]This is a pretty major overhaul of Gingerbread for Streak 5
This is collaboration between myself and DjSteve, with some huge contributions from ADW_Maniac and others, you know who you are
****NEW INFO*****
I've been given a present today from someone in the East. so I think its fair that I pass it on...
a kernel from a gb rom, with some appropriate files to go with it.
****NEW INFO*****
YOU must flash these AMSS & DSP to go with it..
If you don't know how to flash AMSS & dsp then DO NOT TRY THIS
I'm not responsible for USER ERROR
there is no overclock or extra governers, but tbh you don't need them at the moment,
this is quick and stable staggeringly so. it will do for a few weeks!
now onto the nice stuff
this is a 2.3.3 rom, its pretty quick overall, and fairly stable.
it has EXT4 fs (tweaked till its nipples bleed)
it has some very funky memory hacks
OLD INFO -out of date-
the kernel is based on Dells alpha kernel code, (which is why some stuff doesn't work too well)
Click to collapse
its a mix of lots of different things from AOSP code, to dell binaries (we're changing what we can as we go, but frankly its not easy reverse engineering these)
3d scores, IO scores are pretty quick
Overall its very responsive rom
Linpack scores > 41
Fingerprint is set to 2.3.3 CRESPO to allow all market apps to be shown
Its not themed at all, so native gingerbread stylee
It has a modified HOSTS file to block adverts
I've included the following key functional FREE apps (support their devs please)
VTL launcher, its a launcher designed for landscape and very configurable, also uses ADW themes
total commander rc1
volume Plus (from the mighty meltus),its gingerbread so we can have a proper equalizer!
Clocksync (helps with the timedrift)
Hackers Keyboard (stock keyboard but better!)
YOU MAY NEED TO FACTORY RESET, especially if you flash it over a 2.2 rom
If you're flashing over 2.3 build then at least delete dalvik cache.
but factory reset is recommended
BACK UP YOUR SDCARD BEFORE FLASHING (at least the any photos!) failure to do so may see them eaten by the phantom photo fancier.
thoroughly recommend the following apps to go with this
from market
setdns
setcpu
getjar
market 313
droidiris
lgCamera (very tweakable 720p camcorder!)
Locales2
Appbrain Market
Fastweb install (works fully here)
GET YOUR COUNTRIES GPS.conf from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1233359
extract it and copy it (with total commander) to etc/gps.conf
if wifi doesn't work then you may need to change the number of channels in the wifi advanced menu
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Please note this is still a WORK IN PROGRESS >>>>>>>>>>
Please do not complain!

cheers for posting fards im nominating fards as official maintainer for the sd 2.3 builds although i am still working on them also nice having a team of devs
Love the effort. Can't still try it! (I really need the phone to work 200%).
Thanks anyway
Hellyeah, thanks for bringing a little cheer to my day fellas...backing up n more backing up so I can do this as soon as I can...yippy!!!

Fards, et'al, Again thank you for all that you do and have done. Quick question in the original GB had "THIS BASEBAND UPDATE IS REQUIRED FOR GPS AND SOME OTHER THINGS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY
its an engineering modified baseband that works better for 2.3
Baseband File Download:
Primary Download Site: http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/amss.mbn (now disabled due to bricking issues, never bricked mine, but removed when I heard about the issue)
THIS DSP FILE MUST ALSO BE UPDATED DUE TO CHANGED LIBRARIES IN 2.3
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/dsp1.mbn
flash this using the fastboot command fastboot -i 0x413c flash dsp1 dsp1.mbn"
Have installed the dsp1, but has the amss.mbn file ever been fixed or am I ok running 353 (am on ATT so just went with their latest BB)?
StreakDroid2_3Beta2 is a MUST have! The lEaK3d "Asian" kernel does not overclock nor VPN (yet). LeAked drivers work and can be tweaked / themed. Thank you Dell (I guess). But it is a proper GB build. There is no more Mic /Sensors/Headset/power drain issues! Fantastic!
Please DONT post about themes or theme related issues here. Instead, join us in the themes forum GB_Streak5 Theme
The mic/sensors/headset doesn't work on my streak and the power drain is quite high...

