This weekend phantomskinz.com is having a half off thier chromatics and carbon fiber full body kits. For the transformer they only offer the carbonfiber kits and in black or white. It comes with a full body kit and a screen protector which i already have and it fits great. I also have this carbon fiber kit on my HTC EVO and its damn near invincible. Ive had it a year and have yet to scratch it.
Normally this is 39.99, but get it now for 19.99. I just ordered mine.

I have something similar on my HD2 made in Australia, excellent piece of kit, will see if this company will ship to UK
Do they do one for the dock as well or just the tablet ?
If you want to buy the "regular" screen protector without the Chromatics kit I can also recommend the code "fall30" which gives 30% off everything.
I just bought skins for our Motorola Defys' and a screen protector for the Transformer. (On top of that they also have 2 for the price of 1 for phones/pdas/etc.. Unfortunately not Tablets. http://phantomskinz.com/internetspecial.aspx )
Doesn't one of these Chromatic kits look rather corny if you have the keyboard dock btw? It was a deal breaker for me when I couldn't skin the dock as well. White/black carbon + the brown Transformer dock doesn't seem like a match made in heaven to me?

I never use the front part of the kits, and as for the dock, think of all the laptop cap replacements and decals they make. Same idea. Again not using the fronts. I probably won't use the sides either. I just want something to protect the back when I set it down.

i decided to purchase this for my transformer and i just got the case today. the price to me was pretty good, the quality of this carrying case or bag is great. i am not sure how many people just went for the tablet itself or intend to purchase it along with the docking keyboard. I plan on getting my tablet with the docking keyboard and from the looks of it right now, there should be enough room to fit them both inside this case nicely. i fit my tablet in there and there is still room to spare. there is also separate zipper compartment for other small accessories. flash drives, charging cables... etc. everything should fit fine. they also have a brown one available but that cost a few bucks extra, it might even match up with the transformer well. but i went for the black to save a few bucks and you can't really go wrong with black. while this is a bit thicker than just a plan sleeve, i feel it doesn't really show in this case. it looks slim for all the room it has. there are handles to make it easy to carry and even an additional/optional body strap included. i am sure this may not be for everyone but if it helps a few people, that would be great.

Glad to hear you like it. I plan to use it with the keyboard, so I'm looking forward to this case.
i bought the same one!
@OP
Thanks for sharing your experience with this product. I just ordered a brown one off Amazon; looks to me like it matches the brownish color hue of the Transformer & dock very well. I went for both so something that could cary and protect my investment safely.

Down to $13.22!
For the black version that is.
Could someone please confirm it that a TF101 with dock will fit this bag? As none of the posters had the dock or case to check it for real.

I have this case also and I can confirm that the docked Transformer fits. For the price it really is a nice case.
Has anybody here used the Decalgirl skins before? They look really nice and I was thinking of getting one for my View.
I havent used that specific brand of decal skins but I have 3 different decals I got from eBay a while back for my EVO 4g phone and they are decent for protection but even better in the looks department.

I might give them a try
They are cheaper than Skin-it's offerings for the flyer and I like the matte finish option - less cheesy looking.
That being said, I have a Skin-it decal on an 5 year old laptop and it still looks great.
I purchased the matte finish Haiku skin from decalgirl and am very pleased with the results. I will probably take the front frame skin off my Flyer because I don't think it adds anything to the tablet. Plus, I didn't line up the home, options, and back cut outs as well as I would have liked. As an added bonus, decalgirl includes a free JPEG download of the image which I think looks way cool. The water ripples in the picture align well with the decal frame.
Overall quality of the skin is excellent. The back was easy to apply and adjust. I don't think the thin frame skin would survive too much adjustment before it starts to stretch.

It looks nice, got me thinking about getting one now. How does it feel in the hand?
The matte finish on the flyer feels the same as without the decal. Really no difference.

