Hi guys, I am running GS2 KH3 Exynos 5.3 jeffrey speedfrey 3.0 kernel and JKAY 8.2 deluxe installed. I am not getting screen wake up on emails and FB notifications. I do get the icons on the notifications tab which i can see when i press the home button. Screen wake works for SMS/MMS and obviously phone calls all ok. Any ideas?

as far as i know it will only work with missed calls and SMS/MMS.
(correct me if i am wrong)
It worked for me when I was using 2.3.3 and stopped ever since i started using 2.3.4. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same.

Here's when the problem started then I'll explain it.
I was trying to install this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=751031
But when I did it said something about CM 3.0 doesn't support a certain kind of script so it aborted.
My problems:
When I turn on my phone it says that the Wi-Fi calling has stopped
I had it set so my phone would vibrate when I press the home bar buttons.
Every time I try to run the Wi-Fi calling ,it stops.
I have it set so when ever I press a button on the on-screen keyboard it should vibrate but it doesn't.
Thanks in advance.
If you need logs then I can get them, just need to tell me where they are.
EDIT - Also, the LEDs on my phone never blink, not when I have an email or text message, nor when I charge my phone. Is this just a limitation with CM7? Or how do I fix it?
Also, I realize that CM7 drains batteries pretty quickly, if you have a suggestion for an easy to install ROM/Kernel that is great at saving batteries, but keeps ADW, and most of the customization options available in CM7, do share.
Thanks again.
Also it seems that my phone is stuck charging at 57%
It's been there for a few hours now.
UPDATE -
I have it now so that the phone vibrates when I press a button with the on screen keyboard
It is charging past 57%
The home bar buttons still do not vibrate even though I have it set so they do.
UPDATE -
The video recording is very choppy. I took a video yesterday and it wasn't this choppy.
Umm so I'm guessing, nobody can help me?

dunno bro,,, just try another kernel,, i think wolvireine is a good kernel,, im trying Reduct kernel better for OC, but i think it uses battery more then wolve!
I was wondering how these worked, right now I have it enabled. Whenever I miss a call the bottom buttons on the bottom light up (menu, home, back...) and they do not go away until I clear the missed call notification. I was wondering if this is the way it is supposed to work? all there is to it? are there any settings where I can make them blink? I was thinking it would be more like the app noLED.
I'm sorry if this is a N00b question with an obvious answer, I have searched but can't find the answer.
thanks for any/all replies!
That's referred to as BLN (BackLight Notification). Its supposed to light up for missed calls, texts, emails, or any other notification. Its suppoed to state lit up til you clear it. What you are describing is expected behavior. There is an app in the market called BLN something, to manage it, built for the Captivate. There is also an app called blinky that worked on the captivate to make them blink.
In theory it should work better than NoLED, it should take less battery and processor. It hasn't been implemented in the stock based ROMs (for the S II) because it causes the phone to not enter deep sleep mode (as does noLED). It must be new to CM7. Hopefully if it doesn't cause a wake lock in CM7 it can be ported back to stock based ROMs. This is the last feature I was looking for in the custom ROMs for this phone.

Yes what he said above except Blinky and BLN APP will not work for cm7 on the SGS2. Cm7 has its own setting to control it. You can disable them if you don't want to use led notifications from with the settings or CyanogenMOD settings.
Yes it creates a wakelock until you clear the message, missed call, etc. Then the wakelock goes away. Also there is a timeout for the led notification that can be controlled also.

Hello Everyone
Ok so ill state what i have first
Im running toasts CM9 rom previously i was on Miks Sense 3.5
anyway when i was on that rom vibrate would work fine for text messages, and that was the first time as it didnt work on any other roms either.
And now im on toasts CM9 and the vibrate doesnt turn on for texts at all....it works for calls and when im changing volume but if its a message nothing...basically all i get is the screen stays off and all of a sudden the notification light is blinking thats it...i tried SMS popup and it didnt do anything either.
So can anyone give me some advice.
Also if anyone can recommend an app to make texts appear on my tablet and allow me to send them from the tablet as well (i have juiced defender on my phone so its an issue with certain sms apps)
thank you
probably a stupid question but have you tried fixing permissions through recovery or reflashing the ROM? might be that your vibrator could be going out.. just my 2 cents
yeah i tried that just now thanks for the advice but it didnt work out
the strange thing is that vibrate works for everything else but texts
In your messaging app, click 'menu, settings' then there should be an option for notifications, and a checkbox for 'vibrate when notifications received' or something similar since I'm not on CM9.

Yeah I have that set to always vibrate and still nothing
Since it's working for calls but not texts... clear the application data..?
hi,
I've using Go SMS with BLN for a long time without any problems...till now.
I can't give a precise date about when Go SMS stops working with BLN, maybe 2 months ago, but indeed it's not working anymore.
I tried all the possible settings and combinations, but i just can't get it to work.
The problem is very simple...after received a message the screen goes on, the leds start to blink...then when the screen goes off, leds turn off.
I thought the problem could be on my rom (XWLPM 4.0.4) or the BLN itself, but i installed Handcent SMS, to test, and everything works like a charm...
Again, i installed Zlango, and everything works great...installed Go Sms...BLN doesn't work...
Anybody knows anything about this issue? Anyone found a possible solution?
Cheers

BLN works perfectly fine with gosms here.
The problem:
- because gosms turns the screen on when you receive message
The solution:
- disable screen on after you reduce message in gosms settings
How to do this:
-open gosms
-goto settings, advanced settings
-select notification
-disable screen on and unlock screen under screen settings
Problem solved
Note: Ensure, notification light is also enabled in gosms.
Good luck

I am trying to get my LED to blink, but even after disabling screen on via GO SMS Pro settings, the screen still turns on whenever there're incoming text messages. Any suggestions?
I'm awaiting a response from the GO Dev Team, but I heard they don't respond in a timely manner...I have a SIII (SGH-T999). Not root, stock 4.1.1
Thanks!
Hi guys,
i been having this very annoying problem with my GS3 LTE (9305) but when i compare to other GSIII's it seems only mine behave like this but i cant find any reason or any option for the cause.
Basically the problem is that when i call someone and the phone screen goes to off sometime i want to wake up the screen and press the button below the screen and what my phone does is to minimize the call application but on my friends phone the call application stays and only the screen is turned on.
Can you guys please help me finding the root cause to why my call application minimizes itself when the screen is off?
I been searching for every option there is and cant find anything useful, also i have never installed any other dialer application or anything like that.
Please help me this is getting me nuts.

I tested on a GSII LTE + GSIII + Note2 and all are running JB and works fine on their phone.
If it is a bug i hope Samsung fixes it soon, its been a while i got an update and this thing is so annoying.

I meant Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean roms... Jkays framework fixes this issue.
If i recall correctly it has something to do with a setting in s-voice I think. Also it happens with any application when the screen turns off.

Yes, this issue isn't unique to the dialler. If you let the screen timeout with any application then press the home key, it returns to the home screen.
The workaround is to make sure than in the S-Voice settings, you have "Open via the home key" option set. After this, a single home key press will wake the device without returning to the home screen.

Sadly that didnt work either. I had actually S Voice disabled but enabled and did what you said but it still minimizes the call application
EDIT: very strange , tested calling 4-5 times and suddenly after my friend called me it started working. I called my other cell before and it works fine now. THANK ALLOT MAN.
EDIT2: funny i tried to disable S-Vice again and to my surprise it stil works.
