Anyone experiencing lag when using a live wallpaper? I tried using LPP and it was silky smooth until I set a live wallpaper. I had the same issue on my EVO 3d....

I too run LPP so i put Blue Skies live wallpaper on and haven't had any lag issues. Ill keep it on for a couple days and report back. Maybe it's different because it wasn't pre-installed.

Flikie works fine for me. I just miss my scrolling wallpaper. Not enough to return it though.

Hi everyone,
Is there anyway to enable wallpaper panning on the carousel sense?
I have been wondering this also
Are you talking about panning like the 4g EVO? If so I hated that, I love how on the 3VO the wallpaper stays in place.

I think the OP and I are talking about the the wallpaper like "LIVE HD beach"
http://youtu.be/l-dubmlRi1c
wallpaper, that when you slide to the left or right it kinda changes the background scene slightly

I'm pretty sure he's talking about this.
Via My HTC Evo 3D On The Now Network From Sprint.
There's no way to enable it. The only way to have it is to install an alternate launcher like ADW. But, when you do that, you lose the Sense widgets.

Yeah that's pretty much what i'm after lol. Got a few nice live wallpapers that I now can't use properly :-(

in short
HTC abandoned the scrolling wallpaper for the 3D carousel effect of Sense 3.0
I have to admit there are sometimes i wish i had the carousel wallpaper, however the 4g needed the options also.

Anyone installed Nova launcher yet? Coming from a GNex I think that would be my first order of business. Any performance issues, resolution problems, etc?

ive been running nova for over a week now, and it runs like a champ
I tried to deal with sense for about 4 hours yesterday... App spacing is atrocious and that dock is fugly and you can't change it to anything remotely attractive... Installed nova and doubt I will look back until maybe a desense Rom is developed

I got mine today and set everything up before loading nova back on. Nice and smooth as always.
Best thing is, the locksreen shortcuts are what is on the sense dock. You can set those to anything, then go to nova.
Anyone able to get wallpapers to scroll??
I'm trying Nova, but many of the Sense widgets are missing. I wish there was an app that would allow 4x5 layout on the stock setup. Does anyone know of anything like this? 4x4 just looks silly on such a large display.

Doesn't Apex do that? Set the grid to 5 x 4 in the home screen settings

He wants to use the sense widgets, but can't with a different launcher.

balaika and edena's garden. No drastic battery drain.
I'm using for now a live wallpaper, let's see if there is any battery drain or Lagg performance

I have heard that live wallpapers have the same effect as constantly watching video, but that's just what someone said so it could be wrong.
Theoretically it should drain. To be honest I never really noticed. Every few days I change between fresh leaves and any static image. Makes no real difference. Fresh leaves doesn't lag either, is very fluid, has really good detailed images and looks awesome. But some other lwallpapers do so I'm just guessing they're poorly optimized.

I noticed a bit of Lagg for example in notification bar and also in touchwiz launcher so back to normal wallpaper

I use live wallpapers all the time. I do notice a slight difference in the battery life, but it does'nt effect the performance of my phone. Love the s3. Great stuff.
I tried 3d live wallpaper and some space one. They look awesome but I found some drain. I didn't try for extended periods though.

No luck with nova launcher
I'd like to know the answer as well. Most wallpapers are designed for scrolling, so without, you only get a slice of the full wallpaper.
