Hi there,
I found this workaround on the web and it seems like this is by far the only way to do Chinese input on HP TouchPad
http://www.palmjoy.com/articles/2011/08/touchpad-chinese-ome-temp-solution.html
If you're a developer you should be able to do it this way
http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Changing_keyboard_layout_on_Touchpad
Touchpad has launched in Hong Kong. There should have chinese webos available somewhere. Hope somebody can dump it and hack it.
I got HK Version and no Chinese Input.
Keyboard language
Hi
I am wondering if you can change the language of the webOS keyboard to a scandinavian langauge, preferrably icelandic?
thx
any news on this issue?
am i the only one interested in this?
No your not there is several people working on proper workarounds on precentral, but so far no real end-user solution

I recently purchased a Qtek 8500 at a my local LIDL in Germany.
This one comes with ROM-Version 3.6.251.1 that I have not found anywhere so far.
While Brightpoint officially supports this cellphone its IMEI won't let me register at myqtek.com (or any other support website for HTC products for that matter). According to Brightpoint's telephone support (which accepts the IMEI just fine) there is no need to access that website since my phone already comes with the latest ROM.
I would love to try out the fantastic WM 6.1 ROMs that were posted in this forum but without the stock-ROM this feels too much of a one-way-street. Without the possibility of going back to 3.6.251.1 I feel like I would just throw my 2 year warranty out of the window.
Has anyone seen this ROM or knows how to obtain it?
A few related questions:
What would be the best backup solution for Windows Mobile so I won't lose the things that are not synced with Outlook (like short messages etc.)?
Where would I be able to find German localization and German t9 for the Windows Mobile 6.1 ROMs?
Are there any significant drawbacks in upgrading to WM 6.1? Like reduced battery runtime or broken features that worked fine in WM 5?
Final question:
erofinch/pArtizAn's ROM or GnatGoSplat's? What would be recommended?

Yes I downloaded one at daangard's website.

That's easy: There is none at this time. I guess you will be able to find information in this forum if there is one available.

Really, I was under the impression that the latest official update on those websites was 3.6.251.0.
I'll try to register with your IMEI trick and if that doesn't work, hopefully you could upload your download for me?
EDIT: I just saw your updated post, thank you so much for that link, that helped me a LOT!

I can live perfectly fine without German localization but no German t9 would be kind of a deal-breaker ...

Well at least that is great news, let me see if I can find my stock-ROM so I have a chance to return to it.

Nope, that didn't work, neither for Brightpoint nor for Daangard. Well, at least your link worked fine and it seems to be identical to my Brightpoint stock-ROM - at least on first sight.

Not directly, though it may be possible to make a driver that will use the TG01 data and send it to software in a way similar to the way the HTC drivers work.
Here is some info about TG01 gsen. but author didn't wrote back about making an HTC gsensor emulator

No one I think. You can be the first one.
Hello bojan9
Thanks for your confidence. I'm a little torch as developer. I think the best one for this development is "Chainfire". But I have read, he doesn't work on this project. Is this information true? If yes, I think that we have no chance of accelerometer-games for TG01.

Witch game do you want play?
Because there is a PS emulator for TG01 with it you can play a lot of games.
Check in section apps and games. is the last forum from up to down.
Hi bojan
Yes, this program is very nice. I have it installed at last week. But it's better, it would work more games on accelerator. I have the feeling that nobody are interest on this at the moment. I'll waiting for a while of new infos on this and I'm going to play with my omnia other accelerator-games this time.
Thanks for your answers

There is a Korean rom somewhere but I would guess it has Chinese and Japanese language. Possibly someone knows where those things are in the rom, and how to move them? An Arabic port was made.
I'm just imagining, but I don't know.

Hello everybody. I'm new up here so just tell me straight if I misunderstood something.
I've got SHIRU Emperor 10 tablet. I'm from Poland. I think this thing had came out only in easter countries.
As u should / or should not know, this is a clone of CUBE U30GT2. BUT...
I've noticed there are some cosmetic differences. For example in my SHIRU I'm not able to switch between HD and Normal Resolution.
This pad is really great, games work perfectly fine, even Moder Combat 4 installs itself with highest graphic details and it still runs smooth.
My first question:
Did someone invent the way to root this device? So I suspect that someone had already done it with CUBE. But what's up with SHIRU ?
And the second one is...
Is it possible to instal custom roms on shiru? Or should i ask, are there any custom roms on this device?
Cheers

Hi
I'm not a mobile dev, but could someone port the Note2 Keyboard for CM / Android 4.2 ?
I understood there is a need of the touchwiz framework, but maybe it would be possible to analyze ("revert engineering" to get the framework functions and calls) and embed it to this keyboard ?
Maybe it would be possible to use the spen handwriting recognition !
Thanks
Nico

I was having a look at the same matter and I don't think it would be impossible. I found a flashable zip to port the note 2 kb to sgs3 and I have seen a number of libraries that need to be replaced. Maybe some work with the smali code and a number of symlinks could make it work, but I have limited skills and no spare time, but I've found, and that's why I'm writing this post, a fairly good replacement for handwriting. That is writepad which is sadly paid and is good enough for my daily use. I write in italian and it is not as accurate as the original keyboard, but it is usable, let's say it is the 90% usable in comparison to the samsung's one.

Indeed, I'll keep aware on what are the updates on this thread.
Good luck guys (& girls ?) !