@fards Thank you so much for all of the hard work and effort that went into this. Sometimes it's easy to forget that there is still a whole lot of people working on developing for the Streak, especially when it seems like Dell forgot about us. Big props on this new release!
This is a great rom. Donation coming your way on payday (BTW way is the donate link ).
I noticed the CRT screen off animation didnt work so I tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12515089. That was a big mistake. So I was wondering how hard it would be to include with the ROM? Not a big deal just a neat little feature of gingerbread.
Also just wanted to note that both my headsets with a mic/control work perfectly. The only one that doesn't is my plain jane ear buds.
Thanks again. This ROM is great thus far.
Wifi not working. Cant connect

Thanks fards, house moving, so will try this one out on weekend as normality returns! Well done!
Wont be installing yet as I need stability, but I appreciate the effort more than I can express. Looking forward to future builds. Thank you for your time, will drop a donation your way soon as I can.
vtl launcher not working properly
fire the rom twice--
first time deleted dalvik cache battery stats cache factory resetted and loaded the rom--factory reset again- the rom loaded but the home screen does not show full vtl launcher.
loaded the crt animation off also but no improvement
tried the honeycomb them 1.4 but the rom struck at android them and began recycling at this point and after few minutes put up a message that launcher not responding
second time---
deleted dalvik cache battery stats cache and factory resetted and loaded second time--the rom loaded but the home screen does not show full vtl launcher
Thanks fards for gb 2.3.....!

Only use this if you find the original kernel a bit flakey, some people find it more stable (tbh I prefer the one in the main zip)

Nvm... I see what happened - Last edited by fards; Today at 01:08 PM.
Flashed it about an hour ago. After first boot I got the first "freeze" when defining my google account. But since then, it seems to work better than expected. Installed Launcherpro since the VT Launcher seems a little on the slow side. Keep up the great work Fards, thank you for this release.

Well heres some bad news...I was working on Version 5 of my rom. Completely bricked my Nexus one.... Tmobile gave me a decent upgrade/trade in so i got the New Galaxy S 4g... I will leave Versions 3 and 4 of my rom up for everyone to enjoy an further it to bigger an better things. I will no longer be able to support or answer any tech questions since i do not own a nexus one anymore. Its been fun

3/3 5:45am Finally Ive finished testing and making sure the GRI40 is running smooth an flawless, Sorry it took so long to test, but it seems i hit my data cap of 5gigs in less than 8 days so it was slow on testing HSDPA speeds but thats all worked out now on my friends t-mo sim card i hit 4.5MB/s
Rom features: A2sd set up on first boot. If you dont want it dont set a Ext3 partition
Rooted with SU+busybox, Davik-Cache on SD, Deoxed file system, Zipaligned for ram. Few other things i cant remember because i spent 12 hours tryin to figure out why my data was so slow before i realized they capped me. This version is without the TB alerts. V3.1 with trackball alerts will be posted up here very shortly since trackball alerts will not work with A2sd because it reads trigger files.

For your complete an easy 2.3.3 GRI40 flash
Use Hboot to flash radio image
V3.Trackball Alerts are here at last!!! i would like to thank the creator of Light flow for allowing me to cook in the lite version of his app, The light flow app is probably the best trackball alert ive ever seen, Allows you to set trackball color to the type of alert it is. i used this app all night on my first version of the GRI40 and loved it so much i had to email and ask if i could use it. so yes i got permission from him to cook his app in. all the features of the rom are same as V3 without. Managed to get A2sd working with trackball alert app after i had already cooked the first one up. so take your pic, you can have trackball alerts or just the regular GRI40 .. Also did a internal task killer mod on this V3.1 which in turn SHOULD free up more ram my processes status is showing 285MB of free ram so ENJOY, Feedback is always welcome, use Radio image above if you want.

I took down V4 due to many issues with it, started from scratch on this V4.1 build, added Spare parts, Terminal, and Adobe flash player. Removed Books Apk and Amazon Mp3. Fixed Camera issue that plagued V4 Should also be flashable from Clockwork Mod. IF not use Ra passion please to flash. Also took off Light flow TB alerts as stock google TB alerts seem to be working with this build.
Rooted, Busyboxed, Zipaligned, deoxed, and all the other flavors from my previous rom builds.
new an improved V4.1

Enjoy
Gone back to school support an updates will slow down majorly, but please feel free to download mod, and make these roms better than i made um
quick q, how do u enable a2sd? just make a ext3 partition? or do i have to run some commands as well
thanks for doing this!
Was there a separate radio in the 2.4 dump, cuz I missed that fact?
Btw this rom is real quick. I'm loving it

I dont have such script, but you can take a look at this Build from Superatel, GB 2.3.3 with track ball wake working here (i'm running it-very smooth and stable). Perhaps you should ask him for Trackball wake solution
Anyway, thanks for your time building this job.
Just to let you know, flashed ver2 over ver1 with cache and dalvik-cache wipe and all is great!
Took a while to boot but a2sd all setup nicely now.
+1 for trackball wake
Anyone tried trackball alert ?
Many thanks
How is the battery life and USB transfer speed with this ROM?

