Hi all.
I have a problem with the Samsung Galaxy SII.
Model Number: GT-I9100
Android Version : 2.3.3
Baseband Version: I9100BUKE1
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-I9100BUKE5-CL227058
root DELL101#2
Build number : GINGERBREAD.BUKE5
Carrier: VIPNET (Croatia)
Sometimes when i answer a call i cannot hear anything and so does the person on the other side. If immediately after that i get another call or i am trying to make a call same thing happens only i cannot drop the call and phone loses signal for some time.
Could be a hardware fault, your mic is faulty OR your network providers problem. Try to make few more calls and see if it happens regularly or not.
definitely isn`t network (there were no problems with old phone). i make around 50 calls during the day and it happens 1-2 per day

Hi,
I have a problem with my phone. After installing Darky's ROM i received a signal problem. Now I hoped that CyanogenMOD would solve my problem. It didn't
So I am in the dark now, just wondering how I can fix my signal problem.
So this is what I see:
- Most of the time 1-2 stripes @ signal strength
- Every few seconds my signal strength goes from 0 tot 1-2 stripes (inside)
- When coming outside or I am inside small houses, I can receive a mobile network
- 95% of the time I cannot receive any connection to 3G
- 90% of the time it's saying: "Out of service, emergency Calls only"
- Strange thing is, Wireless doesn't seem to have any problems connecting to modems/routers
- My radio works perfectly
Can anyone help me with this issue? Is it solvable?
Information about my phone:
Model: SGS2
Modelnumber: GT-I9100
Android Version: 2.3.7
Smalbandversion: I9100XXKI3
Kernel-Version: 2.6.35.7-g1e46077 ([email protected] #1)
CPU-info: ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)
Mod-Version: CyanogenMOD-7.1.0-GalaxyS2
Build-Number: GWK74
Have you tried flashing a different radio? How old is your SIM card? Some radios work better/worse with some ROMs. As long as your SD card is relatively new, I'd start with flashing a different radio and then reassess.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Purchased an S3 (i9300) in October - 4.0.4 ICS
Rooted
Flashed CWM Touch 6.1.2
Updated ROM to stock UK ROM - JB 4.1.1
On both the ICS ROM and the JB ROM I had a problem with call volume fading during calls.
I can hear the other end perfectly on both speakerphone and normal, but........
about once every 6 minutes for 10 seconds the call recipient says my voice becomes indistinct to the point of not hearing me. Bluetooth headset doesn't help.
It doesn't matter whether I call them or they call me.
I have 5 bars of signal on my phone and it happens when I'm calling a fixed line phone or a mobile.
I'm with Telstra Australia and have had them run tests which reveal nothing..
Samsung haven't heard of the problem.
Has anyone come across this problem?
Suggested Fix??
it's the modem I think I'm in Sydney and I had too try a few different ones till I found XXDID works good on Telstra

All those issues are modem/baseband related. Find the modem that suits with your provider, there is a thread dedicated to modems.
This is more of a question for very advanced users (possibly experienced in unlocking hundreds of phones with boxes like nspro or riff).
Very strange - the same unusual problem that I have seen now TWICE in two i9100 phones. Both from Orange (ORO) and unlocked I believe with nspro. Both were with older Android versions (4.03 or so).
The phones start OK and register fine on non-ORO network with their SIM. Calls can be placed and received. However after about 2 hours no new calls can be RECEIVED - the phone can still make calls, but when somebody else is calling it - the phone looks from the calling end like it is turned off or out of coverage area (or in some deep sleep of the modem). Once you try to place a CALL from the phone it works, and then the phone can RECEIVE calls OK - but only for another 2 hours or so.
EDIT:
The problem is present in both original 4.03 and latest 4.1.2 with any modem+ril combination that I tried, including the latest once from the original ORO network.

Would really appreciate suggestions on fix a radio problem that I am facing with my LG L9 MS 769 phone running Android 4.1.2.
Issue: I stay at a place where the radio signal is quite poor and most often the signal indicator in the home screen indicates it does have some signal reception. Installed signal meters that display 87dBm., but if I try to make a call I get a message that says "Emergency calls only". This is observed only when the signal falls to zero and comes up again.
Phone information:
Android : 4.1.2
Baseband: L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1305.00
Kernel: 3.0.31
Build: JZO54K
Soft.Ver: LGMS76910f
Observations: Additionally, in this situation even though the radio reports/has some signal, the CellID and the Operators are not registered.
Could you please provide your suggestions/any other forum link where a possible solution is provided.
