else?
For me it seems to work only with non complex song title's.
Cheers Alex

Hi all. Quick question:
I have google play all access, and I have stored the music locally on my device. I was wondering if there is a way to get all of my google play music files to play through the HTC Music app. Reason being, I want to install the Harmon-Kardon edition mod, but looks like the most benefit comes from using the HTC Music app. Does anyone know how I might go about sourcing all the google play files onto the HTC Music app?
Stock rooted, S-OFF, with latest OTA
Thanks!

The Harmon Kardon mod is really about enhancing compressed music, though it also supports 192khz via flac's, but you are asking about Play Music, which is compressed, even at high quality. The bottom line is that the mod works on all music apps, from Spotify, to Google Play Music exactly the same as it does for the HTC Music app. Technically, you can play the G Play music mp3's on any player, if you are rooted. You just need to move them to another folder. The down side is that the G Play app names all of the songs numerically, like 7483.mp3, so in the end, you are better off just using whatever music app you normally use.
another thing you can do is go into your default.xml file and edit the line pertaining to music channel (turning it on the rebooting, making sure the change has been saved). This allows me to play my playlists off Google music with the HTC player features, giving me access to the visualizer, lyrics (when applicable) etc, and the HK mod icons are active
Soon as I start a song, I get a notification that Music Channel is available, I click the notification and there it is