Ext2 or ext3 is fine, ext4 is still unsupported on first boot, my phone automatically made a ext2 partition at 512Mb no swap an set it all up for me. so just try that first then if you want more, reflash it with a bigger partition set up

Sounds great Could you please paste the MD5 Hash next to the download links?
Edit: Didn't have the patience to wait for the MD5 Hash So downloaded and installed the ROM. Quick boot as said in the OP. Looks pretty good so far. Haven't tried it out extensively though. As of now, I found the USB transfer speed to be pretty decent. Not the best that I have experienced so far but definitely better than the other Gingerbread ROMs using the stock kernel. The Camera worked fine as well. Though I can not ascertain that it is 720p as I was not able to download the file to my PC. While accessing the Camera folder over USB, Windows7 says that the folder is either inaccessible or corrupted. Any idea why so? I was able to access the folder on my phone and the file played well. Will update more about the ROM as and how I use it. Thanks, buddy
Edit: One random reboot after restoring an application using Titanium Backup
Edit: I was able to access the Camera folder on my phone from my PC after restarting the phone once. Also the video is indeed 720p recorded at 12 fps.
I have tried quite a few Gingerbread ROMs out there and this one is just what I needed - plain vanilla stock ROM patched with the Apps2SD script.
Looking forward to the track ball awake and battery percentage. Will report regarding battery life after a few hours.
Edit: One more random reboot after unplugging the USB cable from the phone
Edit: One more reboot while copy data from phone to PC over USB
flashing this right now. Will report later tonight or tomorrow

damn dude, sorry to hear bout ti randomly rebooting on you, i hope it was just a bad flash with you an nothing else thats too serious, but ill look into it
Were to start -_-
1. the power button doesnt lock my phone.
2. gps does not work, anything gps related fails (Gps status, Locations)
3. Camera does not work (vignette app does work)
4. video recorder does not work
5. 3d gallery is more a 1 fps slide show.
6. when in gallery and i switch the phone sideways, it shows 6 images of the gallery distorted (unusable)
I did a fresh rom install, and still these problems persist.
cleared cache and all.
common problems or is it just this phone....
I have all the same issues with the exception of not being able to lock it. Change the camera from autofocus to touch focus, and get rid of the 3d gallery, Eris cannot handle it sadly.

+1 xtrSENSE, IMHO you won't find a better 2.1 ROM, or if you want stock but without sense home itself, xtrROM. Both excellent.
xtrsense is really the smoothest Ive used too.

I have issues with the browser closing after about 3 seconds after updating to Kaosfroyo v39. I noticed your update link to fix the GPS and browser, but that link is not working. Any other insight on fixing this? Many thanks! Carl
Hmm. I just clicked on the link and it downloaded the gps fix for me instantly, it won't actually open a page as its a direct download. Did you try accessing the link with your phone or comp? Try the phone, and while it may be a pain in the ass, use an alternate browser temporarily for the link such as Dolphin Mini.

It's pretty simple and essentially the same process that you used to install KF. You are already rooted, so you now need to download the xtrSENSE5.0.1.zip file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=726467
Copy that zip file to your SD card and then use the following procedure:
- shut down the phone
- restart in recovery by holding down VolUp while you start the phone until you see the Amon_RA recovery screen
- go to the Backup/Restore menu
- Choose Nandroid backup
- When that is done, press VolDn to return to the main menu
- Go to the Wipe menu
- Wipe data/factory reset
- Wipe Dalvik cache
- Press VolDn to go back to the main menu
- Choose Flash a zip from SD card
- Choose the xtrSENSE5.0.1.zip file
- restart the phone
I had kaosfroyo v39 for only a few minutes before i flashed a cyanogenmod7 gingerbread rom which made me much happier
how long have u had the gingerbread rom for? what are some of the features it has compared to the xtrsense rom or any xtr rom. i read the xtr rom's are super speedy i can't stand the froyo 39 definately slowing down lately

