Hey guys,
Im debating making the switch. Is portrait mode correct in this version? I.e. is the capacitive buttons natively on the bottom?

Ask on the Vegantab 7 Q&A topic and you may get the answer you're looking for. In fact, if you read the thread, the answer may already be there.
I did. And nobody answered me.
The answer to this question is no, natively the capacitive buttons are not on the bottom.

can somebody please tell me how the resize for the controls on video settings works. Its so annoying as it supposed to have a slight boost in performance and i cant really test it without controls. The controls appear but they are extremely big

Hello,
I wanted to share the modified CM9 framework-res.apk which will enable the on screen navigation buttons. Works fine on my CM9 SGS2 04/27 nightly.
Might be a help to users with faulty home buttons, or those who wants a different look. I am planning to modify the layout a bit as per the thread by evilisto in Q & A section.
Just thought will post this in case someone finds this useful.

So this gives us the on screen buttons like the nexus?
Will it work on Omega v11.1?
Cheers

surely it's possible to get my rooted sgs2 on Checkrom revo hd 6 with Android 2.3.6 to vibrate when I get message?
something as simple as this could force me to do the unthinkable - go back to iPhone

CheckROMinsertawesomewordshere isn't even on XDA, is it? Perhaps their forum would be a better place for support. You might want to try using some manners when requesting help though.

I'm pretty sure there are many, if not a few, jB ROMS out there that support the front facing cam, but I can't seem to find one..any suggestions?

Well first off, did you modify your phone to have a front facing camera? If no, do you have the international version, not T-Mobile version? If you have the T-Mobile version and have a front facing camera already there and a silver back cover, head over to the galaxy s 4g forums. But if it is the 3g version, slimbean has a FCC under unsupported (they don't help with problems with the said mod) tab.

Hellybean has FFC support doesn't it?

*UPDATE*
I have found a solution for the FFC..I'm currently running Slimbean 3.0 (android 4.1.2)..and after a lot of searching, I found a few apks to get the FFC recognized by the camera and Video calling apps such as ooVoo, Skype, Yahoo! messenger, and most likely many more..for anyone who has the FFC mod and need the apks (with directions), PM me and I'll send to email since I'm not allowed to post downloadable attachments..
