Does anyone have the stock usb/ wifi tether apk that comes with the stock 2.2 froyo upgrade for vibrant?

I believe its built into the settings.apk
I'm curious as to why you need it. If you're still running 2.1, I recommend upgrading to 2.2, it's been a daily driver for me since jk2. Or if you don't, there is a mod for mobile ap to allow for wifi tether, but not the usb internet sharing.

my 2.2 from team whiskey comes with mobile ap for wireless , and has a setting to share internet using usb also... if you dont want to update, download an app called pdanet
You can also use the Android Wifi tether app but you phone must be rooted.

I'm using Bionix-V but cannot find an app related to wifi and wireless tethering nor do I see any options under "Wireless and network." Consequently have been using PdaNet. Am I missing out on a simpler approach?
It's in settings -> wireless and network where it's always been.
Its called mobile ap

THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I was looking under Settings|Wireless and network|tethering and also perhaps under applications! Couldn't find the darn thing anywhere! But now I see it under Settings|Wireless and network|Mobile AP. One of the great things about Android is all the flexibility. Unfortunately, it is also real easy to miss something!
Thanks again....

the problem is that i heared that 3g watchdog not doing it well when tethering
any 1 have a solution? btw is there any good way to do it ?(accept for the app i saw on market for tethering)
PDAnet or barnacle wifi tethering r the best apps. Look up on google for full versions. Some might be in market. But those r the top two.

Look on google for barnacle wifi tether. Its a wireless wifi hotspot. I use it for my laptop.
I like the stock ROM on the Thunderbolt but want wifi tether so I rooted. Which ROM would you recommend? I just want wifi tether and that's it.
TIA!

that rom. It's called Standard Debloat. All it does it pull off verizons apps like rockband and stuff like that but it is stock all the way besides that. You will find little to no difference in your experience I believe.
Hope this helps!
Or you could just install WiFi tether. Google it.

Correct, you don't need a ROM to install wifi tether, but the basic debloat would work if you want a similar user experience to stock
Anyone know if the VZW wifi hotspot vs the tether app has advantages either way? I've only used wifi tether and it seems to work ok.
Just install one of the debloat roms for a stock feel, but you dont need a rom for wifi tether
ok can someone tell me of a WiFi tether fix so ican tether my fascinate to my touchpad. Evidently it does not support adhoc. Anybody?!
Q and A.... this is not development.....

this didn't work either- it showed up but when I connected it said could not find ip.
what rom are you on?
I have a Samsung Fascinate running Wifi Tether 3.1.beta6 and a Touchpad. I do not have any issues connecting the TP to the Fascinate and browse the web.
As mainic20 asked, what rom and kernel are you running. I am running the power wash rom with the GeeWiz kernel. The powerwash kernel did not support WiFi Tether. When looking at the logs it indicated that drivers were missing. The app did load and provide me with the icon to activate the wireless. Also seemed to load looking just at the icon but log showed drivers not found.
So be aware that all kernels do not support wifi tethering.