I flip back and forth between xtrSENSE and one or two of the GB ROMs weekly; I, like many others, have been running the GB ROMs for many months now. They are very stable and much, much better than KF at this point.
I find it hard to find speed differences between ROMs after things have been running for a while. About the only difference I see is battery life - the GB ROMs are more efficient than xtrROM and xtrSENSE, all things being equal, on my phone. xtrSENSE is excellent, all of the GB ROMs are great and well-supported at this time. Sometimes there are updates to the GB ROMs that may break some functionality but they are always fixed by the next update - just read the comments in those threads to see and you can always download and flash an older version if you need something to work. You cannot go wrong with either choice.
well so far nearly 24hrs with the xtrsense rom and loving the speed and smoothness so far. there are a few things i liked to have kept from the froyo rom to this one but i'd rather have the smoothness and quickness than the few things i liked more from the froyo rom. still re-learning everything tho
i just noticed that the "My Apps" button in the market now looks like a phone and says "sprint"
If i click on it it doesn't take me to my apps.
Anyone else having this problem?
That's normal for this build. If you click on your Menu, you'll find My Apps there.
Thanks you were right

I'm really enjoying this ROM. The speed of the machine is phenomenal.
Love the Rom ad well but can't seem to get the market updated or to show all apps. Any thoughts?
I've tried market enabled to no avail.
Issue with ROM or with G-Tab?
I've noticed that if I let the g-tab go to sleep, I'm having to reboot it get it to wake up.
Is anyone else having this issue? I've had my tablet since x-mas, but have nto used it much. It sat in a desk drawer for about 2 months, and I'm just now getting into using it.

I have this issue with every rom ive tried on my gtab. So now I pretty much just install clem's kernel everytime. Plus it gives me CIFS so I can stream media from my windows pc .

Yeah, again it's just the build. There are a ton of hacks that will get you more of the market, but I doubt you'll ever get "everything". Considering that the GTab wasn't blessed by Google, we're lucky to have the devs here to get the market at all.

Another issue with this ROM. Some have fixed it by going to Clemsyn's kernel, others to Pershoot's and still others by using CPU Master Free. Personally, I just set my tab's Screen Timeout to Never. What can I say...I like simple.

I agree. The only problems I see with it are no news and weather widget like on tnt, and the horrible photo album (I think it's from stock?)
Fireware
This may be a stupid question, so I am sorry if it is, but Calkulins v1.1 says it is "Based on rooted 2.2 / FRF91 - TnT 3991"...
so can you run it on the 1.1-3588 firmware, or will that brick?
Again, sorry for my ignorance...
Thanks!
ROM's and Firmware are the same thing. If you're asking whether you can use ClockworkMod or standard recovery, the answer is yes. Calkulin's ROM is a hybrid using the newer 3991 build for features but the older bootloader and recovery. It shouldn't cause you any trouble loading it over 3588.
Thanks! Sorry, I confused the firmware with bootloader, thanks for straightening that out!
No problem. Just want to make sure that I understand the question correctly. Happy modding!
All Done!
Woot!! I will say, I bought this on the woot! deal... and although I consider myself very computer savvy, I have never rooted/hijacked/whatever a device before...
Happily this was super easy! I wanted use the stock ROM for a bit to get familiar with it, but I just couldn't stand how slow/unresponsive/just crappy it was!!
So I jumped the gun and started in... luckily I did a lot of reading first!!
Loaded up Clockworkmod - and made a backup first!! lol
Used clockworkmod to install Calkulins ROM---OMG is it fast!!
The found that I was having the sleep-death issue... so I loaded up Clemsyns Kernel Too!!
Not a single hiccup! Even for a noob- this is super easy! Just follow all the great advice on the XDA forums (and don't skip steps!) and you can't screw it up.
Thanks to all the great people on here, for the hard work, and patience... I love seen good communities like this!
DeadEnd
Which version of Clemsyns is recommended?
Hi,
clakulins ROM is my prefered ROM so far
But, it needs some issues to be addressed to make it my daily driver.
1- sleep-to-death
I know we can use another kernel to fix this (so I keep this fix for later if everything else can work)
2- Settings/Family accounts/add member
This FC every single time. I definitly need this functionality. My Gtab being a family device....
3- Photos is horrible as previosuly pointed out in this thread. I want a centralized place for all my photos, or at least for local storage + picasa. With this gallery, we can only access picasa public albums. What about my own account !!!
4- Photos started to display pictures roatated one quarter to the left. It doesnt let me re-rotate them back to original. It does that for evey single picture, i cant fix this. Photos is now unusable
I tried a few Photos gallery apps from the market (6-7 so far). None of them works to my liking.
I just want somethings simple that get access to all my pics.
5- Cant play videos anymore. Not even the sample 'car' and 'king kong' that came with the Gtab.
If I can fix all of the above, calkulin will be my only and permanent ROM.
(ps items 4 and 5 were previously working ok in this ROM, this started yesterday)
Also, another things that is on my whish list:
- Have bluetooth HID
I have this blutooth keyboard collecting dust on the used parts shelve that I would like to use with the Gtab
thank you calkulin for all,
So, I decided to install clemsyn kernel to fix this sleep-death problem.
No problem installing, everything went well.
But now instead of comlaining that it cant play videos, it just FC on every videos I try to play.
I feel a complete reinstall will be necessary.
Hi everyone,
I must point out that I am pretty new to the whole custom ROM thing, I still have the stock ROM and everything on my xperia x10,
so my question is which ROM gives the best performance (ie less lag, good battery life, not many bugs, etc)? and can you give me simple instructions on how to install it because I don't want to screw something up and brick my phone, please?
Also when having a custom ROM installed, are you able to implement (install) patches given out by sony ericsson or you just follow the forum and wait for the developer of the ROM to make a patch, and if there's a patch from the developer how do you install it? (I presume you can't install the patches from sony ericsson, I'm just asking). And how often does the developer release the patches?
And do I have to delete everything with a factory reset from my phone before I do ANYTHING? at which step should it be done? can I backup everything using backup and restore program that's already aboard the x10 and restore it later, or the program will disappear when I install a custom ROM? if it wont, will it bring back my sms and mms effectively, and applications too?
Try this, Wolfbreak's CM 6.1.3 V54(fully working, very stable froyo 2.2 rom with CyanogenMod settings and themes.

