I didn't want to hijack, this thread wth my problems
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294113
I know that the less technical members like myself should just wait until you guys sort develope things,,
But, I am very keen
Anyway, I hope I am not thie only person having problems, any advice would be very much appeciated
This is what I have done,
Copied VRdriver.dll to the windows directory
Unloaded com6
Unloaded Ril
Import Serial and VR Serial reg entries using taskmgr
Run Trusted.cab file
I do a soft reset
Com6 starts automatically, now showing VRDriver.dll (all ok up to this point)
Try to start RIL - error message - Device Load Error The operation completed sucessfully.
I have even tried a hard reset and starting from scratch, but I just can't get RIL to start.
As per the other thread I have changed the order of RIL from 3 to 4 and this is saved in the registry, but it just won't start.
Any ideas.. would appreciate help not complaints..
Thanks Guys

you dont need to soft reset your device... just use task manager to stop COM6 and RIL, copy the dll and import the reg files and start the services again...

My advice from a non developer but one who reads the threads:
Wait until the 4 or 5 satellites are actually picking up enough strength to get a fix, which probably wont happen unless you do a hardware mod which isnt even figured out yet.
First, thanks for taking this out of the development thread tbern123. Nicely done
Let me get this straight: When you cold reset, you still don't have a radio and RIL doesn't start?
If this is the case then your problem has nothing to do with the VRSerial driver or the GPS installation.

I can get Com 6 to load now, but still no luck with RIL.... I think I will leave it and just follow the other threads until a solution is found..

tried copying over to prophet but have not done any modification yet. Looks like we need more changes to make it work in our device. Guess I need help from experts here. Below is the screenshot of my failed attempt.
i hope someone will make it work well on our device !
can't wait to have this new keyboard, it seems awesome
there are two things that i need to do now...
1. get the mapping right...which I am trying figure out now
2. produce it as a cab file so that everyone here can use it...have to worry about this later since i have no experience creating a cab file
it's working on my prophet now but for some strange reason it only works in Word mobile I don't know why but I'm looking into it
Edit:
It works in most apps but only when making a new file or document.
i had little success, suspecting picture files are not complete. if you looking at the entire sets of image file, you will probably see various file similar to those in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=331155 and registry key may have point to the wrong files as well.
as for me, i managed to get to the stage same as shown in the thread. but after typing a few keys , it went haywire....sigh...
Try this http://www.cootek.com/ and quity wasting your time ...
thanks..i have mentioned that to fellow members before. maybe i shld wait for the official release by end of this month
the cootek software is pretty nice
too bad there's no multilanguage support yet
I've been using a Galaxy SIII, already rooted and installed Omega 5.2 without any gsm service provider restrictions. (It's "Turkcell" by the way)
I've been experiencing a problem with BT.
There are no problems with enabling the BT, searching and pairing with any devices and also receiving files. But when I try to send any file to any device, I always get a message as "the file could not be sent". No more explainations..!
Here you may see a screenshot of my device properties as attached. (It's in Turkish but I highlighted the needed info).
What may be the problem and how can I fix it? Thanks for any tips and help.
Regards,
Burak
I'm getting this on stock as well. Looks like no one else is getting the same issue? I might need to get the device to the service center...
Problem
Start an app that uses GPS (such as Maps), and then use a root file explorer to look in /data/gps/ , you will see the file gldata.sto, but you will not see lto.dat. This contains long term orbit data used to speed up a GPS fix from a cold start. If you see this file, then the fix posted here is not needed.
Cause
If you enable logging and look in the log file, you will see a line like this: LBS: Error resolving address from bcmls2.glpals.com. I have no idea why it can't resolve the DNS, but this prevents the file from being downloaded. This address is stored in the /system/etc/gps_brcm_conf.xml file. You will see the following: LbsServer="BCMLS2.glpals.com"
Fix
Simply change this to the resolved IP address and it should resolve the problem. I have attached a zip that you can install from recovery so you don't need to make the modification manually.
I have tested this on P769. Please give feedback on whether this works for you, and whether this helps for other L9 models.
Thanks, testing today with endomondo running...
After test, working fine for me on P760 with cm11.
Thanks so much
Hey everyone, I seem to have a problem that's really irritating me. I used .net reflector to edit some dll's in an app in an attempt to mod it. Well, when I go to compile the apk (using option 12) I get an error. I don't know how to fix this error, but it seems like it's due to a missing file maybe? I've already redownloaded it twice and still get the same error. Any help would be greatly appreicated.
I have a youtube video, but apparently it says I can't post outside links? -_-