Is it just the back and a thin frame? Or is there a screen protector? Not interested in the frame part. Just wanted a back and screpen protector.
It actually came in 5 pieces. The back, the SD card cover, the frame and two pieces to cover the thin strip below the power button and the USB end. I didn't bother putting on the thin strips and I took the frame cover off in a couple of days because I think the shiny frame looks better.
The decal doesn't come with a screen protector but I have one from zagg which I highly recommend.
I am very pleased with the decal and the included wallpaper download is a nice touch.

looks nice , thanks
I purchased a DecalGirl Skin for a client's Macbook Air. Very impressive, and good customer service. I didn't get the Matte...we ordered the glossy. It was incredibly precise, and even wrapped around the keyboard. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again...especially since a lot of their skins have a matching wallpaper to complete the look.
Coming from an iPad2, the only thing i miss was my smart cover. Allowed protection without adding bulk.
I know it wouldnt work quite the same but I saw something similar for a Galaxy tab. It has a thin (metal/plastic?) backplate to hold the front piece. Perhaps it could be magnetic where the two ends meet to keep it closed.
Anything like this already available?

The closest there is right now is the Asus case, its a sleeve with a standing back but its the thinnest I've seen.

Sikai case ordered from eBay. Like original iPad cover but with some smart cover like foldin fir different viewing angles.
+1 for this. I m hoping that something like this comes out soon too!!!!
They should just make something with a hard back and 4 little lips that go over the corners with a hinge on one side for the flap with magnets.
Seems very easy to make.

Cheers for that, just what I've been looking for. Ordered one.
Reports that the Sikai magnets screw with the digital compass used for google maps and such.
Kinda iffy now. I also don't want black. I'd like white or some bright color.
difficult to developing a smart cover case for TF101.
Couldn't the Samsung one fit the TF? Aren't they the same size?
Right now I have a casecrown portfolio case, but I would like to see something like a smartcover (rather Samsung's version of smart cover where you have all round protection including the back.
For those who haven't seen the samsung's smartcover ripoff, here it is:

No they are not, all android tablets out there have different sizes. Screen size doesn't matter much when you are looking for a case with a perfect fit.
I finally decided to get the white carbon fiber ghost armor to put on my phone. Sorry for the crappy pics right now, will upload better ones when I get my hands on my camera.
What I paid: 37$ for the entire job, it was a definitely a little pricey but I think it was worth it... considering that was including installation... and that now my phone looks SICK. The carbon fiber job doesn't really offer that much protection against drops but it is scratch resistant and pretty durable. The kit will include ghost armor though which you can put underneath and the carbon fiber stuff on top.
If you guys want to just buy it and install it yourselves here is a coupon code for 20% off: Ga4life.
Here are a couple pictures:

EDIT: my bad needs to be moved to accessories section -.-
Great product. Got mine done at the mall, got a pretty awesome deal [free]. It looks awesome, but I would never try to put it on myself, and I put on screen protectors daily. It fits the phone perfect, keeps it protected, and it still works in my car dock. Mine's black, but your pics are busted, so I'll throw some in. A couple of them I was just playing with my new camera, so had to do the double color long exposure, and show it off, lol.
wth howd u get it done for free? nd idk if this one peels im thinking about the black one!
Read the sig, it'll make since. I don't think you'll have a problem with it peeling, mine is on there very well, and shows no signs of degrading in any way, and I've had it on for over a month.
I don't understand why the kiosk at the mall in CT says they don't make them for the gs II. They claim nothing will stick to the textured back yet the ghost armor website clearly sells them.
Wtf.

Hi guys I have just ordered these screen protectors from Amazon: Ecell Screen Protectors
If anyone has any experience with these please go ahead and add your thoughts.
According to the pictures its just a straight cut screen protector with one hole for camera and one for earpiece and not how the original sony one comes i.e. with the cut out.
I will be reviewing these when they arrive.
Edit 21/08/2012 : Hi guys I ordered off Amazon screen protectors made by MediaDevil. Formerly known as Phonedevil. Two words. Absolutely Brilliant!
The cut is perfect, feels like im typing on a brand new, out of the box phone. When applied properly you cant tell its on.
Its exactly like the ecell one. I.e. The whole screen is covered except its a glossy finish

Ecell are based in Hong Kong but ship from Manchester. They have a plethora of cheap accessories mainly because they are based in Hong Kong so they have the ability to obtain very cheap accessories at a very low price. They also have a plethora of negative reviews and quite a cult following to stop them trading on sites like Ebay & Amazon, for many reasons. My guess is this screen protector would not be of high quality, don't be surprised if the dimensions are not correct also. Just a heads up
Ahh damn looks like I made a mistake. Thanks for the heads up though