I'm definitely a fan of trips miui rom. He also just came out with a miui gingerbread rom, it's a bit unstable at this point though.
Sent from my X10i TripNMiUI using XDA App
use wolfbreak's latest rom. it's very stable with lots of things you can tweak and have fun with!

+1 for wolfbreak's
Hi there, as you can see from my post count, I'm pretty new to this as well. I've only tried wolfbreak so far but am amazed at it's stability. As far as I've seen you will lose SMS etc however lots of things can be saved to the cloud, so first thing I'd do is make sure all contacts are marked as Google sync
I initially found the flashing to be problematic, but that was mostly because I was an idiot and failed to notice that the flashing software also adds functions such root access and xrecovery when the phone is NOT in flash mode. Since. Then I've been able to upgrade to the latest version (06) without even using a computer. Simply downloading the file onto my phone, moving it with the included file manager and rebooting to the recovery menu
I know have a faster more responsive phone with lots of added features such as Flash, Voice Search and loads more customization options. IMHO well worth the twenty minutes or so it will initially take
Make a note of your favourite apps as well, as the market only remembers paid for apps not your free ones, but for me the change over was pretty seamless and after only a day and a half with it am more than happy. So much stuff is held within the cloud that setting back up isn't the mega ballache it seems before doing it
Wolfbreak's ROM is the most 'fun' to use, the most tweaks avaliable
TripnMIUI's ROM is one you need if you just want your phone to work. Also, it has an iphone-like look (IMO I hate it, but some people like it)
Jereplea's Gingerbread mod is for those who want to be active in making the ROM better and test Gingerbread and custom kernels. It's not really that stable, but it's getting better by the day and it's the most updated ROM.
IMO those are the 3 big ROMS, there are smaller ones and you're free to check them out, they're pretty good too, but those are just my opinions on the top 3 ROMS.

you can keep your sms, call logs, contacts by using mybackup root
Thank-you, that certainly makes me more tempted to try the other flavours out there, as I said I'm new to Android fiddling, appreciate the advice
Awesome ROM i'm using right now is Freex10 Beta 4 (Android 2.2), with the video recorder fixed. The ROM is stable and excellent. Runs really fast.

