Help Please! Market not working; Ongoing download on notification bar

Hey everyone,
I need serious help, I've been trying to fix this problem for a couple of days but I have had no luck at all. I have searched the X10 forum for countless hours but haven't found any solid solution. I realize that many people are having problems with the 2.1 market and I tried following the advices on those forums but none of them worked.
When I try to download something from the market, it would take forever to download and the process would add to the queue on the notification bar (see screenshot). Every time I access the market, it adds another process to the notification bar. Now I'm up to 50 ongoing process, and I have no idea why it's doing this.
So far, I've tried clearing the data and cache on the market, flashing the phone to a newer firmware (now I'm on Build number: 2.1.B.0.1, Baseband: 2.1.67), factory resetting the phone, opening Google Talk (some how its suppose to work) and even uninstalling the market from phone. The funny thing is even when the market is uninstalled, the downloading process still shows on the notification bar. I'm a noob when it comes to programming but I don't think the problem is from the market itself cuz even when I factory reset my phone and uninstalled the market, the process is still ongoing and displays on the notification bar.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? Maybe I'm suppose to delete a file or kill a command or something? Any help is greatly appreciated, I'm really desperate to get my X10 fixed. Everything works perfectly besides the market so I can't download or update any of my existing apps. Thanks in advance!
Find a new vending.zip and install with recovery. Have seen it posted plenty on the forums.

I've tried wiping the cache on the market and installing a new market via Root Explorer and the market still doesn't work. I can't find vending.zip anywhere so I can't flash my phone, any idea where i can find the vending.zip??
Try this through recovery

I tried flashing the NewMarket.zip through XRecovery 0.3 and it didn't work either it uninstalled my existing market and I can't install the market through Root Explorer either. It says "There is a problem parsing the package". Do I need a newer version of XRecovery?
I installed that version through recovery v.03 .
Sorry cant be of more help.
Which rom r u running
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
I'm running EWJET LauncherProEx V001ex ROM but when I flashed to the generic 2.1.B.0.1, the market still doesn't work. I'm thinking of flashing it back to 1.6 then to 2.1 again? Thanks for the help so far, really appreciate it but I seem to have no luck with this at all
Have u tried to format everything, and install the rom once again over the existing rom?
Yep, I've factory reset the phone, reset through XRecovery before installing the new ROM and the market still won't work

[Q] Samsung apps update "loop"

Tried to search but didnt find anything.
When i start Samsung Apps a box pops up that tells me there is and update.
I click OK getting to the installation and it tells me that it will overwrite a systemapp. I click OK, Install, etc and it seems to install fine and is done.
Then when i start Samsung Apps again the same update box pops up again so I cant access the Samsung apps.
What to do?
Im using VillainROM 2.3 (KG3 based) and Ninphetamine 2.0.2 kernel. If thats to any help.
Try rebooting the device.
Ofc i have tried to reboot it, several times. And i had the problem in Villain 2.0 with cf kernel to if i remember correct.
It might have been all the time cus i havent tried samsung apps untill now.

[Q] Cant connect to wifi and su binary is wrong

I have been running GingerMOD v0.5 and wanted to change to Exynos Extreme. When it was done flashing and rebooted I could not connect to wifi and my su binary was wrong and titanium backup could not get root permission. I tried to update it with no luck.
Then I flashed back to gingerMOD and all is well. Then today I tried to flash Androidmeda-HyperDroid-v1.0.0 and ended up with the same problems as last time.
I do understand flashing well and have not had this kind of problem before. Seems to me like it has something to do with gingerMOD as my phone runs as it should on that ROM, but when I flash another the problems apear.
Edit: I also noticed that when I turn my phone off it just restarts itself. I am not rebooting but powering off. Alot of wierd stuff happening on my phone now.
Does anyone know what this could be, and what I can do to fix it?
Edit: Dont know what I did, but it started working again when I woke up
Update the SU binary.
I tried to do that but it just created a .zip file in my root folder and told me to flash it from recovery. When I did it failed.
You'll need CWM to flash that zip.
edit: Try downloading superuser from the market and you should be able to update the su binary using the app upon reboot.
That is what I am doing, but think I got the su problem fixed by flashing the ROM a few more times. Now I am having problems with superuser 3.0.1 FC when I try to remove permissions from an app.
Also the wifi problem is the same. Can connect with my original SGS but not with the SGS II. Im about 4 meters away from my router so signal should not be a problem, and I was connected when I was running gingerMOD.
What happens when I try to connect:
I type in my PW as allways, and then its trying to obtain IP and then it disables and keeps doing the same thing over and over.
Any idea what this could be? As of now I can live with superuser just FC when Im trying to do something in the app. Apps do get root permission so all is well.
But the wifi problem is worse, cant live without wifi on a smartphone
Thx for previous tips.
Are you selecting the right encryption method?
Yes, I am doing everything the same way I did it on the other ROM, but just keeps trying to obtain IP. Do you think this could be related to the ROM I am running now or the one I used before?
As I see it, it looks like the gingerMOD flash changed some settings because I am not having this problem on that ROM, but when I flash another the problem suddenly apears again. But what settings it could be I have no idea.
I just did a "hard reset" but it did not help. Have tried to flash the ROM a few more times as well with no luck.

