Has anyone heard anything regarding the development of Swype? I wanted to give it a shot again but I couldn't find it on xda and I wanted to see if anyone has heard of an ETA for the official release.
Edit: Just realized I named the thread Skype instead of Swype, I also put it in the wrong section. Sorry about that, I really wasn't paying attention. I'm doing too many things at the same time.

You can change the name of the thread by changing the subject line in your first post by using the "advanced edit" option.
And you can just request a mod to move it, or they will see it eventually.
And about the question I have not seen any updates for swype beta recently. I can't use it as a standalone keyboard though.
When I had the EVO Shift 4G with a hardware keyboard it was perfect though

It happens to the best of us on occasion for different reasons, I've seen the excitement issue pop its head up before. But at least you manned up.
Same thing happened in one of the razr threads a while back, and the guy had too much pride to admit he was wrong. So he tried to carry in this obviously lie that he was the one person in the world who got ICS pushed OTA to his phone. That was a different case, you made an honest mistake. I respect your apology and don't think anyone will be too hard on you unless they just want to find an easy target to be a dickhead towards.

I'm not much into programming but am willing to give my honest (and in my opinion tasteful opinion) if anyone needs a tester for certain things; themes, what have you. Oh and by the way... If anyone wants a mirror to some file i'd be happy to upload to my dropbox and give a link. Just to help out..

They don't. If the developers offer it that's all well and great and if you ask in their thread has usually okay too but making a thread is simply not necessary.

I understand it's not entirely necessary. but why not? I just read all the rules and there's absolutely nothing that says anything against this thread. The rules do mention things against what has been said about the guy starting this thread. And rule #10 seems to make starting this thread perfectly ok, right?
You want to help? Then find a thread where you have expertise or desire and post in it. Starting one of these threads is unnecessary and starting two just shows how clueless you are. I won't even comment on the racial undertones of his member name.

dont judge the entire forum by the actions of a few trolls. we are plenty willing to help. take a look at some of the roms posted here and get a feel for what each of them offer. each person wants something different.