If you want a really good looking ROM, try the Bitsnacker 2.1 rom. It is basically the stock rom with the bitsnacker blue glow theme.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1005636
If you mean THEMES, check the bitsnacker theme out for the x10 which works on android 2.1 stock and 2.2 Free X10 Beta 4 (for Freex10 ignore first post, check the second half way down the screen)

Finding the links took me ages, i got them all mixed up
If you like, it plz thank
the answer will always be it depends on what you want from a device and its really your opinion and your opinion alone thatll lewt you decide
another +1 for tripnmiui's rom, pretty well featured
for me TripNMiui is always the best
TripNMiui with custum kernel
I'd say Wolfbreak's so far...
It runs flawlessly...
I've been testing many custom ROMs for a while, and up to now, the ones I liked the most are TripNMiUI's and Wolfbreak's ones. It's hard even to pick up one of them... TripNMiUI's has a great visual and is very clean. Wolfbreak's, in the other hand, works flawlessly and very stable, and I love that ARC's style.
Actually, I'm using Wolfbreak's now.

Or use the app Titanium Backup to restore all apps and data when switching. Works like a charm for me.
Hello There I updated my folio to cm9 and found out that i cannot post on developement , so i decided to create a new thread to here in order to publish todays testing of the new rom.
First thing is that i installed with cwm 5.0.0.9 with no problem so that worked too.
It worked smooth and fast. Not as fast as foliomod 1.4 but almost.
I have SOD with no app installed only market. (i try to reinstall with the creator proposed recovery)
I found that i can install now the 3.1 and up applications like adobe photoshop and ideas .
I painted photoshop for a few hours and had a strange freezing first than after a minute and so it came to life by itself.
30 minutes later it freezed for good and it ruined the system so i had to reinstall the ROM...
I couldnt make a photo of the system message of boot error but it said 2 differend one wifi related and 1 driver related...
(sorry i have no chance to logcat because of win7... If someone pm me about a solution of logcat work in win7)
I am a newbie so i dont know how to use developer related programs and webpages but i try to share information with the community here.
All in all i think this ROM is faster and better than honeycomb mods and runs photoshop (i wanted a tablet to paint...)
I had strange wifi signal ups and downs during connection...
working:
- UI
- Wifi
- Bluetooth
- Sensors
- Audio
- Gapps
- skype, imo
- games (cut the rope), gameloft apps (x2 optimus version)
not working
-youtube app
-flash in browsers
-playing flash videos
I want to thank for all who is working on the ICS ROMs right now, you do a really good job guys, please keep up so we can all have a very good tablet working .
Im looking forward for solutions for not working parts and updates .
So glad to hear the photoshop works on it - that's one of the apps that I was really hoping would work. Did you say that photoshop remained pretty stable over those few hours?
I know that the rom is going to be pretty unstable though - SOD is not a real issue to me, but the rom corrupting itself is a bit of a worry!
no sod for me, stable rom, youtube works fine, remove the hd video display, we have to wait for the flash player updates the rom, maybe you should use the Opera browser.
Hey guys,
Flash didnt work with my 4.0.3 Rom too. The "SOD" wakes up after round about 30 sec in my case, dont reboot so fast.
Working Stuff:
Apparatus
GTA 3 (v. 1.2)
Youtube (not full tested)
Reckless Racing HD
My Issues:
Sound sometimes didnt work after "half SOD"
Wlan Problems (didnt connect to my wlan, after reboot 2 or 3 times its gone, this bug is since the Dexter 0.3 mod)
My Question:
Can i change the Resolution? The HC 0.3 Rom, had the best for my opinion
Anyone try a usb gamepad? This would be awesome with the snes emu
Can i turn off the softkeys?
Can i fix the 180° display rotation from bootup?
I will try some tests and things and give feedback.
best regards
Dave
A guy called Strozzi posted that
Screen rotation: OK but after having enabled it in the trebuched app

Does that fix what you mean?
I find the whole 10 posts before you post in the development section a bit silly. I understand the desire for the forum to not be full of 'noobs' but I registered because I could help with an answer to a question that someone asked. Oh well...
Loving all your reports on ICS tho... going to give it a try once the app store starts showing everything! Photoshop is the main pull for me tho...
It was stable until the slowup and freeze, i think it is useful if u save frequently. It has the core funcions of everything you need in photoshop.
someone write that the flash contend work only with the opera browser, i will test this at the evening.
What i mean with the rotation is, the display looks greater when the screen is 180° rotated
greets
Dave

