I can't find much info on this. Anyone with an optimus t have any opinions? Right now, my top 2 are the cm7.1 for p500 and the cm7 specificaly for the p509.
I'm also using an optimus t and I have to say that miks cm7 is the most stable. its a p500 rom but it works fine on the p509.

I have to agree
openOptimus-build-1.148 is the best ROM out there
The stablest with all features working great i think that is lol 1.4.2 rom.......and if you flash dookmatt s kernel then you will have great performance..........
I said this because open optimus cannot play divx videos....otherwise if you dont want to watch. .avi or high quality divx then flash whatever you want......
I prefer all features of our phones works correctly and LOL does this

I would go for CM7 or Devoid by franco..
I'm using Void. rom(echo) and I personally think it's GREAT!!!!
CM7 andy is the best ROM for me (performance and game)
stock rom with francos kernel and move2sdenable and sdcardspeedboost should kickass
Tigerblood v1.0.0 is AWESOMENESS!

Try dook's Hypnos if you use mobile data (2.2.2 provides better battery life with mobile data on for some reason)... even without overclock, it performs wonderfully!
If you don't, try franco's devoid+kernel.

Hi, I just spent the last few days reading all the stickies and guides learning how to flash a custom rom. I think I'm ready.
I (will) have a P509 soon which I will be using on Wind Mobile in Canada. It uses the same AWS 1700 freq but doesn't support wifi calling afaik.
I was contemplating between mik_os' 6.5.5 and this one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1072252). The latter one says,
Note: Wifi Calling may cause serious problems on your phone if your carrier does not have support for it.

Is wifi calling something I can just turn off within settings? Or can I not use this rom given that Wind does not support wifi calling?
Thanks.
Im just using stock tbh. Wait for 2.3 offical

Are you using at least a custom kernel to fix the touch screen bug? Have you tried custom roms and found them to be buggy? Just want to know your reason for sticking with stock (2.2?).

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you consider that to be the most stable / least-bug combination as well?
If your talking about it freezes up for a bit. Then no. in using francos kernel as well. Just all the roms seem not appealing to me

Can someone one say to me if i can overclock my optimus t to 1GHz or 900HMz????
nope. the highest it can be overclocked to is around 806 mhz
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I've seen some one go up to 825 but like above said most only go to 806. This doesn't mean this is a slow phone though. It's very smooth in the home screens and scrolling.

the bugs can be found in the first post of this thread
i wouldnt really call them bugs since they really dont affect daily use of your phone

Since Joining this community and a self admitted noob. I am in NO WAY a developer of any kind. Just someone, who because of xda learned to root and flash and enjoy the power you folks have allowed me to unleash on an otherwise introductory android phone that is the optimus T. Here is my dilema. All you Devs have created such amazing Roms, I can't make up my mind on which one to use for my everyday!! I am looking for a fast powerful Rom. I have alot of Apps (not games, more like productivity apps) can the more expierenced family members make some suggestions on what would be the best choice for my daily use Rom. Thank-you XDA!!!!

You could try miks cm7 and custumize it yourself
or you could use a theme Rom that is outstanding in the Theme section.
Hope you can find a ROM that suits you

Hmm...i can only think of CyanogenMod 7.
If you are willing to wait, the excellent Oxygen rom or Andy's Phoenix rom has some bugs but will be ironed out soon.
I am totally willing to wait. The work these guys do is such an art form dude. And just like painting a picture or jamming a song they share it with the fans. ITS GREAT. So you think I should run with the current stable version of miks cm7 for right now?

@Sorry2U Thanks for the advice.
On an unrelated note. Being 27 years of age and a child of the 80s. I am a HUGE fan of the Trannsformers. Love all the films and I thought you might appreciate the fact that I have tattoos of both autobot and decepticons on both shoulders with "good" and "evil" underneath there symbol. Its my favorite representation of the eternal battle between good and evil.
Cheers xda!

Ok brotherrs and sisters. I'm running miks cm7. What's the best way to go as far as the overclock and my govener setting? IV been going with 748/320 set at smartassV2 it seems to be serving me well, but again......in the big picture..what do I know? Anyone have any tips??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Get yourself fserves goldenleaf kernel or francos modified kernel..its an excellent combo wit miks cm7!
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
put min freq. to 480 mhz and max to 729 mhz
don't usse any other apk to overclock use cyan default one
and if you want to use another apk than this then no frill will be great
but don't use setcpu coz it runs like service
I have the optimus t as well use miks CM7 it is the fastest and most customizable ROM out there
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App running CM7 over clocked at 806
I have used miks cm7 and I'm currently using Andy's Phoenix rom and from my experience with the two, I have to say that Andy's rom is by far a lot faster than miks cm7

I'm just waiting for new release - i need a more polished rom. Last bugfix quite disappointed me hehe.

brothers and sisters. I'm sticking with CM7 for my every day rom. Goldenleaf kernal. 749/480 INTERactiveX. I have a great battery life, and multitasking is smooth as a jazz club in NYC. And for my hanging around the house on a weekend Rom IV gone with Void #Froyo Final. Latest Franco Kernal. Same OC as my CM7. And I opted with the Froyo Rom. Because of the terrible cell signal where I live, so Tmobiles life saving wifi calling App which doesn't work on 2.3.X Roms, is a must! thank you to ALL in this family for the suggestions thank you more to all who create these wonderful pieces of art and share them with there fans. CHEERS XDA!!!

Hello!
I'm going to upgrade my fathers Phone from CM7.0 to another ROM.
Which is the most stable ROM for everyday use and won't ever crash?
I preferable want a GB-based ROM.
Also for the kernel, I would like one that has long battery-time but it doesn't need to be the fastest.
Should I just got with CM7.2 and stock kernel?
Sent from my Optimus 2x via Tapatalk 2
If its GB you want then probably cm7.2 is probably the way to go, not sure about changing kernel from the one that would come with cm7.2 for "stock" kernel, I would have thought the cm7.2 should be the newest and most stable?

I have good experiences with HomICS, which is based on CM7.2 (Gingerbread 2.3.7). Mind you, it is not ICS... But it is stable, has a nice launcher (260 Launcher) and Link2SD, which works very well.
