Sometimes while I'm scrolling pages fast with Opera Mini or writing with Swype suddenly my phone hangs and the four physical buttons are blinking, with screen on freeze.
The only solution is to remove the battery.
Anyone had this strange behaviour before?
Experienced a lot with stock ROM and sometimes still with CM7...

1. That is a kernel panic
2. If u had it overclocked, lower down the freq...
3. Swype sucks badly, update newer version...

So I've got a kernel panic... my O1 looked like christmas tree!
No overclock, just 600Mhz.
I've got the lastest Swype version, most of the time I have the problem with Opera Mini.
So it must be "just" an App problem, right?
I have had few such incidents myself. I did not have it with Opera Mini as I don't use it. I am using mik's CM7 and Franco's Kernel v18 with DT A2SD.
there are lots of thing which feel laggy on unrooted or 600mhz overclocked it

I installed CyanogenMod 7.0.2 beta6.4.2(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354) and Kernel with minimized touchscreen bug(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=929941) some time ago. Everything was ok but yesterday I've got wake up screen lag. When I'm pushing any button to turn on screen I need to wait for long or sometimes push the button and touch screen for aproximately 2 seconds screen. I Should immidiately get unlock screen but it doesn't happen :/ Any solution??
Reflash CyanogemMod WITHOUT wiping anything.
At the cpu settings, in cyanogen menu, increase the minimum cpu speed, should fix that
Try to disable the animation lock to off. I never faced such issue with Cm7.

Im having random reboots/restarts after I start the camera application, it's happening to fast for a screenshot but what I do manage to see is something up on the top of the screen in white letters, RAMDUMP....Im not sure if all of this is happening b/c Im on a Franco Kernel and need to go back to Mik's Kernel for CM7, also in explanation, the problem shows a black screen which appears to be somewhat like BIOS screen's (something similiar) Is there a fix to this somewhere or is this a regular occurance and I should just stop using the camera ?

Ive reflashed cm7, with the mik's default kernel-let's hope this does the trick, I really wanted to use Franco's Kernel v.18.1 bfs with performance/smartass but it seems like everytime I flash Franco's Kernal, I either get a random reboot or a kernel panic. Camera is now working but at the expense of just using Mik's kernel and not franco's ? Should I perhaps use an earlier version of Franco's Kernel or just stick with Mik's ?
Whenever i charge my phone, display remains on unless i press the power button to put it on stand by..in 2.3 there are so many applicsations running in the background which makes it a bit laggy..and flash doesnt work even in vignette..
Flash issue in vignette is related application, and i hear vignette dev are on their way to fix it.
Are you on stock rom? Rooted or not?
You can remove some bloatware and useless apps from SE with Titanium backup if your phone was rooted.

Cyanogen Mod[CM]?
I've a similar issue on my GF's phone, almost same problem, the light won't turn off for a long time unless pressing power button but her phone is an x8.
But this shouldn't happen on the stock 2.3.3.
i am using the stock 2.3, 2.3 is nice but i sort of miss 2.1, it was much faster..

about slowness problem : i highly recommend you to root your phone. flash stock DooMKernel then flash WB ROM. it may take some time but your phone will be superfast.
Xrecovery will be installed with the kernel. and the three thread are in development forum. and don't be afraid. WB ROM is very stable without any bug.and totally a stock Rom.

Hi! I've an issue on my xperia mini pro.
More than often the back key (which is a touch sensitive key) stops working.
I can't resolve this definitely. Things I tried:
- reset settings (does not work)
- total reset (works for a couple of weeks than the problem comes back)
- killing services with android system cleaner (works sometimes, I see that maybe is related to the process "Home of sony ericsson" -the stock launcher v2.1.x)
- switched to go launcher ex (worked for a full day, the problem came back)
- prevent various apps and services to startup (did not work)
- remove various apps and services (didn't work)
- update firmware to 2.3.4 (only solved the problem of the black screen that won't unlock)
what in the world should I do to fix this tedious issue?
tnx for answers, forgive me for my spaghetti english

Rom is pre-rooted, you will need to unlock bootloader and flash a different kernel.
Hardware keyboard will not be working, you'll need to get the files from the CM7 stable build for this.
I would not endorse going down this route unless you want to be running CM7 anyway, and there is no guarantee it will help.

thank you! You're right: I don't want to flash the previous version just to set up cm7! Not cause I don't like it but because with the previous version of the stock kernel I was having a much more big problem: the black screen (some others had the same problem).
Maybe I'll go on this way, waiting for ICS hoping it'll fix up everything!
btw, how's my english?
Maybe u r sweating or ur finger is kinda wet when u press it,our phone is unresponsive to fluid, except u buy an active
xperia mini pro! not active!
that would be true for the settings key too!
I think is a sort of bug of the rom... I'm getting it very often! damn!
I noticed that sometimes the screen light "shakes", like a vibration, and so the lights behing the touch keys...
the light sensor reacts to reflections of the light and shadows I make when using the phone. This is a minor thing but the back key sometimes makes really hard using the phone!

Hi guys,
I am currently on Checkrom v4 with darky kernel. Most of the time, when i open the phone from a sleep state or screen of state, the screen will not respond to unlock gesture. I have to turn the unit off for at least 2 times before the screen would eventually respond. Sometimes, when turn it of again, the will just turn black but with button lights open. Then after i turn it off again, the screen will eventually light up and respond.
I also have experience this with other samsung roms such as criskelo, batista which is why i always flash back to Cm7 wherein I don't experience this. BTW, i also dont seem to remember experiencing this on CM9... your thoughts would be appreciated... TIA
yeah buddie.i am facing the excact the same problem.............
dont know how to get rid of this........
Maybe it's kernel related?

This used to happen to me when I had a screen off profile enabled on SetCPU. If you're using SetCPU, try disabling it to see if that solves the problem.
I think i've found out what's causing this... it's the touch screen tune app... after.I removed this, it seems to be not freezing upon wake up of the device... HTH

What govenor are you using?
I'm new to the SGS2. Coming from my old SGS1 running ICS I couldnt go back to gingerbread.
Leaked ICS on SGS2= No custom kernels BUT!...
With root access and NS tools app you can tweak stock "Ondemand" govenor. Its at 100000micro seconds which is 10th of a second stock sampling rate. This is SLOW. Couple with waking from sleep and known On-demand delay issues I think this might be the culprit... Cant wait for sources