Ah yes, i dont think thats possible to phisically turn the display 180 degrees because of construction... It is the biggest fault in toshiba's development history to use a screen like this...
SO todays testing last update on cm9:
Still no idea on SOD.
I got into a bootloop from a normal power off than power on with wifi
After that loop i used mblasters recovery to reinstall it again...
got into bootloop right after intstall. I did a factory reset to get it started up again.
I got a system up and running again with no apps :S
I dont think this is app related...
I have SOD with the new recovery too. Looks like i'm the only one fighting with SOD. ( my device go to hibernation after 30 sec from screen off and no way to wake it up)
And.... after the first SOD i got into bootloop again... then with a simple restart it is working... i dont know what to do now. Maybe reinstall is not necessary if this happens every now and then...
i got the 2. time a SOD, dunno why its totally random....
Flash didnt work with the Opera Browser. I think i make a fastboot -w shortly and test it again.
Its possible that is the old genovea problem with the 256 mhz and vcore bug, with the SOD?
I think i install a Linux to get some logcat output.
edit: im a dumbass, logcat also available @ adb.exe logcat :/
best regards
Dave
really good job on this rom! Try it with ADW launcher EX and it will run completely smooth!
It's an experimental build and we already have a nearly stable rom, it just needs to improve the performance, add ondemand cpu governor (performance governor has horrible battery life), get flash working, use camera (not really important for me) and we would have the perfect rom!

Someone mentioned in the dev thread that there is no flash version for ICS yet which is why flash isn't working. This true?
As for camera - really not a biggie. They'll only get that working once the source for it is released. Not sure if that is...
The strange thing is that some people are saying this rom is perfect and stable while others are talking about it crashing and going into a bootloop... :/

It's pretty stable for me, I'm using it as "every-day" rom. Flash Player for ICS was released in December, also I've seen it working nicely on a GT-i9000 with 4.0.3 just downloading flash from android market.
I neither care about the camera. I've never used it. Now I rmember another problem on the rom: USB storage (connecting folio to PC) doesn't work.
Well I bit the bullet and have gone to CM9. The rom is great, took a while to get my google account setup (kept getting the unreliable connection error) but overall I was impressed. One SOD but seems way more stable than foliomod and the speed is great.
My only question is... How did you guys get apps on that aren't 'supported'. Two apps that I know work are 'unsupported'. Do I just change the build.prop or are you guys using a different method? Really want photoshop touch and RawVision on my device.
Oh and a small tip, I forgot to wipe when I upgraded and I had a working update from CM7. Only issue was that the market app was broken, but as that's pretty integral I had to wipe...
tested the new build, so far it has he same issues as the previous build, but Wifi lost when tablet is sleeping seems to be fixed! Also I've noticed that multi-mount sdcard app doesn't work now.
new version
I still cannot get the folio out of hibernation in cm9, however i figured out that my total crash message was not real. When freezed, the folio wont boot for a while (30 minutes or so). After about half an hour it is booting like nothing happened. Freezing was a rare thing with r1 now it is regular, so it is not too good. I think battery drain is still problem. Many apps is working corrupted or not work at all, but some other work that not before. Oh and you have to forget flash for now. I think it is still not good for everyday use but it is definitely not far from that. Hold on for 1 more month Nopy pls.
My issuses:
- Power Button needs to be pushed twice or more for wake UP from standby
- camera Shows mutiple (4) live pics, no Video ins possible
- No Market Download works
- home Button (softbutton on the side ) is out off order
- Touchscreen ins a little Bit less sensitive
Flash, gmail, and youtoube works, gapps Form goo-inside ins installed
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk (No, its my folio100 )
hitting several times power button solves SOD problem for me......
After instaling last cm9 version with 2.6.39 kernel I can't get rid off SOD...
hi there,
i just installed the new CM9.0.0.0
Great ROM, very good job, everything seems to work fine
Just one thing : i've got something like small electrical discharge when i touch the screen, i can hear the sound of it like static electricity
Am i the only one and what can i do?
Market not working
Hi *,
also installed cm9 with kernel 2.6.29.
A real awesome rom, thank you for the good work!
I have the issue that apps won't install in the market. When trying to download, folio says that an error has occured.
Any hint what could cause this behavior?
I installed the gApps with clockworkmod recovery.
renamed zinfile in update.zip, copied to sdcard
booted into recovery
applied update.zip to recovery.
Apps work, market also but u can't donload any app.
thanks,
Buggi
