Of course you need root. Why don't you just root it? It's a 10 second process mate.

I've had this
No worries,
I've had this a long time ago. Actually is an Android reset-soft boot, I bet that you can hear the Galaxy wav also. Try and update the rom or check what apks you've installed during the period this showed up. Also drain the the battery till it shuts off, start it in download mode [ Vol down+home+power then Vol up to confirm] leave it that way until it powers off THEN charge it while off. This should reset the battery stats.

Thanks ....
Actually i want to but there is just too much confusion around the steps since so many ways are mentioned on the net and on Xda too ....

Root is simple but root does not fix anything at all only allows a deeper level for program access .
Definite method .
Root + CWM .

The problem is that when I try and press on certain parts of the screen, it doesnt work o.0 BUT if I move my finger really quickly it will complet the test hmm (pict bellow).
Someone told me something like "you need to use a diferent charger", but I dont think thats the problem... what do you think?

Cheers and thanks!
P.S. I just updated to ICS (oficial) and still the same.
if thats happening while ur on charger, than yes change the charger.
if you are on custom ROM wipe and flash stock using odin not custom.
better to complete wipe including system partition.
Hi, thanks for the reply. This happens when charching and on the go too (not charching). I have stock ICS official.
Its very strange :/
Just wipe your cache/factory reset/erase all data/and then fully charge phone while off before first boot, last but not least wipe your battery stats in your cwm recovery, then boot, voila problem gone, and stop using diffrent charger's, use only samsung official charger

Thanks for the reply. I dont have CWM recovery (my phone is not rooted and I dont plan do root it). I will try and let him drain the batery, then I will wipe everything and recharg while off...
Oh yes, I allmost forgot... Example, when I am on google Play, there is a zone that is untouchble... (exmaple, the "acept and download" button) hmmm... seems like a Hardware problem lets just see after that test then
YES ITS A HARDWARE PROBLEM, YOU HAVE NON WORKING TOUCH LINES, YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR TOUCH SCREEN, HERE THE GUIDE, I KNOW YOU'LL NEVER DO IT, BUT IT'S THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS, PRESS THANKS BUTTON

[Q] Please help, found everything except this...

Hi everyone, Ive had an atrix 4g for about a week now. (Coming from windows phone)I rooted it through the command line tutorials that are all over the place and it worked great, BUT it still had a locked boot-loader. So I was messing around with rom toolbox and tried changing a battery icon lol. Well, the next time i re booted it was stuck on the dual core screen. So I tried flashing the boot.img and system.img files. system.img always failed to write. Well, all my messing with it got me a soft brick (or hard brick lol). I get the failed to find OS and the 14 options listed. So after more searching I read about RSD lite and loading the .sbf files. Everything was going perfect, until the battery went to low and the process failed. I tried again and just get the "battery to low to flash" message. I tried taking out the battery then plugging it into a wall charger then putting the battery back in. The phone auto comes on and gives me the same error and 14 option list so I decided to let it sit and see if the battery charges, but nothing after three hours. I tried searching for this solution before posting, but Ive searched and learned so much in two days lol i figured I would try a real person.
I don't have an extra battery, or an external charger. Is there a solution to getting the battery charged through the phone still? I want to get this phone fixed asap lol so I don't give in and get a new phone I cant afford lol.
Thanks everyone this forum has been great!
You have two options:
1) Find someone with an atrix and ask them to charge your battery for you. You could go to a store and ask them for help.
2) Purchase / build a Motorola Factory Cable. That will allow you to flash the phone regardless of the battery status.
Good luck!

thanks again

[Q] GS2 AOKP root problems

Hi all,
I have a gs2 with AOKP rom and Dorimanx 9.15 kernel. However, it has been unstable with a range of problems that I would never have imagined:
1. Random hanging/freezing
2. Does not wake up from sleep
3. Battery bar drops down 30% (or more) after reboot
4. Internal SD card repeatedly "unmounted" (how is that possible? :S)
5. Poor battery life (maybe 2 hrs of screen life if I'm lucky)
6. more I cant name off the top of my head X_X
Any ideas/suggestions from anyone?

Try a stock firmware ICS/JB from www.sammobile.com pertained to ur region by flashing the same thro ODIN, and then see for a day or two whether ur phone has the same issue as in AOKP, just to rule out any hardware issue

Hi thanks for your input. After trying stock gs2 it was fine. So it wasn't the hardware problem.
However, I did find that it was the dashclock widget with the facebook extension that liked to screw things up for me. So removing that has fixed everything. Don't know how that can possibly have an impact on my system but no more weird stuff

Battery % increase after a reboot, please help ...

i Have tried battery calibration but it does not work
please tell me some other ways to solve it
whenever i turn off the screen and put it in sleeping/standby mode (meaning when the screen is of and im not using it) ,
the battery decreases all of a sudden (displayed in the picture at point 1.)
so when i reboot it, the battery recharges it self, the battery percent increases about 20% after a reboot ( displayed in the picture at point 2.)
please help
this happens when i flash cyanogenmod roms , this happened on cm.10.1.3 and cm.10.2 :crying:
but whenever i go back to stock xperia rom, it is solved by it self.

i searched it online and the best solution was to wipe it through recovery
but when i tried doing this, there is no such option
many recoveries dont have this option anymore, only wipe dalvik cache is present there
therefore my recovery does not have the option to wipe battery states
Don't quote me. But I think the app ROM toolbox has that option
Chris B.
It's just a bug with these ROMS, I guess...

:good: thanks
i ll try it righ now
and ill tell if it worked or not

Chris B.
one question, should i wipe battery states after it charges 100% or before that ???
I recommend turning off the device while charging it. When it is full, boot up. Let the battery charge fully again while its plugged in. It should only be a cpl percent to charge fully. Then wipe batt stats. That's what I do anyways.

In the begining it worked on charger all the time but as the time went by the problem was worse and it was stuck on bootloop on charger also. I tried new battery but it didnt work, also i tried flashing new ROM and nothing has changed. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

No, i tried everything but nothing worked, i guess it's some hardware problem
Alpha stucked in bootloop
Hi all Alpha people,
Got also in stucked bootloop SM-G850F.
I took out battery, press power button a few seconds,
Reinsert accu and quickly press vol. down+home and power.
After a few attempts the device turned to download mode
and was ready to install stock rom, found by sammobile.
Perhaps trying recovery if you have one. Greets Nick
Solved
I had the same trouble, buyed a new battery and the problem continues. The solution is to use a small piece of paper to adjust the battery. Please check the images attached of the solution. Hope will help to other people with the same trouble.
