[Q] WM 6.5 & Android SD - HD2 Android SD Development

Hi, I am wondering could someone tell me the best method to install a dual boot Windows Mobile and Android (on SD) on HD2. Please accept my apologies if the information is elswhere on the site. I have tried a few methods but none were completely succesfull. What I want to achieve is Nand WM with space dedicated to it on SD and Android SD with its own partitions. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You

That's a good solution. Also, fwiw... I don't believe you have to partition your SD card. There may be some advantages to doing it that way but I never did, and my dual boot setup works fine. WM NAND and SD android peacefully co-exist on my HD2. ...and BTW, I'm not the forum police, but (I think) this thread belongs in Android General Q&A. Not here. Good Luck!

Thanks hadn't tried Android loader final

Thanks folks! Apologies for putting thread in the wrong forum!

[Q] Questions from a new HD2-Android noob user!

I know that many of these questions are already answered but i couldn't understand how to do it so here it goes.
I know how to install custom roms/radios/mods etc on HD2 but only on WinMO.
I saw on a friends HD2 android software and i really loved it.
I have a custom rom on my hd2 (omega v14.4/radio 2.10.50.28_2) and i need your help to install ANDROID on it.
Is there a dual bootloader or a specific procedure to run android?
I have to format the phone and install only android on it or there are both on the phone?
Which is the best ROM so far for it?
Battery consumption/signal/gps etc remain functionable like in WinMO?
Thanks for your help! Waiting for your answers!
read the posts and you will find your answers, installing android is simple enough just copy over the android folder to the sd card, all this is covered in the stickies and many other posts in the android area
Thanks for the reply.
You know... it's my first time and i dont want to brick my phone
Could you point out to me a good stable rom? Are the android roms for everyday use or still in pure development?
Thanks. I managed to do it. A few things dont work though but it's very nice and fast!

Installing Android on SD in WM 6.5 help

I've been browsing the forums, but I can't find the answer and I used the search function, but there are too many irrelevant threads. So can someone give me a straight answer or a link that explains how to install whatever I need to boot Android from an SD card in Windows Mobile 6.5?

Did you not notice the guides in stickies?
Did you not notice the forum titled "HD2 Android Q&A and General"
Did you not noticed the sub-title labelled "For general discussion and questions specific to Android development for the HTC HD2"
PS. You could have at least said thanks to the poster above who wiped your backside for you.

SD/NAND? is custom roms even an option?

Hey guys I have just come from a HTC imagio which is a windows mobile device with no option of having android, Although recently I bought a HTC HD2 which does have the option to put android on it.
Now my question to you is WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE between Nand and SD card rooting? ( I think that's the right terminology).
And are there relitivly simple ways of roming android onto my device other than rooting like with the imagio all I had to do was Hardspl then rom?
Just some info about what i'm getting my head into would be nice.
If this breaks any forum rules just delete it Mr Moderator.

Don't know if there is any way to dual boot your device, but to install the OS, see here: http://omokute.blogspot.com/2009/11/android-on-htc-opal.html .

LOA on sd-card

Hello,
I had found a thread on XDA by a user whose name started with david. The thread was about his progress in installing Linux On Android onto his external sd-card by partitioning it. I am having difficulty in finding that thread. It was in the Android Development Section of some device which I cannot seem to remember. Please help me find it. Thank you