annoying superuser

I just installed cm7.2 last night and everytime i open a rooted program i have to exept root permision somtimes 3 times in a row even thoe i have the save boxed checked.
Have you tried updating your SU binaries? Rebooting? I and many other have been running this ROM for a while without this issue. Did you do a clean install or what?
Sent from my 1.3 OC'd CM7.2 Electrify.
not sure how to update my binarys but i did do a clean install like the directions said i have even flashed over it onece casue the internet wasnt working fixed that problem but su problem still there.
Not sure what i did to fix it but it is fixed now updated the binarys and that didnot work then flashed new kernel and installed su updater fix dl in market then ran v6 supercharge to clean system and get back ram then poof it was all good.
Glad it worked out for you, best guess is the kernal fixed it? Dunno for sure but either way as long as it works now.

[Q] Wifi 'stuck at turning on' in Stock 4.1.2 JB

After flashing one of the custom roms I realised that my Wifi is stuck in "Wifi turning on mode" without a mac address and it doesn't allow me to turn off nor will it start searching for networks. I thought it's a rom problem so I fastboot to stock 4.1.2 retail british (on my retail asia), but the problem persists. To make the matter worse, the only way to root it is to have wifi enabled.
I did a search and understood that for RAZR, wifi and bluetooth is 1 chip, which means if it's a hardware failure, the bluetooth shouldn't work as well, but it works flawlessly. Almost giving up and continue to use my RAZR as a stock/non-wifi/non-rooted phone, the wifi suddenly worked one morning and I quickly rushed to root it, installed BMM and flashed a 2nd system custom rom. :victory:
Funny thing is, on every reboot, wifi still doesn't work in stock rom but a 4.2.2 custom rom's wifi (liquidsmooth and pac) works flawlessly everytime. Strangely, I've not heard of other Razr users having this problem: Nexus users encounter this, but it was solved with a firmware update. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1554150
I still want to use stock rom because I do use my razr with a lapdock and with my tv, so I would appreciate any help to solve this problem. I have also tried deleting/renaming wpa_supplicant.conf from system/etc/wifi but I think that only works if the wifi can't connect to a router properly.
I was also wondering if it's possible to install 4.2.2 wifi "drivers" in the stock 4.1.2 rom. I seriously doubt Motorola is going to release any more firmware updates for XT910/912.
I've attached a screenshot of the error in Android SDK Dalvik Debug Monitor. I think this is a difficult problem to solve but I hope a genius can help me.
This may work..try entering these commands in a terminal emulator on your phone:
Su
Wifical.sh
Please leave a thanks if I helped you!

I don't have experience working with non-USA phones, I will ask a couple friends and see what I can come up with.
I have flashed retail uk too on my razr and since then wifi keeps losing the signal for 2-3 seconds then all comes back to normal.

Try deleting wpa_supplicant.conf from system/etc/wifi then reboot. Your system will create a new one. Rename it if you're afraid.

YOU MADE MY DAY.
LiquidSmooth suddenly got wifi stuck. I tried rebooting, wiping caches, playing with airplane mode, rebooting with airplane mode on, renaming wpa_supplicant... The wifi calibration script you said WORKED.
Thanks a lot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
Maybe this helps? haha

Hmmm. I speak from my experience in MIUI ICS, as well as JB 4.2.2 liquidsmooth now, so this may or may not work.
Firstly, I would advise you to try rebooting, fixing permissions in your custom recovery (such as BMM) and then trying out the wifical.sh again. It usually is the problem on JB WIFI issues.
Since it didnt show favourable results before, I shall tell you about another way that I learnt from my experience at ICS.
Use a root explorer to navigate to: /data/misc/dhcp and delete whatever is in there, i.e. all the files present over there. Reboot your phone after that and maybe it will work...
If it doesn't then well, I'm terribly sorry. Thanks!
I am having the same problem??Can anyone please tell who to get the wifi on??
Liquidsmooth devs confirmed this issue and the wifical solution. The problem occurs in v2.7 and will be solved in future releases.

Thanks, tried what you said, but not working. There's no need to be sorry, btw.
BMM-> fix permissions
wifical.sh gave the same error:
Code:
unable to open file system/etc/wifi/TQS_D_1.7.ini (no such file or dir)
failed to read ini file system/etc/wifi/TQS_D_1.7.ini
Calibration not complete. Removing half-baked nvs
Navigated to /data/misc/dhcp, no files in there.

Mine is a stock JB problem. All other JB 4.2.2's wifi worked fine.
Glad my thread helped others though. :highfive:
I tried the wifical.sh fix, but I am getting the following error in terminal emulator:
"rm failed for /system/ect/firmware/ti-connectivity/wl1271-nvs.bin, No such file or directory Unable to open file /system/ect/wifi/TQS_D_1.7.ini (No such file or directory) Failed to read ini file /system/ect/wifi/TQS_D_1.7.ini Calibration not complete. Removing half-baked nvs"
I am on stock, FXZed back, tried installing an AOKP port on it and nothing seems to work. Thinking about trying to install either Liquid or CM since this is a fix that is known to work. But I am getting very frustrated by this since I am basically just trying to make sure that it is working so that I can just sell the damn thing.
Any other help would be greatly appreciated
