Web browser icon and Message icon - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I lost my web browser icon and message icon in my applications menu. Can somebody send me yours and tell me where to drop them in. Actually those applications work, in search widget i search for them and open them but lost the icons in the applications menu.

Go to settings>>apps>>Manage apps >> Then find TWlauncher and select it. Then select delete data.
Probably you will get the icons back.
You can also try and download a different launcher. For example Zeamlauncher or GO Launcher ex.

Thanks i got my icons back.

The icons in menu cant be deleted. However, most alt launchers will let you hide icons in the menu.

Aha, what is with apps/games what i downloaded can I move them?
Your app drawer contains all apps on your phone, usually in alphabetical order... some launchers allow you to hide apps, some allow your to create folders within the drawer to group them, some allow you to re-order the drawer..
Personally, I prefer to leave all the apps in the drawers and create shortcuts to them (by dragging and dropping as you mentioned) onto the desktop and categorising the pages.. ie, I have a page of favourite games, a page of tools/ utilities, a page of media related stuff!, and a central home page with a clock and meridian music widget on it.. and finally, and page with a full page calendar widget on it.

Changing/Moving the locked Phone/Contacts/Messages/Apps icons?

I was able to move these locked apps/icons which appear on all home screens on my SGS1, and now on the SGS2, when i try and edit the home screen(s), the phone wont let me change these.
Ive downloaded Handscent SMS which i want to use to completely replace the default messages app, so in a root explorer program just renamed the Mms.apk application to a ,bak, in doing that, it removed the messages icon from this locked menu so now i can only see PHONE/CONTACTS/APPLICATION icons and still cant add or edit anything...can someone help with this? Just wanna throw the HANDSCENT SMS icon in there...

If you're talking about the four bottom icons with the app drawer icon at the far right then you can change it quite easily. Just open the app drawer, hit menu then edit. You can drag and move whatever you'd like to the bottom area. Home/Applications must stay though.
Is there any way of changing the icons, renanming them or just pointing the existing icon to another application?
I am trying to keep the stock messaging icon but open Go SMS Pro with it instead?
TIA

[HOW TO] Place icons Go Launcher EX

Go launcher EX. i can't find this information.
How to add an icon of your application, ie that she appeared on the desktop user that it is not even installed (well, when you opened the market with this application).
Thanks for help.

Hi,
Those icons aren't really icons, but rather text used in the Zooper Widget. To change these icons, as well as their associated shortcuts, try this:
1. Long press on the homescreen - Advanced - Unlock Widgets (come back here to lock them back into place at the end).
2. Long press on the top widget - Configure - Layout.
3. Now as you can see, there are many Rich Text Module with letters underneath, those are the 'icons'. For example, 'a' is the clock icon.
4. To change the icon/text, tap a module (e.g. 'a'), scroll to Edit Text Manually, and replace 'a' with another letter. Here is a reference to all the icons: http://dl-1.va.us.xda-developers.co....pdf?key=chMx6D8HCwHmdWscEnOsag&ts=1400226165
5. Once you've changed the icon, tap back, then select Module OnTap. Change it to the shortcut/app that you prefer (you can swipe between tabs).
6. Once you're happy, exit everything, and use the same method to the other widgets if necessary.
7. Lock the widgets back into place (Step 1).
It looks like a lot of effort, but it gets much easier with practice. For more information on editing themes, see our tutorial videos here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPXmDjRU7Q9daVeQYX78PNrUp0BAc9AIn

Hiding annoying app

I am using iLauncher, which I really enjoy, but the developer unfortunately forces you to have an app icon for the launcher preferences on the homescreen. You can only change the icon and title (title can't be empty or just spaces unfortunately), but you can not delete it from the homescreen.
Is there anything I can do, to get rid of it?
