1 We Have A Camera.
2 I Don't Know How You Would Even Begin To Plug Anything Into The SD Slot, How Would The Battery Fit? How Would The Battery Cover Fit?

He said ffcamera..meaning front facing. I assume he means usb slot

Haha Wow I'm An Idiot I Thought That Was An Auto-correct Error.

There's this thing for the iPhone 3gS that you stick on the camera like a lens, but it has a bunch of mirrors and reflects it so it goes to the front. Kinda like a parascope. Gonna have to Google it yourself, because I saw it a while ago

How to fix messed up micro sd cards?

Hey guys my buddy gave me a 16gb micro sd from his droid x. I guess something happens with those things and corrupts the sd card. Anyways, I was wondering if you guys knew a way to fix sd cards so I could use it in my atrix. Thanks!

You can get a USB adaptor ($2 - $5) that turns any SD card into a thumb drive. Then just plug it into an available usb port in your computer and reformat the card. Should work unless there's actual physical damage to the card.
I've found that there's an added bonus in that it's faster to move stuff (photos, movies, etc) to & from the card when I have a full-size laptop screen, mouse and file manager to work with.
Awesome guys. I think ill try the usb method and if that doesn't work im guessing ill be going to Wolly world!
Thanks guys!

Hi, i know you didn't have any files on the sd card you needed but I thought I would mention this software for anyone who recently went through what I did. My girlfriend came to me upset that her card suddenly had no photos on it, so I googled corrupted sd card and it came up with some opensource software called testdisk/photorec. It found almost all the pictures and made me look good...

its called asda over here but steeling a new card isnt much of a fix now is it lol

Try to use disk tools to exam your SD card and format it?

So my SD card broke in the phone

I was swapping out batteries and wasn't paying that close attention and something snapped. The freaking SD card broke in the phone. I have half an SD card in the phone that I am unable to bring out. And the phone doesn't recognize the card anymore either.
Any ideas on what to do now? This sucks balls. Anybody have any experience getting at the card area?
Someone mentioned in another thread to try to use a safety pin to slide the card out.

I tried to search to find something anything but nothing came up.
Maybe superglue a toothpick to the remaining piece of the sd card if you can? then pull it out?

i just did that and now I get no SIM card inserted, **** don't know what I played with
yeah i noticed too how far the sd card sticks out.
yeah so opening up the phone was a snap, pretty easy, but in the process of dislodging the card from the behind, I probably messed up the connection so now the phone won't recognize the card.
Not a big deal, I feel like I have a Galaxy Nexus now.
so instead of 16 gb you only got 8 gb left???
So randomly this morning I'm using the phone and all of a sudden I see a mounting SD card. So it works now.
Keep the hope alive.

Droids and Memory cards MicroSDHC

I was sitting here thinking, How cool it would be if it was possible first, and then if a manufacture would produce a phone that can stack or run multiple SD cards. Kinda like a desktop usually has 4 slots for RAM...
Is there a reason why Phones can't have at least 2 slots for SD cards?
Our phone already has something similar. We have our internal as well as out external. I don't think it will happen though as with how cheap sdhc is most people would rather have 1 large card.

Cool idea but don't see it happening. Hell, some phones such as the GNex don't even have a micro sd slot just large internal.

Wouldn't think multi SD card support but maybe expandable ram for Tablets and hybrid phone/tablets or possibly true USB support as in being able to connect a thumb drive to the phone not just access the phone as a USB mass storage device thru the micro USB/charging port.
I don't even use the 16 gb available to me, but I guess it'd be cool for those with more storage demands
the Sg3, can use two. both 64gb if you have them.

If it did have multiple SD slots you'd be able to setup a RAID array if you were adventurous enough. Might be fun from a hack point of view anyhow...
Dell Streak always had 2 slots, 1 external, 1 internal, internal microsd card can be changed, swapped or upgraded to any size you like with some effort, you have to cut away a section under the battery cover to expose the internal card.

WOW... nice phone! Is it a world phone? I saw GSM on the last paragraph, hoping someone can clarify whether this would work on t mobil
Edit: according to this article it is using the quad core pro chip... I read elsewhere it was using the dual core s4 processor. But I agree esp. If using the quad core chip this looks pretty solid

meh. I'll be waiting for something with a removable battery and micro SD. I just can't be bothered to spend that kind of cash and get something that could get a pooched battery, then what? Besides, nothing beats having a fresh battery. I've been through 4 already with my amaze, which is inconvenient, so what do you do with one that's out of warranty and you get battery issues?
1080p screen 5" screen + HTC phone + LTE + 2020 mAh non replaceable battery = a phone that will barely get you through your work day, if even that.

Google doesn't like SD cards, so I guess other Android OEMs are following too. Read this: http://androidcommunity.com/googles...s-lack-of-sd-cards-in-nexus-devices-20121030/
I'm happy to hear that the Nexus 4 DOES support USB OTG so I can always plug in my external hard drive or flash drive to the phone.

HTC is doing it because they think people care more about how thin the phone is. That's y they got rid of sd card slots and removable batteries

I added this comment there. I'm baffled by that reasoning...
"If someone can figure out how to connect a Nexus device to their PC using a USB, then I'm fairly certain they wouldn't not suddenly become overwhelmed by this "fandangled device" called an external SD card.
They weren't too complicated for people to use in their cameras, and they even had them in their PCs.
You know what's more complicated? Pairing a Bluetooth device, or NFC and yet these technologies remain persistent....
An SD card, you simply pop it in the slot, and if they don't know it's there, then they're not going to lose sleep over it. No settings pop ups, no panic."
It's a cop out to not include them. And there is more motivation to pay for the higher memory device. It's too bad and on occasion I'm sure the normal user doesn't know which one it is saved to... Why not have the slot, but not include a card. That way those who find the concept 'complicated' don't have to bother with purchasing one and others can... Oh well Google, you're crazy!

no kidding. Just briefly looking up the crapple 5, going from 16 to 32 costs you $100, and from 32 to 64 another $100. You can get a 32gig micro sd for $30, there goes their 'profit'.
All it takes is one manufacturer to see what the rest are doing, and offer the feature that people demand, and sell a ton of devices.

Came in to say this. It was funny watching the Best Buy Manger try to put it in and take it out. He had no idea what he was doing until I told him he had it upside down and the wrong way in

Now that's pretty funny! Part of my issue is from the fact I used a SIM cutter to move the SIM from another phone. I was able to push it in further and then use my fingernail to gently pull it out. Thanks for the help!
It's definitely difficult to press in. It seems to sit further in than the MicroSD. My fingernail wouldn't work, I've had to use a paperclip.
