(Edit: The post I was referring to is here by Hooolm. I can't believe I've been missing it. Anyways, I was really inspired by his work but I just can't stand that green color!)
Sorry if this is common knowledge or posted somewhere else but I searched and couldn't find anything similar. I know there's another post that may be similar and I thought I bookmarked it but I guess I didn't.
Anyway, I really, really hate the default green icons and couldn't find anyway to change them via a theme or small zip from someone else, so I decided to try and change them myself.
I am somewhat familiar with apk manager and I came across 4.9 honeycomb edition located here by tphillips (thanks bro) and decided to dig around the usual suspect apk's and see if I could find those icons myself.
I finally found the ones I wanted in SystemUI.apk in SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-xlarge-mdpi but finding the icons and swapping them out was another thing.
After much aggravation and FC's, on a whim after re-reading tphillips thread, I changed the compression to zero and that was it.
Here is a picture of two of the icons I've changed so far. I still have to change the rest of them but it's getting late and I just wanted to share this with anyone else who might want to change out those icons themselves.

btw I'm using wifi only version with Bonsai 3.0 and pershoots latest kernel
The next thing I would like to change is the default battery icons in the taskbar. I think I've already found those icons but if someone else would be so kind as to verify their location that would be much appreciated
Here are my icons after redoing them this morning. I'm happy with it and think I'll stick with those for a while.

Hi there,
Terribly n00bish question, I am aware of this, but I couldn't find anything around.
How hard would it be to port the stock GB theme to the Arc? I love it to bits but the blue app background kinda ruins having any theme other than a blue one, and looks messier than the normal black background.
I know I'm being picky but it seems something that may go down well. Even better would be a port of the blue GB themes so you have the clean look of GB but consistency with the SE apps.
I'm pathetic at Android development so I will gladly help in any way I can, but as it is, I'm hopeless at it so doing it myself is a lost cause >.<

Did you only change that battery ?
Did you upload your framework-res.apk or another file ?
Also how did you flash it, or did you just replace the framework-res.apk in /system/app/
Questions i know, but dont really fancy a boot loop lol
Is it possible to use this to build up a stock theme or is it only certain mods that it can do?
I've searched everywhere on this forum and others but I haven't found anything close to what I'm looking for so I'm hoping some one will be able to help me out with this one.
The image I'm looking for is the background for the Night Time weather lock screen on the 3.0 Sense. Just in case I worded that wrong when I first hit the power button at night the lock screen loads with the moon, time, date, (Current) ect. There is a dark image in the background after the animation clouds clear with a grid pattern from the bottom of the page to the middle and a distant starry night sky from the middle up through the time.
Even if it's that image with the moon I don't care the moon is a clean image either way I am going crazy looking for it, I figured it would be an easy find considering but apparently not.
I still haven't found it yet, if anyone can help me out it would mean a lot.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks so much for those. I'll have to look through the files, Thanks again for that.
I know ICS is still kind of fresh, but I was looking for some input as to whether or not the "sprint" text is changeable in the following two places outlined in red:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I recently flashed my phone to Cricket, so It's just kind of annoying to see sprint there. Any help is appreciated, just looking for a direction to go in.
p.s. I'm running JoelZ9614's beta if it matters.
check in systemUI.apk/res/values/strings and look for references to "operator" - maybe you'll get lucky? ^^ that would be for dropdown. The LS one is probably in whatever houses the LS, haven't ripped ICS apart for a few weeks so I can't remember, maybe the facelock.apk or if you're lucky "lockscreen.apk" lol.
Thanks Duce! I went looking for a while and couldn't find anything except something pointing to /data/eri.xml. I remember doing that trick on my 4G. So I went the long way and decompiled framework-res and there was the eri.xml. Changed "sprint" to whatever, and it works. You can also add the eri.xml to /data/ and that works as well. Thanks again though.
If anyone else wants to, just download THIS and extract eri.xml and open it. Just edit the "sprint" part in the quotes to whatever you want, save, place xml in /data/. Then reboot and enjoy.
Luckily there's a setting in Joel's Ics rom that does it for ya. Changes it in the notification bar as well

Just wondering if that clock widget exists and where to find it.
No. This has been asked heaps of times on here this year. It's just a mock up/Photoshop job. If it did exist, XDA would be crawling with posts about it & links where you could get it.
Bummer hope someone look into making it. I'll have to look into it. Guess I'll have to read up since I'm not that skilled. Someone skilled could probably do it. Oh well. Thanks for the answer. If anyone stumble across this widget then let me know.
No probs Yeah, if you were into art/graphic design & a bit of coding I'm sure someone could make it.
Hope someone gets inspired to do it. I could manage the graphic design but need knowledge for the coding. Maybe I should find a clock widget and strip it down and then I'll get an idea of how to do it. We'll see if won't promise anything as I've not exactly developed since the windows mobile era.
Now it´s possible..
Hi,
After some heavy searching I found a solution.
Install Ultimate Clock widget and then use the skin by Dom1n8tr1x found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=25456161
Thanks to these guys you can now enjoy the widget! Works fine on my Galaxy s2, just had to move the temperature a bit.
Attached printscreen of widget in action...
Let's face it, Rosie lags. And it lags hard on our Flyer. When I had the HTC Desire HD, I found out about this wonderful mod. I checked the thread and there is a version for virtually every other HTC device except the Flyer, even the Jetstream, which has exactly the same software version!
So, I figured, if it works on the Jetstream, it has to work on the Flyer. So I flashed it. The outcome was almost perfect. No lags. There is only one problem, which kind of makes it unusable: the top bar needs resizing, because the "All Apps" icon can't be pressed.
So my request is: Does anyone here have resizing skills? I'd be happy to beta test. If we can manage to get it to work, it will be really worth it.
Thanks. Julian
EDIT: Here are screenshots of the homescreen, showing the resizing problem and the flatened widgets. (it works)

Just for whoever will hopefully work on that, have a link for that MOD?

I do, give me a couple minutes, and I will upload a photo of the homescreen and a link to the MOD. We can really pull this off, guys. And it will make our beautiful Flyers be more pleasant to use.
EDIT: Done, there you have the link and a couple screenshots (I know they are huge and make my post ugly, but I'm a noob here
You could ask Scabes24 or MoonNah, they sure can help you (and hope they will).

I got it almost perfectly done, look at the other post in the forum and give it a spin
Sorry, there are too many quirks for now.
